Finding Joy Among Black Skiers at ‘50 Years of Soul on Snow’
"Vail Mountain provides thrilling snowboarding and skiing experiences. Visitors often find joy and laughter, even when falling. It's a place where beginners can learn with the help of attentive instructors like Charlie, who offer guidance and encouragement. The mountain is also a venue for events like the National Brotherhood of Skiers' 50th-anniversary celebration, which brings together over 2,000 Black skiers and snowboarders for activities including snowshoeing competitions, scavenger hunts, uphill ski races, and ski sessions with snow pros. The mountain is not just a skiing destination but a place where people can connect with their community and experience a sense of freedom and pride."
I love snowboarding and skiing here. I have never been in summer but come almost every year to hit the slopes. It’s super nice runs with daily grooming reports. You can easily find spots to rent out gear nearby. The runs vary in difficulty so everyone of every skill level can still have a good time. Definitely recommend.

Amazing 360° views. We couldn’t get enough of it. What a gorgeous day. The hike that we did was paved and really easy even in the high altitude.

3rd year skiing in Vail and having another epic couple of days on the slopes. We skied most of the front of the mountains today and plan to hit the back bowls tomorrow. Weather was great, snow was awesome, and very few people so we never waited for lifts or felt crowded. Very pleased and will continue to come back. Sounds like Vail caught a bad wrap this past weekend when they got almost 3 feet of snow and half the mountain was closed resulting in extra long lift lines. Fortunately we skied mid week! Totally different.

The people were nice and cafe was clean, but there was barely any food choices, and the food was not good. Vail mountain COO, what are you doing and can you make the food better so that I actually want to eat there? Also talk to the CEO of vail resorts that the whole company needs to invest more in the mountain food experience.

Best ski mountain in North America. What Vail Mountain lacks in scenery, in size and in food on the mountain (horrific) relative to European ski resorts, it more than makes up in the variety of terrain and in snow quality. Personally I love skiing on runs with trees so that the visibility is good even on heavy snow days. Lines can be long (we had a 40 minutes line at gondola 1 on Friday March 5th).

Horrible customer service. Don't bother buying the pass early. god forbid something happens that does not allow you to go they will charge the full amount of pass with no exceptions. Something has changed with them. in years past i would pay a down payment for lift tickets. come fall i had the CHOICE to either pay the balance and get the lift tickets or CXL and lose the down payment. Well i was just charged the full amount and am being told i cant get that money back.
Moreover, the ticketing staff at the mountain are rude. They've lost a great client with me.

Lines are long. Roller runs with double fall lines. Total skiers mountain if you love bumps. Highway noise from wherever you stay in town if you open the windows. Not worth the ridiculous prices.
