If you're in Budapest, you absolutely must visit this bakery. It's hands down the best place for pastries in the city. The croissants are unreal—flaky, buttery, and perfectly baked, with just the right balance of crispness and softness. They’re, without exaggeration, some of the best croissants I’ve ever eaten. The bakery offers a variety of other pastries and breads, all made with the same attention to detail and quality. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and want to thank the team of creators and those, who make these pastries. I like their croissants very much, bread is great and desserts are simply delicious, trust me I know what I’m saying! Some things taste just like you’d get in a good place in France or other famous stores. They definitely don’t lie saying that their stuff is out of this world 👍🏻 it totally is. The only couple of things I’d personally would want to be improved are: paper bags provided when you order take away and pay this much for the food and the staff at the main counter could be a bit friendlier to foreigners (I don’t speak Hungarian but maybe they’re so cold to everyone idk). I love coming there anyway, you took my heart 😊

had a delicious breakfast here by treating myself to a flaky and indulgent pistachio croissant. the filling was not overly sweet but rather rich in a deep nutty flavour – super tasty! we also enjoyed a sundried tomato and pesto pastry to counter the croissant which was just as good! an outstanding bakery :)

I highly recommend visiting Vaj café. I tried their popular pistachio croissant, and it did not disappoint—it’s perfectly crispy and delicious. Their latte is also of good quality, with a smooth foam and a well-balanced flavor that’s never too bitter. The service is both fast and friendly, making the whole experience enjoyable.

Amazing place! The croissant was perfect—crispy and buttery, just like in France. The filter coffee was really good too. The café is on a beautiful square, a great spot to enjoy a peaceful and indulgent morning. Definitely worth a visit!

Great pistachio croissant and AMAZING (fast!) service. I was impressed with their system, was such a busy day (Sunday) but the system they created to deliver fast the orders having numbers on the table and having a take away area are just great. I will come back for sure, I love how organized they are.

Great pistachio croissant! It had a great amount of filling, which feels like a luxury. Creamy, salty and lightly roasted pistachio cream with pieces of whole pistachio nuts in it. A bit busy and loud in the café, but probably because of its popularity.

Everything we tried was amazing, fresh out of the oven. We couldn’t leave without two sourdough breads and another four diferent croissants. The coffee was excellent, fast and friendly service.
