This is a very nice place! They serve really good coffee and excellent pastries! Both savory and sweet. I recommend the creme brûlée croissant, it has such a great texture and amazing flavors. The cafe has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. The only negative thing is that we had questions about allergies that they didn’t take seriously or could answer at first. After that they got the manager, then we felt better because he could give answers about what pastries contained nuts! Overall I had a good experience

The pastries are tasty yet overpriced compared to other spots in the city. Pain au chocolat was a let down in both its texture and taste. The ham and cheese sandwich was tasty but not worthy of such a price tag. Atmosphere was busy due to an overall complicated design with regard to the ordering and paying. Service was good. Overall the shop is aesthetically pleasing and cool looking. I would give a 3,5 star if it was a possibility.

A popular and busy cafe and bakery beside Rakoczi station. The croissant here are very nice. Soft sweet and moist. Their speciality coffee was also pretty good too although a bit pricey. They have few outdoor tables which is a bonus.

A very good-looking bakery/café. Everything tasted as expected, but not everything that looked good was as well-seasoned as I would have hoped. The croissants and other pastries were excellent; the cakes had slight flavor shortcomings, but overall it was pleasant. Thank you, and I think if we’re nearby again, we’ll stop by.

Amazing bakery with incredible pastries (worth the wait!) Vaj Bakery is truly one of the best bakeries I’ve visited — Scandinavian-inspired and absolutely delicious. There was a long line when we arrived, but it moved super quickly. The staff were friendly and efficient. It’s quite crowded outside, and there are lots of pigeons hanging around hoping for leftovers. But if you’re patient, tables free up pretty quickly. I tried the pistachio croissant — 10/10, with a rich, intense pistachio flavor. The vanilla poppy seed roll blew me away — the combination was amazing, full of flavor with delicious vanilla cream and perfect dough. One of my friends had the bostock croissant, and it was mind-blowing — another 10/10! And savoury one with pesto and dried tomatoes was guite delicious as well! Coffee was good quality too, a nice pairing with the pastries. A fantastic spot for pastry lovers. Crowded, but absolutely worth it for the quality of the food.

It is with a heavy heart that I only selected two items from the menu: an espresso orange and the pistachio and berries croissant pudding. The former for its refreshing summer vibe and the latter for to wrap my mind around how that combination of words can go together. And good lord does everything go together beautifully. This was amazing. The pudding is soft, but has flaky layers like a croissant. The berries are tart and the pistachios nutty. Gorgeous seating too. 10/10.

Amazing bakery in my favorite street in Budapest. Amazing pistachio croissant and coffee. Great vibes and friendly service. Were able to find place on a busy Sunday despite lots of people coming.

If you're in Budapest, you absolutely must visit this bakery. It's hands down the best place for pastries in the city. The croissants are unreal—flaky, buttery, and perfectly baked, with just the right balance of crispness and softness. They’re, without exaggeration, some of the best croissants I’ve ever eaten. The bakery offers a variety of other pastries and breads, all made with the same attention to detail and quality. Whether you're grabbing a quick breakfast or looking to indulge, this spot is a true gem. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back every day!
