Another absolute favourite in Budapest: Vaj Café.
We stopped there early — around 7:30 in the morning — to pick up breakfast while driving to Aqua World. Since we were planning to spend the whole day there (and we’re generally not fans of food at such places), grabbing something proper beforehand felt like the right move. And wow — we were so glad we did.
The people working there were incredibly kind and friendly, even that early in the morning. Everything felt warm, welcoming, and unpretentious.
We picked up a Diavolo Toastie, which was genuinely to die for. Sitting back home in Kenya now, I still find myself thinking about it — that good.
Another unforgettable bite was their chocolate croissant. Not just any croissant — it had two different kinds of chocolate, and when eaten warm, it was honestly dessert straight out of a dream.
So, so worth the early stop.
A must-visit when you’re in Budapest.
