Vakkaru Maldives

Our stay at Vakkaru was extraordinary. The island itself is very green surrounded by several blue holes wity beautiful corals. The villas are spacious and thoughtfully designed. Our butler Tina went above and beyond in every possible way. She helped to organize our special event and we are really grateful for her dedication. Highly recommended

Exquisite hotel with great atoll - several spots for snorkelling with variety of sea creatures. Good choice of dinner restaurants. We loved our sunset water villa. The staff was very attentive, a big thank you to our butler Tina, who was taking care of us, she is amazing!! Can’t wait to come back 🤍

Our November stay at Vakkaru was amazing to say the least.|The island is beautiful and the staff were first class.|Before continuing with the review, I 100% recommend you visit Vakkaru, you will not be disappointed on any level.||Upon arrival, the staff were welcoming and happy to answer any questions we had. Our butler Juman was always available if we needed help and checked up on us regularly. ||The island itself is amazingly maintained and it truly felt like we were on a desert island, with our room leading directly to the beach and sea. The sea surrounding Vakkaru is clear, blue, and full of life. We went snorkeling almost every day and were never bored of seeing so many types of fish, and surprisingly many sharks. We first spotted sharks when we were having our first breakfast on the beach, and we could see them so close to the shore. We were incredibly fortunate to have swam with a green turtle, on three separate occasions. I cannot describe in words just how amazing every snorkel felt, the only thing that stopped us from going every day was the weather. ||The staff on the island are some of the most friendly and helpful people you could ask for. As the staff floated from restaurant to restaurant, you were able to talk to the same staff on several occasions and get to know them. There are too many staff to name, but ones we encountered most often and whom gave us a consistent welcoming and comfortable experience were: Mohamed, Shaan, Anji, Shammu, Iazz, Ankita, Ivon, and our butler, Juman. ||The island, the staff, and the food were fantastic. There are several restaurants on the island. As we do not eat fish, we did not dine at two of the restaurants but we thoroughly enjoyed our experiences at Onu, Vakku, Isoletta, and the buffet breakfast. Our favourite was the asian restaurant, Onu. There is such a variety of food to try and the atmosphere is amazing. A high level of attention to detail is present in all aspects of the island.||I hope to return to Vakkaru in the future as our first stay was something I will never forget.

The whole resort was amazing in every way. The location was perfect located at the Baa Atoll, the facilities available was great, the selection of restaurants, the daily activities the resort provided was wonderful and the beach all around the island was amazing. The number of marine life I have spotted during my stay was amazing, you can tell that so much effort is done to preserve the natural habitat of the marine life there.||We tried both the over water villa and the beach villa. Both were nice in different ways. The rooms in both villas were extremely spacious. We also had the chance to get a massage at the Spa, which was amazing, it’s located over water with windows and glass flooring, which made the whole experience remarkable. I got the best deep tissue massage which I haven’t got in a long time.||The resort also has a great run route for those who love running outdoors, and a well equipped over water gym with windows to see the sea while training. ||What makes Vakkaru a special and wonderful resort is the whole team and staff. They made our trip so special in so many ways. The whole team are so genuine and kind, very positive and cheerful, and have attended to all our requests.||A special thanks goes to our butler Tina, who went over and beyond to make our stay was perfect. She made sure we got the best villas for us to stay at. She attended to all our requests in a timely manner. She is friendly and always cheerful, and have given us good recommendations when we asked and is just wonderful in so many ways.||A special thanks also goes to all the chefs, waiters, bar tenders, the service staff and not to forget the artistic barista at the breakfast who made special coffee arts to kick off my day. Each and every one of them were extremely friendly and cheerful. You can feel their positive energy as soon as you walk into the place. ||Finally I would like to thank Mo, who has also taken good care of us. He would pass by us every day during breakfast and dinner to check on us and make sure we are fine and have no issues or concerns. ||This resort is highly recommended and I would definitely consider visiting it again.

We had a fantastic family vacation at Vakkaru Maldives, the photos don’t do the resort justice, it feels natural yet elegant, very lush, well kept and maintained. Food was excellent in all restaurants and breakfast had a very wide selection. The staff were super friendly and we want to send special thanks to our butler Bek who was amazing and super responsive, no request was too difficult and everything was done seamlessly and smoothly. We can’t wait to come back to Vakkaru !!

It was a fantastic travel in Vakkaru. I went with my three children and my other family members. They all enjoy the time very much, except there's only 2 Chinese bufflets at that time. But we have a very kind and helpful LONGEY! My children love him a lot. He helped us asap when we needed him. We changed our room during the 5days but all the staff had tried their best to help us. Hope to go there again. see ya!

We’ve travelled to many places around the world and stayed in countless hotels and resorts — some even more expensive than this — but Vakkaru is truly the BEST experience we’ve ever had.Baa Atoll is already one of the world’s most pristine ecological reserves, and the resort’s blue holes and sandbanks are simply addictive. We could visit them several times a day and still never get enough. At any moment, you’ll find different kinds of fish swimming freely around you.Beyond the beauty and the facilities, what truly makes Vakkaru unforgettable is the people.Our butler Myat, the sommelier, and our roomboy Mohamond all went above and beyond, offering the warmest, most thoughtful care throughout our stay. Their kindness made all the difference.It’s really hard for us to leave.We will definitely be back — and without a doubt, we’ll choose Vakkaru again.
