20 Best Places to Go Apple Picking in the U.S.

"Located a short drive from Omaha, this orchard celebrates the season with a Cider and Sunflower Festival on many September weekends featuring live music, guided orchard tours, sunflower picking and photo opportunities, tractor rides to the fields, abundant Honeycrisp/Gala/Pixie Crunch apples, and adult tastings at the on-site cider mill." - Andrea Romano Andrea Romano Andrea Romano is a writer and editor in New York City. Vala's Pumpkin Patch is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to get into the fall spirit! From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is magical. The variety of activities is incredible—there's something for everyone, whether you're a kid or a kid at heart. The pumpkin selection is fantastic, with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes ready for carving. The food is delicious, the corn maze is a blast, and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. It's the perfect place to make wonderful autumn memories with family and friends. We can't wait to go back next year!

I won a pair of tickets through the school I work for. My son and I spent the day enjoying the farm. We picked pumpkins and took lots of pictures. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. My favorite part was picking the Pink Lady and Granny Smith apples. That was a great deal too. Oh, the food was good, but a bit overpriced. The reason for the four stars. We had a brisket and rib combo that was delicious. Their Mac and cheese would make you want to slap your mama; it was so good. I had a hard cider that was excellent and their nonalcoholic cider for kids was also delectable. Overall, it is a wonderful place to make family memories, just make sure you have a lot of money in the bank to cover expenses. Did I mention, it is a cashless facility. So, don’t bother pulling money from the bank, they won’t take it.

Overall, was a great time. Once you pay the entrance fee, there are a lot of little low maintenance activities you can do for free (non-jumpscare haunted houses, mini golf in a shed, jump pads, corn seed pit, corn maze, etc.). The apple tree ride was a nice free surprise in the back. Expect theme park prices for food and drink. Other big activities like apple picking, rock sifting, and apple launchers cost money naturally. Its called a pumpkin patch, but the theme is very clearly apple orchard related. Lots of cider & hard cider options from drinks to slushies. They have some weird shops that sell tacky junk and not Valas related theme items. Kids enjoyed the little attractions going on around the park (patch?) Such as live music, small comedy skits & circus acts, face painting, train ride, etc. Advice: Do apple picking last so you don't have to carry the bag around. Wear good walking shoes, you'll be doing a lot of that. Go earlier in the day, less crowded.

It was my first time ever visiting but I had an absolute blast taking in all the fun and beautiful scenery. I dabled in a few ciders which I ended up buying a few bottles of on my way out and of course a caramel dipped apple. So much to do in a day I cant wait to go back ! I 100% recommend enjoying a full day there with good company but wear your walking shoes because you will want to explore everything !

Wow! I have gone here since I was a very young child and just wow! They've definitely done much needed updates throughout. There is just SOOO much to do now! We spent 6 hours here and feel like we barely made a dent in all the stops. Yes, you will deal with it being crowded and all that but that should be expected for what you're getting! All 3 of our kids(5,10,&12) had an absolute blast! They didn't want to leave! When I was a kid, the most exciting part was to buy my little stupid gift towards the end... But now!! They have so many things for ALL of the kids to do and enjoy! The youngest and I got to watch a fire show while the older ones waited in line for another activity and it was great! We actually got to see 2 very different fire shows!! FREAKING FIRE SHOWS AT THE PUMPKIN PATCH PEOPLE!!! Lol! Seriously though, we all had an absolutely amazing time while we were there! Picking pumpkins was super easy as well! We are planning another trip there before the season is over!!

This is the ultimate pumpkin patch. I get to come out and see family here once a year. This place is Disney world of the plains. It is the ultimate harvest attraction. The park is family friendly that makes you feel intoxicated as soon as you step into this fall wonderland. They have some of the best food, hard cider, family entertainment, and carnival games. You could spend two days here and still not see everything it has to offer. The ticket prices are expensive but most everything in the park is free. Most places would charge extra for the rides and attractions within their park. We look forward to coming out to this place every year and it’s nice to see them updating and expanding each year. One of my major complaints is the parking. If you’re not there early expect to wait a long time to get in. Parking is an absolute nightmare. Valas only has one way entrance in and out of the park. All parking is monitored and directed but almost a safety concern if you needed to get out of the park. With the expansion we hope to see a second entrance and exit in the future. Overall a must see experience for you and your family.

Google
We spent 8 hours here chaperoning with the school field trip, and our son as well. In that entire time we walked 6 miles and still didn’t get to everything. There is so much to do here and the kids had a great time. Plenty of free things to experience and quite a few things you do have to pay for. I would say it is priced on the higher side, and food and drinks are as well but I would categorize this more as an amusement park than a pumpkin patch/apple orchard. There are SO many things to do, and a ton of of photo opportunities.

Valas Pumpkin Patch is an absolute fall favorite! From the moment you arrive, you can feel the warmth, fun, and family spirit everywhere. The farm is clean, beautifully decorated, and filled with activities for all ages—corn mazes, apple picking, pumpkin patches, amazing food, and cozy fire pits. The frozen apple cider slushy, apple cider donuts and caramel apples are a must! It’s the perfect place to make family memories, take great photos, and enjoy a crisp Nebraska autumn day. We look forward to going every year—it never disappoints!

Yelp
The pumpkin patch has lots to do for the whole family. They add new activities each year which is nice. The food is always good. They need to have trams to take you to the farthest parking lots after dark if they are not going to have better lighting it is very dangerous to be walking on a main road across a one lane bridge after dark with cars speeding past you, especially with little kids. With the money Vala's makes they need to think more about safety. I would recommend leaving before dark if you are in the farthest lots.

Yelp
Another year, another great time at valas! I had a hard cider slushy which was yummy! Next time, I might choose the non alcoholic slushy that came with cold foam and an apple cider donut! I can never leave without at least a 6 pack of apple cider donut! They happened to be making fresh and hot donuts which were a special treat. I had a good time and enjoyed my food.

Yelp
A good friend of ours had mentioned the charm of Vala's Pumpkin Patch; but we hadn't taken time to visit there. So, she gave us a gift card for admission to this awesome place. Such a nice gesture! We were surprised at the size, scope, and beauty of Vala's: Delicious foods. Live shows. Old-school and newer rides. Interesting exhibits. Intriguing displays. Lots of Antiques. Play areas. Walking trails. Country air. Pretty flowers. Mazes. Games. Music. Farm products. Fun Haunted houses. Nice people. Because we went on a Thursday, lines for the rides weren't too bad. We heard that it can be quite crowded on the weekends. It was a fun-filled day that connected us with past memories while creating many new experiences that we will cherish for years to come.

Yelp
While there are certain things about Vala's I did like, I can't get past the cost. The food was just ok, but at a sit down restaurant price. The lemonade was a huge let down this year. Ended up throwing most of it away. The pork sliders were good and they have good novelty items like fudge and cider donuts. All the attractions had super long lines and they are not adequately lit for being open until 9pm. Felt unsafe stumbling uneven surfaces in the dark. Just can't see us coming back again.

Yelp
10/ 26/2025 This was my first visit with some well seasoned friends that knew the layout of all the food/drink spots to hit. This place gives all the Halloween town vibes, it gives off the childhood feels that makes you want to walk around all day and just enjoy the day. We hit the spots for a nice warm brew sat outside next to the fire pits (nice touch). Lines weren't as bad as they looked the lil piggy race was too cute I loved how they chose people of all ages. The food got great reviews from my friends especially the pot pies. The gift shop to exit was a really nice touch as well with something for everyone

Yelp
Vala's is a great spot if you have kids. I will say that they have added more things for adults to enjoy, but I would say it's not enough to vindicate the high admission price on the weekend. They continue to add new attractions, which is great, but the older attractions are broken down and covered in dust. The best thing to do at Vala's as an adult is try some of the delicious food and drinks. Today I tried an apple cider slushie and a piece of the brown butter pie. Both were absolutely delicious!

Yelp
My significant other and I spent the day at Vala's, and it really lived up to the hype! It's a full fall experience -- from pumpkins and flowers to cider flights, hearty comfort food, and plenty of sweet treats. The grounds are beautifully decorated, making it easy to get into the autumn spirit. This place is definitely geared toward families with kids -- there's so much for little ones to do, but there's also plenty for adults to enjoy. Between the cider, pretzels, BBQ, pie, and unique snacks like monster cookies and Nutella pop tarts, we never went hungry (or thirsty). That said, it is on the pricey side, so be prepared for food, drinks, and extras to add up quickly. Still, for a once-a-season outing, it feels worth it for the memories, photos, and atmosphere. Overall: A fun and festive spot for all ages, especially if you want the full fall pumpkin patch experience!

Yelp
Another great opening of the fall season with Vala's! I am continually impressed in all that they are adding to make this place truly magical. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Some of our favorite attractions/activities are the roller coaster, train, motorized cars, Nick and Morty small train, and of course going to get fresh apple cider donuts! I did purchase a season pass during their sale for all three of the people in our household. I was a little bummed to see that it went from $75 to $85 this year but I definitely understand why with all of the great additions they continuously are making. My one hang-up with Vala's is their lacking of cleaning when it comes to some of the walk-through/ride-through attractions. So many areas are just caked in dust. It's pretty gross. Some areas that definitely need some love in that regard this year are the story book area, mine, and the saloon on the train ride. New and fun is great, but please pay some mind to the classics! They need to send some people out in suits and respirators with some leaf blowers! I am so thankful that we have this amazing place in our community. It's so fun to be able to bring my daughter to the same place I enjoyed going to while growing up.

Yelp
Valas seems to be a classic fall activity for everyone in the Omaha + surrounding areas. It is probably the largest pumpkin patch with the most attractions. I love being able to spend the whole day here and not run out of things to do. The prices are expensive and you do have to purchase some activities as well. My favorite things are the new rollercoaster, the kettle corn, and all the photo ops! Literally there is one on every corner. I also appreciate there are things for all ages here. Tip is to either go on a week day or early on the weekends!

Yelp
I have once again been blown away. I feel like I discover something new every time I visit this place. I've been going here a little over a year with a season pass going regularly and I had no idea they had funnel cakes!! They have so many flavors and options available I was blown away. I 100% recommend sharing with a few friends. My sister and I split the cookies and cream funnel cake (highly suggest trying it) and there was so much!!!! The workers were so kind and helpful and made sure we got out money's worth. I appreciate the high quality of food they send out too! I haven't had a single food item here that I didn't think looked delicious!! It does happen to be a bit spendy, however I think the workers understand that and try to give you the most bang for your buck as they can.

Yelp
This year the activities don't really outweigh the impressive cost of food. Disappointed in the price of food, even with the annual pass it's hard to merit paying this much for food. We shared everything and still spent about $30 on lunch. Would love to see more benefits other than "rides" with long lines that I don't need to go on more than once.
google avatar

Brandon C.

Yelp
This place is extremely expensive. My boyfriend & I won't be coming back here willingly! $4.00 for a bottle of water!? Are you kidding me!? It costs $30.00 for each person for admissions to get in! Parking is horrible too. So many kids screaming & the place is so crowded & huge that we got lost and couldn't meet up with our friends cause we couldn't find them for hours we gave up and he decided to leave without them. We will never come back. It was boring. It was lame. It was annoying. It was expensive. It was ridiculous. It was tiring too!

Ruby K.

Yelp
I go to Vala's once a year. First things first, yes, it's pricey. We go Monday-Thursday to save a little money. I've noticed the upgrades they've done and not just the ride updates. The paint and attraction updates to the spooky house and the pirate maze are great. There's so much to do we usually spend the entire day there. The food is amazing! We have favorites like the nachos from the smokehouse (pictured) and the turkey legs of course! The ONLY thing I wish would be better is the area by the roller coaster/spinny ride. The closest food spot is the diary barn and that's always packed. They only have a lemonade stand and the alcohol stand. A regular drink stand with some snacks would be nice. I know there's nothing they can do about the lines so not worth complaining about it. I kinda would like an indoor playground or just an area I guess for toddlers that's supervised so no older kids get in (kinda like the pillows).

Yelp
A wonderful experience and great destination for the family. Complimentary parking is available, although unpacked so drop carriages and folks that need a smooth walking surface off at the front ticket area. Tickets are a little pricey, but it includes access to all of the shows, rides, and play areas. Seasonal tickets are available for folks that plan to come back more than once. Note that this operation is only open in the fall. Highly recommend trying to come out during the week as it was very busy midweek, in the afternoon, and I can't even imagine what the crowds would be like on the weekends. Many places to stop and grab snacks, drinks, even adult beverages, but pricing is a little steep. Convenience store with plenty of choices available on the way out as well addition to a pumpkin weigh in station. Personnel are super friendly and eager to assist with any questions. We really enjoyed the ride out to the pumpkin patch and there was just enough time to get what we needed. I highly recommend this as a seasonal type of visit. Do be prepared for crowds during peak hours and watch out for some of the pricing on the add-ons that can tally up quickly.

Yelp
After 20 years of going to Vala's every October (with only a couple missed years in between), we will be saying good-bye to our yearly tradition. We've noticed over the past few years a lot of the changes being made, some good, some not so good. But even the "not good" was not enough to stop us from our fun fall outing...Until this year. For the past 10 years or so we've been using the fantastic Homeschool Days to take advantage of discounted, educational activities at Vala's. There were always a variety of days thru September and October for us to choose from during the week, and we always went in mid-to-late October. This year when I checked the October days at the beginning of the month there were only two, one of which had already passed and the final day was not only the next day (so very late notice) it was also scheduled to be cold and rainy. Not an ideal day to go on an outing, especially one that is 99% outdoors. The last thing we need is to get sick from spending the day in chilly rain. So I contacted Vala's to ask if they would be adding any additional homeschool days to the month of October and received an email the next day that there would be no more. I don't know what reasoning Vala's has for reducing the number of days in October for their homeschool families to attend and I'm sure there are many families like my own who are incredibly disappointed by this unexpected change. Over the past 20 years we have watched Vala's grow into a local phenomenon. While I understand the need to pay for all the growth (new rides, new areas, new activities), it has quickly become unaffordable for the average family. If it weren't for Homeschool Days, we would have had to stop our yearly tradition a lot sooner. A $25/person cost (on a "non-busy" day, mind you *and* a flat fee for every person age 3+) adds up very fast for a family of 5. I couldn't imagine choosing to go on a weekend day and spend $43/person!! And when you include food (which used to be incredibly good, but has taken a dive in quality and accessibility), I feel like we'd have to sell a kidney just to afford this once a year tradition. In the end, I am very thankful to Vala's for the good memories we did have for many years. I am sad to see this tradition end. But where old traditions end, new ones will begin. I wish the Vala Family and their farm all the best in the years to come. [Pictures included of another tradition come and gone--we started taking a yearly picture of the kids on the stairs in the corn maze in 2017. Last year's picture was almost like the death knell of the tradition when the beloved corn maze had been removed due to dry weather conditions and the area blocked off, so we were only to get a picture at the gate.]

Yelp
Over the years living here in Nebraska I've finally found it in myself to embrace more of what Nebraska offers. I've heard of Vala's throughout the years and even attended through my work which had a campfire set up and food for us. It wasn't until recently that I fully understood the meaning this place has to many people who have seen it grow from its humble family roots. My boyfriend took me here last year and I was able to see it through his eyes and listen to how he would come here as a young boy. It gave me a whole different perspective of what Vala's is and what they offer. Coming from an island in the Pacific we didn't have anything like this. Granted, summer was the most prominent season followed by rain; Seasons I would choose over frigid winters in a heart beat, BUT, I do enjoy the changing leaf colors and silence of snow on the ground. Each time I have visited since my first time with Dillon I have walked around thinking about the time, effort, and work it takes to create something like this. Every little detail reminds me of the attention to detail Walt Disney gave to each part of his park and Roy Disney gave to Disney World. I learned later that Vala's was influenced by Disney and their family loves Disney. It makes sense. They make sure everything is clean, there's no rubbish on the ground, I see staff actively picking up rubbish, helping people throughout the park. When we went on the hayrack ride at sunset I appreciated the vastness of their farm. The ride kept going until we reached the pumpkin patch with the orange pumpkins. We eagerly jumped out and ran out to the field to find our perfect pumpkins to carve for Halloween. Walking around to where the apple orchards are and the Cider mill is I walked with respect for this family who created something special for families. When I looked at the chairs in the barns that go with the aesthetic and don't run cheap; I can see why the price of tickets can seem steep. And then, I do see how they are trying to balance the extremely fine line between offering tickets at affordable prices and ensuring they can pay the staff they hire during the open season as well as when they are taking care of the rest of the farm. The gas for the tractors, the wages for the staff, the fertilizer for the pumpkins, apples, everything else around the farm. During the summer they offer their season passes at a 25% discount, an offer I highly anticipated so we could go when we wanted and not feel like we had to spend the whole day there. They also offer weekday season passes that are cheaper, weekday daily tickets are discounted, and they opened three days after Halloween for the first time and their tickets were at a discount then too! There is nothing like this anywhere else I've been and takes the season of fall celebrating to a whole new level. I know we will keep coming back because the memories created here are warm, special, and will last a lifetime. I never really cared for fall before because it came right before winter, but now fall means something different. It means spending time with family, watching leaves change and eating warm pies, hot apple cider, and sharing this transformation with someone you love.

Yelp
Vala's is an Omaha favorite and a must-visit for us! This was our second trip this year. The food is fantastic. This time, I finally tried the turkey leg, and it was delicious but definitely big enough to share! We also enjoyed some ciders. I had the Cherry Fizz and my boyfriend tried the Blueberry, both were so good! We caught the fire show with Peter, who was engaging and fun to watch. While we love Vala's, it's pricey. Admission and activities add up quickly. They're expanding nicely, but I think some of the original attractions could use a refresh. I'm glad they finally updated the haunted house.

Yelp
A great locally owned pumpkin patch with numerous attractions! Our youngest son loves the Egg Barn, where there are tons of foam balls that the kids can use in various compressed air areas. Our middle son loves the obstacle course down by the corn maze. Our oldest stays in the sports area where you can try to make shots through holes or see how fast you can throw with a radar gun. I do recommend if you plan on going a lot waiting for the season pass sale. We get the full week but they do a weekday pass that is cheaper.
google avatar

Bryan A.

Yelp
What Fall would be complete without at least one Family Valas Trip? Treats Galore. Lots of walking and activity. Too many to name...but this places gets better each year! Chili Bread Bowl is incredible, despite the beans.
google avatar

Janet R.

Yelp
We had 3 adults wanting to visit Vala's, but for $126 for the three of us we passed. We'll go to our local farmer's market.
google avatar

Katelyn A.

Yelp
The most perfect fall place! My favorite thing is to come with a group of friends and rent out a bonfire & grill out while drinking their famous ciders! The staff is always friendly & ifs typically pretty busy! If you plan on going more than once in a single season, I'd recommend getting a season pass. It saves you a lot of money!
google avatar

Sara H.

Yelp
We have fun every time we go, but don't go often due to cost. This last visit we met some amazing staff members and learned quite about the pumpkin patch and the orchard! I would have given 5 stars, but it's just too expensive.
google avatar

Meg B.

Yelp
As a life long Vala's attendee, I'm surprised I haven't review them yet! I could spend hours recounting the many times i've been here since the 1990's. However, it's evolved and changed just as much as I have! We came yesterday, two adults, for my birthday. Despite not having my children along to draw out ever minute at every attraction, we ended up spending a few hours here. The expansion in just a couple years, is wildly impressive. There a whole new area behind the pig races. Including 4 rides! (And for adults a cider silo) We thorough enjoyed our day here, so many free attractions, and with minimal lines. It's so nostalgic to see things from my childhood, as well as appreciate things as an adult. not to mention the staff could not have been more friendly. They gave me a birthday button, and it was such a special day. We will return with the kids but note it's a small fortune to attend on a weekend.
google avatar

Kristi S.

Yelp
It's more like an amusement park than a pumpkin patch. Lots to do and a lot of fun. Probably a multiple day adventure. Lots of yummy food and activities. But we warned you have to leave through the gift shop at the end so might want to make sure the kids don't spend too much time in there. Lol. But I can't help myself I get the apple cider donuts, kettle popcorn and apple butter everytime.

Yelp
We have been residents of Nebraska for 25 years and have heard about Valas over the years. In Nebraska, this is the "fun field trip" destination for school children. But my wife and I hadn't taken the trip to check it out. The key to influencing our itinerary was our granddaughter having a day off school and wanting to go. We went on November 1, the day after Halloween, and they are open one last week, and they begin discounts on admissions. There are many entertaining venues, like the train, the mine, and the bouncing pillows. My daughter in law is a rock hound and wanted "a bag of rocks" they sell for various amounts (more expensive gets better stones and fossils). She seemed happy with the treasures she found. You take the bag to a sluice and rinse them to reveal your rewards. There was a juggler that juggled flaming rods and a hoop. There was a feeding pen with some very fat rabbits. And a pony ride (that cost $8). It was interesting. We also ate lunch, which seemed pricey. 2 kid meals of hot dogs, fries and a small drink, 3 "adult" hot dog meals with fries. Had to pay extra for the adult drinks. And 3 tater tot meals (large, loaded tots for $12 each, no beverage). It was a special occasion and we took advantage of the discounted admissions so we bit the bullet. One of our group, who had a season pass and used it to make sure she was getting her money's worth, recommended buying a dozen apple cider donuts. When we reached the rack it was empty, but there were a few boxes near the checkout counter that you HAVE to pass to leave the park. So we brought them home. They are amazing. So I recommend anyone who hasn't been there to check it out. It is very family oriented. But look for discounts or get the season pass if you can make multiple trips. And save a few bucks for the food.

Martha J.

Yelp
too expensive, they may make their food there, but it's cheap food, no substance. very disappointing, not the only pumpkin patch to visit, many others.

Sabrina W.

Yelp
Not worth the money. Roca is better for multiple reasons. Too many extra costs on top of already high admission for run down attractions.
google avatar

Julia S.

Yelp
Where do I begin? The discounted season tickets offered before the season begins, the new additions each season and the amazing apple orchard as well as the pumpkin patch. There's so many things to do and it's all mapped out too! It couldn't be any easier than that. Places to play, eat, shop and be entertained. The staff is always friendly and helpful. People of all ages can enjoy. And there are places to come back to each year. Such a fun place for everyone!

Yelp
My family and I went this past Friday for the first time together. Surprisingly our 17-year-old and 12-year-old both had a really good time. I feel like most of the rides and activities are centered around elementary school kids, but clearly with an open mind said you can have fun, no matter what age. If you go closer to Halloween, you can visit a lot more of the food vendors because we visited a couple years ago in September and hardly anything was open. Get your wallets ready because of course just like any other fair everything's pricey but surprisingly the food servings were pretty large. Weekdays are cheaper than going on the weekends. I personally don't see us going numerous times but once a year it's it's a great family outing. Try the alcoholic ciders, but expect to guzzle them before going on rides. Don't make the mistake my husband did.
google avatar

Derek M.

Yelp
Great way to spend time with your family and friends, but get ready to spend a lot of money. I love their alcoholic ciders, but beware they are pricey. I wanted to try the Taco stand but went with what my boys wanted- fried chicken. Lots of food included in that 2 piece meal and all tasted great. The best thing was watching the boys shoot the apple cannons. They had a blast! I think my wife loved the rides the most. Lots to do for smaller kids, but our 12 and 17 year olds made the most of it and battled each other on all the games.

Yelp
I've been going here for years and I can't believe I've managed not to write a review yet! So here it goes...over the years, Vala's has continue to grow and grow into a super-pumpkin patch. It's a tradition every year in a few different circles (from my own family to several groups hosting outings here) and I look forward to it every year ... but year after year, it loses its appeal. It's expensive and tiring and might be better if I was only going with adults, but following kids around the place carrying bags and swiping your credit card is not very fulfilling. But ... there is literally everything to do here and that is why I gave it four stars. For all of our kids, my wife, and I, who all look forward to different things, we all can find something to do here. Whether it be haunted attractions (not very spooky, this is my 10 year old's favorite thing to do), eating turkey legs, caramel corn, or apple cide donuts (my favorite), walking the corn maze, playing games, buying candy, pumpkins, or other goods, shooting apples, riding a donkey or watching pig races, there is so much to do and too much for a single family to do in one visit. There's also campfire sites for groups or families to enjoy a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the area. And there are staff everywhere and they are generally helpful and friendly Of course, one thing that has to be mentioned is the price, and I've debated this with many others...it's VERY HIGH. It's higher than other attractions, higher than other pumpkin patches, and just plain expensive. It's almost as if they price it so high just to keep attendance down/manageable. Monday through Thursday, it's 21.99/person and it's $43.99 on weekends. Unlike most other places, there is no children's pricing. Two and under are free. Everybody else is full price, whether they are 3, 33, or 103. If you really love the place, the season pass is only $99.99/person which is a good deal. But for me, with how busy the place is combined with how much it costs beyond getting in the door. Again, it's great for families because everybody can find something. But if it were just a single child or a date night, it's probably more expensive than other options you have.

Yelp
If's always tough to rate experiences/attractions because oftentimes the single day pricing is "high" - in this case, I think an adult ticket is ~$35, comparable to the zoo. My son always loves coming here and trying everything their is to do, and similar to the zoo, don't go if you dont want to have people everywhere (especially on the weelend when it's packed). The food I tried is mediocre (except from the do uts which are great).

Yelp
We LOVED our day at Vala's! We decided that "pumpkin patch" does NOT do it justice. It's more like a fall themed amusement park! There is something for everyone at Vala's. Plenty of nooks & crannies to sit down and relax. Plenty of spaces to exert all the energy out of the kids (and adults). And lots of options to dazzle your tastebuds and fill your tummy (like the apple cider donuts and freshly made pretzels!) One of our favorite spots was the Egg Scramble - a huge barn like building filled with soft balls with loads of options to launch them at each other. Perfect for every age kid! And the CIDER!! Definitely get at least a half gallon to bring home. We loved the magic show, the pig races and the dog agility shows. (The dragon show could use a script update as most of the jokes went flying over the kids heads...) The EXQUISITE flower beds and garden bed designs were BEAUTIFUL and very numerous. The fall colors were just astounding!! We loved Vala's and can't wait to come back! TIP: go during the week for a discounted rate!!

Yelp
We have been going to Vala's Pumpkin Patch for years, and it's always a good time (even if you don't have kids), but could definitely use a little updating as it hasn't changed much over the years. The food is always pretty tasty, with turkey legs, funnel cake, cornbread, popcorn, and so much more to snack on! There are a lot of fun activities for little ones, like a not-too-scary haunted house, a corn maze, hayrack rides, pumpkin picking, and more. So it definitely caters more towards kids, but like I said, there are some cool adult things too, like fire pits, the more upscale-ish food, and some hard cider they sell (but no other alcohol can be consumed on the premises). There were also some pony rides available last time we went, but we did not want to subject the little ponies to our giant adult bodies. But we DID get to feed them, which was fun. They seem to be well taken care of (since they are on a farm) which made me happy. A few odd things that are still there/new: There is a sort of questionably off-brand Rick and Morty themed train ride, which was kind of weird (again mostly for kids, I think, but we definitely rode it). The storybook barn and garden, which is supposed to be for young kids, I assume, but gave me a little creepy feeling with the semi-weathered fairy tale standees and attractions. It also has become almost prohibitively expensive - $44 per person on the weekend, with only ages 2 and under allowed in free. So if you have several kids, and can only go on the weekends when the kids aren't in school, then expect to pay upwards of $100 just for entry. If you are able to go during the week (Mon-Thurs), then it's about half price. If you enjoy fun fall festivities, then this is an ok option to spend a day in the outdoors with a few activities and autumn foods/drinks. But with the high price of admission, I would say this is a "good-not-great" return on your investment.

Yelp
My son is disabled and has always loved Valas , but his mobility has gotten worse. I have spoken to severalmanagement people and nobody seems to care. I have always hoped that they would make it wheelchair accessible.

Yelp
Went here after hearing all about it from friends and coworkers and had a great time. My only complaint is it is very expensive, so I took 1 star off for that. However, we had a blast and it was truly a whole day activity with so many things to do. We thoroughly enjoyed the skee ball and other arcade game area, apple blasters, and corn maze. We also chose to pick apples. For food, we tried the cider slushie, apple cider donuts, blueberry donuts (the special of that week), and a pretzel. All were so so good, especially the blueberry donuts and pretzel. I do wish the apple cider donuts were warmer / more fresh but still delicious.

Yelp
We went has a final stop with a group of friends. we spent all weekend together with our friends and our children in Nebraska. we thought this would be the perfect final stop. The front gate ladies did not let our friends in due to a small dog. the lady proceeded to tell our friends that they would call the police and find and break the window of their car for neglect if they would leave their dog in the car. They did not even state the we're going to leave the dog. There's no signs on the property stating no pets. you have to go to the FAQ and SEARCH for the policy. I suggest applying signs throughout the property OR having one of you 6+ employees in the parking lot say something when they see people with a dog. That was absolutely ridiculous and disgusting of an employee to state those things to paying customers. Our family already paid but did work with the manager for a refund because we did not want to do this without our group. I don't recommend Karen, I believe that was actually the name of the employee. She was terrible, disrespectful and just rude to our friends. The lady who helped us and the manager, whose names I did not gather were kind and able to aid in getting us the refund. This was a terrible way to end a trip and I would never spend the $20+ for entry and whatever else outrageous prices they have.

Yelp
This was my first time at Vala's but I understand it is an Omaha staple because it has been around for so long. It has free parking and a huge parking lot. I went for a work event. There is so much to do here especially if you have kids. They have so much food. I appreciated the veggie burgers too because of my diet. We ate at one of the pavilions it was great because our party was so large. I also had their apple cider donuts and they kettle corn popcorn. They were both amazing. There was so much more but I tried not to go too crazy. We also walked around and people watched and checked out their train. It was a decent ride, l thought I was going to get to see more of the park and/ or learn more about Vala's but no it was literally a train ride. They did have some things set up along the track but not what I was expecting. When you leave the patch you only have one way to leave, through the company store. If you don't have will power, you will buy more treats which is a great marketing tactic. Would I go again, yes, but I will eat ahead of time so I'm not so tempted.

Yelp
A little early for pumpkins on the opening weekend (for season ticket holders) of the season. A LOT of things to see, yet, and didn't get to it all. The hard ciders are all pretty great. I was disappointed the new cider house and barrel cider barn weren't here open. Don't tease me with a pretzel charcuterie and don't let me get it! unfortunately because I was just visiting, I won't be making it back any time soon. I enjoyed the giant corn... pit? Surprisingly therapeutic. The train was hokey but a nice reprieve from walking. I would've liked it to stop at some places (because dang it's a hike to those far away places from the entrance). Apple cider donuts were yum. And I appreciate the worker at the cider house who sacrificed her last donut when she heard us talking about them.

Yelp
Only got to Valas once this year but it did not disappoint! All the nostalgic memories plus sooo much more added on in the last few years. I loved the cider mill! These are the first apple donuts I've tried and they were amazing! My group liked them more than other apple donuts they had tried. More of a cake texture, but not much of an apple flavor. Overall always a great experience. Definitely looking forward to next season!

Yelp
Seriously? This place is unreal. We have brought multiple members of our family from out of town and they're always shocked by the size and quality of this "pumpkin patch". To call this place a pumpkin patch is the understatement of the year. It has a cider mill, world class playground, petting zoo, carousel, kids train, campsites, and so so so much more. It's nearly impossible to see this place in just one visit. Tickets run about $24 during the week, and $40 on the weekends. It is well worth it, but the weekdays are even better with less people. My recommended route is the chicken barn, playground, carousel, cider mill, apple guns, kids train/kids area then exit. Enjoy!

Yelp
Soooo much to do! There's kid games, there's a lot of options for food, and there's beverages for the adults. You can go to spend hours here. The parking was seamless for us to get in, and you can tell they really have their stuff together and the lines go by quickly. Most all of the staff was friendly and helpful, though we didn't talk to them much. Tickets online were cheaper than walking up and purchasing there but overall I would go again for the experience because other than food it was all-inclusive. Of course the food is expensive so be prepared with a $100 or two when you go! Highly recommend and we plan to be back every year.

Yelp
We love eating and drinking our way through Vala's each year! As fans of the cider, we loved the addition of the Barrel Barn this year! Our top faves are the caramel apple cider slushie, salted caramel apple pie, BBQ place by the cider mill, and soft pretzel with cheese. We're heading back next year to try the pretzel charcuterie! The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that the admission price has really increased over the past several years and it ends up being pricey between admission + all the food, drinks, and activities to do.

Yelp
A super fun family outing! It is huge, so plan to be there all day. Tons of cute things for the kids to do and yummy harvest time treats! Staff are always helpful and pleasant.

Yelp
My family and I have been Vala's frequent fliers from almost the beginning. It has been so much fun to see the evolution and growth over the years. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the food and other treats just keep getting better and better. This season, I have noticed many repairs, updates and improvements throughout the venue. It's nice to see the changes in the "original" attractions!

Yelp
Ok, so this is a bit of a contrarian take vs most of the reviews I read. Mostly I'm just salty about how expensive the tickets and expenses inside the park are. I can go to the Henry Doorly zoo (one of the best Zoo's in the WORLD) for $29 an adult and get a discount for kids. Vala's is $44 a person over the age of 2 on the weekend. That's borderline robbery. They are extra proud of the admission value. A good chunk of the park is pretty run down. We went through a building where 1/3rd of the anamorphic displays were broken in some way and in need of repair. Then walked to an area with make shift instruments to play, most were missing parts and or completely inoperative. For the cost of a ticket this is unacceptable. Now to the good part, there is a lot of fun to be had at Vala's. My kids enjoyed the rides, the train, and the pedal carts. (Which is all included). The cider mill is massive and they have the most delicious giant pretzels and apple cider doughnuts. It is also a pretty area to just walk around. You could spend an entire day at the park and still miss a few things. I should add they are also Cashless now, so that makes it a challenge giving your kids money to go there with friends. You have to get gift cards at the door and hope you don't end up with extra money left at the end of your visit. Overall, it is worth visiting once every few years. I would recommend going during the week and not on a weekend. The admission is much cheaper and the park isn't as busy. We mix it up and go to the other pumpkin patch options in the area every year to keep it fresh.

Yelp
I understand that admission is expensive. But we always go between Monday and Thursday when tickets are half off and you can get them for an additional 15% off if you buy online. I mentioned that to a friend and she said anytime she's gone during the week half the stuff is closed. We didn't have that experience today, the only thing that was closed was the potato stand. Truly don't think I've ever had soup in a bread bowl before but this is the chili plus cheese and salted caramel apple pie from the pie barn at Vala's. We also got the soft pretzel, apple cider donuts with hot apple cider, and a cone of cookies. Everything was delicious and I'm pretty picky when it comes to... all of those things. You can also go and just run in for 30 minutes for strictly food without paying admission. On the way out we got their kettle corn and a couple of the hard ciders. The witches brew is delightful!

Yelp
Valas has it all! Perfect for all ages too. Even could make it an adult night at hit up some live music while grabbing a hard cider beverage from the Cider mill. Pricey and traffic can be a pain but overall there is nothing quite like this place in or near Omaha. They keep adding on every year too. The train is now included in your admission, which is nice.

Yelp
Think Disney (prices) Think Chuckee Cheese, bland food, bad animatronics, acoustics, with the added fun of dust, flies, John Deere Gators driving all over the place. Wonder how much it costs them to pay off both OSHA and the various heath dept,s?
