Great local resource. Heaps of local memorabilia and well presented. Lovely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Well worth a visit. Its a little off the beaten track, but only maybe 100m from the village. The classroom is a favourite for everyone. The information on tge transatlantic cable is also fascinating.

First place to visit. No cameras allowed inside. But what a wealth of history in one little house. So much to read about. Past Knight's from the Fitzgerald family. Dedication and commitment to have the transatlantic cable. And the use of a thimble...want to know more. Then please visit.

It was a joy to show my kids where I went to school. Loads of local history. Nita is like a walking talking history book, full of useful, interesting information and always with a story to back it up. Well worth a visit.

What a cute little place. Refurbished & great use of a building which was originally a school house for the islanders. PACKED with a font of knowledge about the 1st transatlantic telecommunication system & island life. Well Worth the hour to see it.

Very basic local museum. It would be good idea to have a documentary on about history of the island or something a bit more interactive.

This is a very regional centre. It's interesting to see the history of the first telegraphic cable to cross the Atlantic specially for those linked to telecommunications an IT. Apart it, it's not a big deal. When I went there, I looked from outside of the door and I was giving up of the place when an old men, smiled at me with a warm welcome and told me to get in and help myself with cakes, tea and coffee. He bought me at that moment, not because of the food, which seemed delicious, but with so kind and bright eyes.
