Many things just went right with this stay. It was a last minute booking, which they were extremely understanding and gave us a pretty late check in. The spot is beautiful where the B&B is located. The rooms are cozy and cute, it had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The morning breakfasts were amazing, it's a little buffet of local cheeses, breads, jams, juices and smoked trout. Highly recommend this place for anyone stopping in this area. It was also extremely quiet!

Had a lovely stay here with friends. The owners were very helpful with our last-minute booking. Also had a great dinner of monkfish stew and pizza. The breakfast was very fresh and generous! The views from our rooms were wonderful. Couldn't recommend it higher!

It was a comfortable accommodation to stay overnight near the Geiranger Fjord. There are parking opportunities in front of the building. The room was clean in nordic hygge style and there was even a coffee machine and water boiler for tea. The personnel is polite. There is a huge variety for breakfast especially local products are served. We have not tried but they also serve dinner. We would stay here again.

The rooms are bit older, which is not very strange. That’s simply because all three buildings of the property are a little ‘vintage’. That does give all it a very nice touch though. Beds are good though, no worries. The garden is an excellent place to chill, provided you have the weather to go with it, otherwise you can spend some time in the nicely decorated common room. The location is perfect. Of course we had to drive around the Trollstigen, which is closed until further notice, but that really only takes 1/2h extra. We still went to see it from the other side and the trip is certainly worth it! We also had dinner here. Not a very extensive menu, but a good meal at a reasonable price - you should not expect to get anything cheap in Norway… ;) Oh, btw - parking is free, definitely worth mentioning in this country.

Tasty dinner served with a smile! We tried lasagne, beef stew and pizza. All of them was rich in flavour and looked good. And not to forget dessert: a wonderful mousse made of greek youghurt with strawberry jam, made from local Bertines, on top. You’ll probably love it too! 😃

Valldal is a beautiful village perfectly located to use as a base for exploring the region, including famous sights such as Trollstigen and Geirangerfjord. The Fjord Lodge offers comfortable rooms in a relaxed environment. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner are of great taste and based on high quality local products. 10/10 would recommend!

The hotel, the lounge, the bedroom are very pleasant and confortable in a quiet environment with a nice view on the mountain. The bathroom is a bit tiny but correct overall. The garden is beautiful and relaxing. The breakfast is a real treat as it is composed of a large range of good quality and local products such as smoked salmon, cured meats, bread, jams and so on.... Just an observation for the restaurant at dinner time: I would not recommend it. Even if the taste was good, there was barely no fish and meat in the fish and meat stew. Dinner was therefore expensive regarding the quantity and the service was too fast. Concerning the location it was good as it is not so touristy. If you like travelling into the wild and in preserved nature you will enjoy the place such as the fjord nearby.

Stayed here for a night during a 2 week trip to Norway. It’s a nice place - not fancy (though it seems to try a little), and has all the basics (except TV - which was a welcome change). They seem to be pushing a French-vibe - the back courtyard/sitting area has a steady stream of French tunes blended with American jazz. The breakfast (included) was excellent.
