Excellent service that started before arrival. Easily coordinated pick-up from David airport and an early check-in, then helped with transport straight to a hike upon arrival. The restaurant consistently prepared good meals when we were not eating in downtown Boquete. Unfortunately had to cancel our trip to Bocas due to the protests, and Valle Escondido had no problem seamlessly accommodating us for another night. Our stay in Boquete would not have been the same if we had chosen to stay somewhere else — would recommended Valle Escondido 10 times out of 10 for those visiting Boquete and looking for a high-quality lodging experience.

This hotel has charm, the setting is nestled in the hills, surrounded by jungle and a lovely rolling stream adding a jungle like ambiance. The staff I have been extraordinary. Starting from my ride from the airport, to check in. They use WhatsApp for general communications and respond quickly. Transportation tune from the airport and the small town nearby. It's as if they'll accommodate your every wish whilst in Boquete' In a tropical country you want the air conditioning to work well no complaint. My room you are sufficient and my expectations according to the website. The nearby restaurant had excellent food. I wrote a review. Given the opportunity I would not hesitate to stay here again. The setting is extraordinary. It reminds me greatly of the South of Thailand.

We had an amazing stay. From the moment we arrived, the service was top notch. We were greeted with hot towels and fresh juice. Our bungalow was very clean and comfortable with a relaxing outside porch. Spa services were super relaxing. The restaurant had great food, fresh options. All the staff was super attentive and friendly. Heidi helped me plan our trip before we even arrived and was there to help into the very end of our stay. We felt like we had personalized service. I highly recommend this resort. Ask for Heidi, she will make your stay and entire vacation in Panama effortless.

I visited Valle Escondido for a yoga retreat, and everything about the resort enhanced the experience. The property is BEAUTIFUL and serene. My bungalow was clean and comfortable (and included a fridge and coffee pot). The pool was great. The staff were super friendly and helpful (even for all of us non-Spanish speakers). I had laundry done on site while I was there- it was done same day and super affordable. |I took advantage of the spa amenities- I did the 3 hour spa package that came with a body scrub, massage and facial, and it was amazing! I’m always nervous about getting facials because of my rosacea, but I told my therapist I have it, and she treated it only with cooling products. It was the perfect way to start my week.|The other total gem at this resort is the restaurant! I can’t say enough good things about how amazing and fresh the food was! Healthy options, vegetarian and vegan options. It totally exceeded my expectations. Even the breakfast buffet in the morning was delicious.|I would give Valle Escondido 6 stars if I could. And if you’re looking for a location to host a yoga retreat, the venue above the restaurant was perfect!

Our room should have been 5 star- bungalow on the river with hammock and patio seating which made for such relaxing afternoons listening to the rain! The only down side to the room was a termite swarm into the room that we cleaned up as it was late when we returned and found them. Housekeeping came the next am after I called to further clean up.|We found out a few days before that the pool was unavailable due to an event they were having( that I am assuming was booked long before)- we had access to the “ cold pool?!)- so we had massages( great) but couldn’t experience the rest of the spa experience due to this event( same price tho)|Food- we tried dinner and lunch and both were a huge fail. The food just was awful…. And any communication with the restaurant staff was a fail as well- they spoke and understood very little English so messed up our orders. Breakfast was included but marginal. We walked into Boquete for all our meals after that and found amazing restaurants there so just skipped the hotel. |I got a message from our “ personal butler/ concierge” prior to arrival BUT they were off when we arrived and we never heard from them again during our 5 day stay. Airport pickup was seamless. We played mini golf which the course a severely neglected. There were other hotels in the area that we would try if we returned.

The riverside hotel rooms are wonderful in terms of decor, size, exterior view, and location. However, $500 per night is overpriced in May, 2025. The other garden houses are cheaper at $350 per night, but they're also smaller, and the bed overlooks the wall with the TV. So, the view is limited. These rooms are dark. If you want to stay in a beautiful resort hotel, you will be well accommodated here.

We stayed at Valle Escondido for four nights during our visit to Boquete. The hotel is located on the grounds of a golf resort community within walking distance (10 minutes) of the center of Boquete. The hotel offers a paid shuttle service to David Airport which we used. The shuttle was a modern van/minibus which we shared with a group of other guests. The road from David to Boquete is very good and the drive is not long.||The setting of Valle Escondido is lovely, in a narrow valley surrounded by lush hills. The grounds are beautiful and well-manicured. There are many beautiful plants and flowers and it is a haven for birds. Our room was in the main building of the hotel. It was furnished simply but was large and had a lovely terrace opening onto a garden with a river running through it. The patio had a hammock and two chairs and a table.||Meals are served in another nearby building on the property. The restaurant building has two large side porches with flowers and the dining room itself has large windows on three sides-opening up to the beautiful surroundings. The menu is varied, very reasonably priced, and offers dishes that are fresh, healthy, and delicious. Many of the vegetables and herbs come from the resort’s own gardens.||Next to the restaurant building is the bar, which offers snacks and excellent cocktails.||The resort also has a large spa and a beautiful indoor swimming pool with a glass roof. ||We also used the hotel’s laundry service which was very efficient and inexpensive.||Valle Escondido is an excellent choice for a stay in Boquete!

This is a beautiful property. The grounds are spacious, lush and well-maintained. We stayed in a riverside bungalow with a covered terrace overlooking the water. The room had a very roomy closet (with a safe) to stash your luggage and store your belongings, separate from the bedroom and bathroom. There was also a wet bar with fridge. The mattress was comfortable and provided a quality sleep. This bungalow was no more than a 5-minute walk to the restaurant and the cantina. The entrees and meals we ate there were all so delicious that during our week-long stay, we only ate outside the resort once. The servers were all friendly and very efficient, and we enjoyed lingering in the outdoor dining room to enjoy the colorful flowers and foliage. The spa is a real treat and our couples massages were top notch. There is a sauna and impressive coved swimming pool. From the moment the resort driver picked us up at the David airport we felt pampered and relaxed. Haydee (unsure about the spelling), the concierge, was in the van with cold water and lots of valuable information. She assisted us several times during our stay and was always efficient, friendly and extremely pleasant. If you want to walk to town, it’s about a 10 minute stroll with just a small amount of traffic. Our only disappointment was the small variety of birds on the property. Bring a raincoat for the misty rains that pop up periodically. Overall, this is a lovely, charming place to stay and get away from it all. We thoroughly enjoyed this resort.
