Wow! A very cool experience! I won't tell you what you will be doing because I don't want to ruin the experience. However, be prepared for a bit of a hike. Wear comfortable footwear (I do suggest hiking shoes) bring a raincoat or slicker (just in case it's raining) No umbrellas allowed as it could ruin the overall experience. Go and check it out.

What a great experience! It was more than what we had expected! You get engaged into this mystical adventure the minute you get on the trails. The storyline about missing hikers, the lights and the trees are magical. The team of rangers were amazing making it such a fun night for our group. We highly recommend Vallea Lumina to anyone visiting Whistler.

An interesting experience. If you aren’t sure footed - this walk in the dark with the lights along the way may not be your thing. The sparkling lights at the creek close to the end were the highlight of course.

Sooooooo worth. Go on a clear night and you’ll be able to see the brightest stars. The stars are barely visible from Whistler village. We took our time walking around (wait ~15 for the crowd to pass) and were able to walk by ourselves for a significant portion of the trail. Arrived at 9:45pm and left on the second to last shuttle at 11:30ish, but most people will only take one hour.

Such a spectacular experience. We will opt for this than Disneyland 10 out of 10 times simply because: 1. The day pass give you try so many things and you can easily spend a day here. 2. No stress of lining up, using the app, fast pass and etc for premium price by items 3. It perfectly blended nature into the story telling and feels like magical 4. Staff are all super friendly, international and knowledgeable. Our guide name is Nat and our instructor for the AOC is Charlie! Both are simply lovely

This adventure is more than a walk in the trees, it’s otherworldly! BEAUTIFULLY designed and the storytelling is a masterpiece. I would see this every night if I could. Also, shoutout to Miya for being so great and taking photos for us!

The Vallea Lumina was awesome! Such a unique experience that you simply cannot miss! It is a little dark but all the lights instantly make up for it. That being said, if you are deathly afraid of the dark, maybe some of their day time activities is a better fit for you. On top of that it is a moderate hiking trail with a few ups and downs. Don’t worry you won’t get lost but if those aren’t a problem for you I highly recommend this magical experience!!

The experience is framed as a mystery/mission: some hikers go missing and you basically walk in the steps of park rangers as they search for the hikers on a mystical night. Things build as the story (walk) progresses, so the best light installations are towards the end. There were only two or three that really stood out. Depending on the pace you choose to go, this could take 45 minutes to well over an hour. Note that the trail you walk is moderately difficult, about a low-intermediate level. Notably, there are many steep steps early on. I wanted to mention that as a few older visitors were not aware of this going in and wished they had been. I want to end with the biggest detractor of the experience, which was the timing of the shuttles. Let me just say first that I am grateful a free shuttle service is offered. Note that you should reserve these in advance. However, the pickup times back to the village are at the top of the hour. Our experience started around 9:15, and we were stressed throughout about making it back in time for the return shuttle which we thought left at 10. We didn’t want to have to wait for another hour, even though there was a nice waiting area with a cafe and campfires. Because we were rushing, we had no idea what happened in the story. (To be honest, it would probably be confusing even if we had time. I seriously have no idea what we were supposed to gather from the "clues".) Also, even though our shuttle arrived early, we had to wait for a big group to be released at a time. It would have been nice if we could enter freely. I also wish the return shuttles ran more frequently, or perhaps at 10:30 instead of 10 for a 9:15 experience.
