Our family rented 2 units at Valley Isle, 808 and 1203. There were problems with both units, and our attempts to get assistance while still staying there were unsuccessful. I tried to contact them directly after our stay with our concerns, rather than to just give a bad review here, but that wasn't successful, either. Both units had issues, some of which were relatively an easy fix for the owners, but it seems there is little interest in taking care of the units. 808's biggest problem was the kitchen. We were told before our stay that the faucet was broken, but functional, and could not be replaced until the day the water was shut off to the entire condo building. When we got there, the faucet was indeed broken, but not functional in that there was no hot water. The dishwasher had a big out of order sign on it (still broken from at least 11 months ago per a prior review I saw) and when I told them we were having to boil water to do dishes, and that is unacceptable, we were told to use the dishwasher and run it as many times as needed to get the dishes clean. Not only is this a huge waste of water, but it never did clean any dishes. It's broken. |The living room furniture in 1203 is far past it's prime. There are tears at the seams of the back cushions, the cushions are all misshapen and lumpy. They are both awful to sit on. The throw pillows are lumpy messes, too.|Those were the big issues. Other things include non working lights, non working electrical outlets, door handles falling apart, stained carpets, burners on the stove not working. |The pros are the views are fantastic, and the location is walkable to many areas.|I honestly hope I am contacted about this. I saw on other reviews a response that listed a phone number to call, when I call that number I am told that is only for the condo unit owners, and there is nothing they can do to help. They eventually offered to transfer me to another line, but I was hung up on. |We've booked 3 times now thru Chasing Rainbows, but this was out 1st stay in this particular condo building. I can't speak the other units, of course, but in our 2 basic maintenance is lacking, especially given what they charge to rent the units.
