Final around pick for yellow peach. Sweet and juicy yellow peaches. I don’t know whether the white peach season is earlier than yellow peach. I saw some white peach but they are very small. Also I saw some unripe white peaches too. I think I should come over at least two weeks earlier next year.

Insta: dmv_reels Went apple picking. It was an ok experience. You purchase a bag first to pick apples. They should label trees which apples which because we were lost throughout the whole picking experience. The ones towards the pond was the sweeter ones. But scenery was really amazing. Also a pretty bad restroom.

I cannot speak on the orchard or apple picking but the owners are incredible compassionate people. I was on my motorcycle and they gave me a hand with an injured bird, I was unable to get it anywhere because I was on the bike and they were nice enough to take him to an animal rescue. They have a cute little store and beautiful orchards nestled away on a winding Virginia road. Very nice people!

Great place to come relax. Beautiful rolling hillside with the wonderful sounds of the countryside. Nice folks and wonderful arrays of cider and honey. They are just a few of the great flavors to enjoy and even take home.

We had a wonderful time picking blueberries and cherries today. We will definitely be back for peaches and apples!

We did the U-pick peaches. They had an area marked with yellow tape indicating where the ripest peaches were for that day. Peaches were delicious. Bathrooms are two port-o potties on the side of the barn that were sufficiently clean. Dog friendly throughout the property. Plenty of outdoor seating. There was nothing particularly "special" or that stood out about this particular farm, but it was fun and the prices were fair.

We visited Valley View Farm expecting to have a fun, family-friendly day, but our experience was far from enjoyable. The staff was extremely unprofessional, and their behavior was downright upsetting. We went to pick some peaches and enjoy them on the farm. However, when my kids tried to wash the peaches so they could eat them, a manager rudely approached us. Instead of offering assistance or even a friendly reminder of their policies, she scared my kids, took their plate, and harshly told us to leave. She even threatened to call the police if we didn’t comply. To make matters worse, if you pick anything from the ground, they force you to pay for an entire bag. This kind of treatment ruined what should have been a relaxing family outing. I strongly advise against visiting Valley View Farm. There are plenty of other farms that actually value their customers and treat them with respect.

Valley View Farms is our favorite fall tradition! Apple picking and picnics with an incredible view, what could be better? The staff is always friendly and helpful and their apples are delicious!

I had a great experience there yesterday. The nice lady working informed me that the cherries were in season but I should take a walk around to find out how many containers I wanted to buy. I asked if a quart would do and she recommended it. Great experience and will go there again once peaches are on season!

I love happy accidents. We never intended to make a stop at Valley View Farm. Our plan was to spend Sunday morning picking apples and digging up potatoes at Hollin Farms next door. But at the sight of a mile-long line of cars slowly inching up the hill to the entrance and no clue as to how long we would have to sit and wait, we decided to make a U-turn and head to the friendly-looking farm we had passed on the way. Turned out to be a great decision. Valley View Farm is a cidery, winery, orchard, and farm market wrapped in one and set against a beautiful backdrop of rolling green hills. So basically you can sip on cider and wine, pick your own apples, eat local cheeses, and check off your grocery list all in one place. Your visit will start at the red barn at the top of the hill that serves as both farm market and tasting room. This is where you'll buy your bag for apple picking, try the wine or cider, pick up some grass-fed beef from the freezer, and/or grab some apple butter (there are easily 15 varieties) or a $25 jar of CBD honey (yep, that's a thing). This is also where you will interact with the staff, an awesome bunch who managed to keep their cool and crack a genuine smile even when they were overwhelmed by the growing line inside the market. We purchased a $23 half bushel bag - the largest size available - and strolled down to the orchard, sipping on a light cider with just the right amount of tart. The apple trees were still plentiful even this late in the season and we managed to fill our bag with a nice array of red delicious, galas, and granny smiths (which were delicious, by the way). Afterwards, we strolled back to the grass, laid out a blanket, and had a lovely picnic lunch marveling at those rolling green hills and our two-year-old doing an unintended impression of Julie Andrews singing "The Hills are Alive". It couldn't have been a more perfect day. A few more helpful things to know: - Masks are required for staff and patrons inside the farm market. - The orchard offers plenty of space for social distancing. - If you prefer not to lay on the grass, covered tables are available on the porch and to the side of the farm market. - The bathrooms are two porta potties located to the right of the farm market (there aren't any inside) so...bring hand sanitizer if you just can't hold it. We loved our visit and are already plotting the next one for pear picking!

biggest ripoff! went to pick cherries and paid for the containers only to find that there were hardly any to pick, this on the (supposed) first day for picking. No refunds given, absolutley no refunds - even if they don't have the produce you just paid for. Ended up with a bottle of mead, with my calculation, the mead cost me $120. for 1 bottle. one star is too much!

Apples on apples on apples! I came with my toddlers so we couldn't partake in a full tasting. But, I was able to grab a glass of Apple Cider Sangria while my twins ate delicious apples, drank apple juice, and ate apple cheesecake. All of which were fantastic! The tasting room is rustic and beautiful with a bar set up for people to enjoy tastings. If you want to enjoy the views there are picnic tables outside and some bar height wine barrels/chairs. My toddlers are craaaaazy! They loved running up and down the hill, playing on the tractor, and running through the corn maze. We all truly, enjoyed the trip out to this farm.

I've visited Valley View twice so far and enjoyed both visits. They are owned by Philip Carter Winery (which isn't too far from here) and for now serves as basically an extended tasting room for PC wines and Wild Hare ciders. But give it time and Valley View will evolve an identity of its own. They have 10 acres of grapes planted; for now their wines are a mixture of their grapes and Philip Carter grapes. The location is great. Their hills are a perfect place for a vineyard, and the view from the tasting room is spectacular. They also put a lot of emphasis on the 'farm' part of the name; they have fruits and eggs, and I have to wonder if some day they will have beef as well (the cow pasture is literally behind the tasting room). They also have a full orchard and pick your own blueberries and cherries, plus local jams. Nora was my server, and she was AWESOME. She gave us a quick overview of the winery while serving my party and another one at the same time. While this is a winery first, the long term plans are to make this a cidery as well. But lacking any house ciders, they do tastings for Wild Hare and I think sell Bold Rock ciders by the bottle as well. Tasting options include cider and/or wine flights. They only have 2 x "Valley View" wines (one white one red) and the rest of Philip Carter wines. But I like PC, so that's not a bad thing. But of their own wines, I liked the red blend, which I thought was very light and easy drinking.

We went here with the kids and they enjoyed the Halloween ambience the farm offered. The apple picking was fun for them because the trees were small so they could easily access the apples. They also liked jumping on the bales of hay. Beware, there are a lot of fox holes in the ground in the orchard so you need to watch your footing.

Great little store. Staff is awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. Pet friendly! Pet in a leash is allowed everywhere. Pet potty areas are clearly marked. Trying the cider today. Had the great eggs a few weeks ago. Thalia, we appreciate all the time you gave us.

13 beverage full tasting for $16 which includes the glass. What a steal. 10/10 would recommend. Love this place, love the blueberries, love the staff, would come back all the time.

Total waste of time. I specifically called to ask about picking apples in the orchard and the woman said we have Fuji and Gala to pick. So we drove 45 minutes to get there only to have a young man tell us the orchard was pretty much picked clean. We walked the entire orchard and found zero apples. Plus they told us they don't label their trees so we wouldn't even know what we were picking. They just want to lure you in to buy their other items and wine. Completely frustrated, can't recommend this place.

Super cute winery with delicious hard cider! They have a really sweet and very reasonably priced hay ride to their barnyard to pet the baby animals. It also has a gorgeous view, and there's nothing better than having a refreshing glass of hard cider while overlooking the Shenandoah Valley. Would definitely go again!

Checked this place out with friends over the weekend. Giving 2 stars as the staff seemed friendly and seemed like the orchards could be fun, but we didn't personally go picking fruit. The wine/cider tasting aspect though...yikes. Needs improvement. For starters, all tastings are done with the small plastic cups you get at the dentist. Not the proper way to explore the bouquet of a wine. The wines themselves were just okay. I've never been the Philip Carter (which is what 4 out of their 6 wines are), but this tasting doesn't make me think their wines are that good. There are 4 ciders offered, but we only got to taste 3 (apparently they ran out with the group before us). Nothing to write home about in regards to the ciders, but they weren't bad either. Overall, not the atmosphere of a place I want to spend a few hours sipping on a glass (or rather, plastic cup) of wine or cider. It has a lot of potential though once they work out some of the kinks.

I strongly encourage you to call before visiting to ensure an event is occurring as advertised. It's pretty and the staff is friendly but the hay rides and food truck advertised as part of a weekend blossom festival did not materialize.

Had a wonderful day at the farm this past weekend! Went apple picking, had some fabulous wine and cider. The staff was so nice and very knowledgeable. Hung out with Cider, one of the farm cats!! The views are amazing...highly recommend!!

Awsome place, crystel my server was great made my day. Perfect for a solo or group outting.
