We stayed in the two bedroom cabin overlooking the beautiful valley. The room was very clean and had a lot of comfort items to make you feel at home. It was freshly remodeled, very zen like, complete with a yoga mat and foam roller!!! The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the bedding crisp and fresh. We picked some tasty strawberries and veggies from the great community garden!! The owners are super lovely, helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. My friend mentioned it was my birthday and we came back from dinner to discover a fresh bouquet of flowers in the room, chocolate, balloons and Happy Birthday sign on the door🥳. What hotel does that??? So incredibly sweet🫶🏻. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Creston.

We were met by the owner who carried our luggage and bicyles to our cabin. The cabin was beautifully renovated with tasteful decorations, yoga mats, a lovely bathroom, and french press coffee in the room. Outside everything was clean and well looked after. There were 2 hammock swings, a nice barbeque area, and a vegetable garden where we picked fresh strawberries. Absolutely delightful place that I highly recommend. Of all the places on our week long trip, this is the place I would definitely go back to. So, so nice.

A great place to stay and relax and enjoy the view. It consists of a number of cottages, each with a couple of rooms. Our room had a small outdoor deck with a great view across the valley. We enjoyed the grounds and checked out the vegetable and herb garden.||We had a two bedroom unit and both rooms were well appointed. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The living area featured a kitchenette, couch and table with two benches. Everything was modern cabin style and in very good condition.||The owners were very friendly and welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They're obviously working hard to make sure all their guests have a good experience.

This was a treasure on our trip along Crowsnest highway. I wish I could have stayed longer. The room was so comfortable and the location felt like we were in the woods. The service was excellent. We got a call in the afternoon to let us know that the room was ready and inform us the code to enter in case we arrived while they were running an errand. The room was clean and comfortable, the grounds well kept and quiet. Enjoyed our coffee on our porch before we left for the remainder of our trip.

We have stayed a few times now in different cabins and always an amazing experience. Owners Jill and Steve are adorable, friendly, outgoing and have done so much wonderful updates to the entire facility. The cabins are cozy, comfortable and so welcoming. The outdoors is also welcoming and beautifully kept. They are always offering fruit and vegetables to take from their garden . The outdoor kitchen/ bbq area is an added bonus. Looking forward to our next stay. 🫶🏼🏠

I was able to check in early, and the hosts were amazing making me feel very welcome! Lots of great tips about coffee shops, restaurants, and nature walks. Loved sitting outside on the covered deck, and the view of the valley was lovely!

Valley View Motel was such a pleasant surprise! It's far from the typical motel experience; it feels more like a charming cabin resort. The location is perfect—just far enough from town to feel like you're in your own little world, but close enough to easily access all the amenities you need. From the moment you arrive, the friendly hosts and staff make you feel right at home. The rooms are clean, cozy, and have this wonderful rustic decor that fits the vibe perfectly. It's the ideal blend of cozy, casual, and boutique resort, but without the steep prices. This place is super family-friendly and even pet-friendly, which is a huge plus. There's a great common BBQ area that's perfect for gathering and cooking up a feast. Plus, there's a beanbag toss and shelves stocked with games for all ages—plenty to keep everyone entertained. Valley View Motel is the perfect retreat if you're looking to unwind and disconnect while still being close to town. It’s so great that I've already booked my trip for next year. If you're after a charming, affordable getaway, this is definitely the spot!

Me and my husband stayed here for a night during our motorcycle trip and it was glorious. Jill and Steven the owners are so friendly and you can tell everything about this place was intentional and thoughtful for the guests. Best hotel bed I have ever slept in. It’s quiet and cute and was our favourite place all through the Kootenay’s.

Yelp
Our family has used these facilities twice now. This time we had 29 family members, kid friendly lots of room for all of us. The owners are very friendly. Great place to stay.

Yelp
After a disappointing stay in Washington state, this place was a refreshing discovery. The owner, Al was friendly to us (2 adults p+ 2 kids( and our dog. The suite that we stayed in, # 22, was clean, and filled with all the amenities. We would strongly recommend this place to anyone staying long term in Preston, or just passing through as we were.

Yelp
We stayed here on July 4th. We were coming back to Calgary from Christina lake and decided on a last minute overnight stop in Creston to break up the drive a bit. My husband, my 6 year old daughter, myself and our Jack Russel terrier (They were happy to accomodate the small dog). The price was reasonable, and we were given a large room with 2 queen beds. The second bed had a curtain that you could use to close it off for some added privacy, which was perfect as my daughter could go to sleep early and we could watch some TV. The room was clean and had a large storage shelf for luggage and backpacks. The lady at the check in was very helpful. She gave us directions over the phone when we were on the way, wished us a safe drive there, and was quick to check us in. The location was nice, down a hill a little bit into a more private area with trees and a public area that was well maintained with benches and grass. You can tell that the owners take pride in trying to accommodate for people and maintain a clean and comfortable place for people to stay. If we pass through Creston again, I will happily stay here.

Yelp
This place is a complete dive! The people who stay here must be homeless and have no other alternatives. We stayed in the 'updated' cabin which still looks like it was in the 50s. There is absolutely NO sound proofing between cabins. We could clearly hear what our neighbours were saying all day and night. When a motorcycle pulled in, it sounded like it was going to go right through our walls! The bathroom is so small you can't move in it. There was no shower pressure and the temperature switched from scalding hot to freezing cold at any time. The bed was AWFUL! It was so lumpy and saggy that we couldn't sleep all night. It also felt like there was a spring in my back after a few hours! The futon is so old that you feel like you are sitting on the iron frame. I don't know how anybody could sleep on it as it was impossible to sit on. The window was open when we arrived so there were dozens of flies in the cabin. Our neighbour was smoking outside on his balcony so his smoke went into our room. We had to close the window so that we didn't choke on the smoke. The property is listed as non smoking but everybody smokes on their balconies so it is impossible to sit outside and try to enjoy the fresh air. Our 'view' was of the trees outside and we did not see the valley at all. We left after one night. There was no point staying more than one night due to the horrible conditions. I don't know how the health department doesn't close this dump down! You are instructed to clean your dishes before you leave or you will be charged $20. The glasses we used were dirty so we had to wash them twice just to have water. The Wi-Fi did not work even though I tried multiple times. NEVER AGAIN!
