Valluga Hotel, Sankt Anton am Arlberg, Austria - Explore & Book

"Oh good, you’ve arrived in time for Almatrieb," said the ruddy-cheeked man in the village bar, sitting comfortably in his well-worn lederhosen. Seeing the quizzical look on our faces, he quickly clarified: "In Tyrol, our cows live high on the mountain in the summer, and for that, they give us the best milk. When the season changes, we bring them down the mountain, and the village comes to watch as they’re herded through town. We celebrate and drink beer, and the cow who has given the most milk has a big crown. The Queen Cow." This is exactly the kind of place Sankt Anton am Arlberg is. Although the village has seen a growth in posh ski tourism in the last 30 years, it has clearly not forgotten its charming Austrian roots. Perhaps it was this authenticity that drew legendary Swedish hoteliers Mikael and Johanna Landstrom to open their 3rd hotel here, amongst the snow-capped peaks and fresh mountain air. Or perhaps they just saw a golden opportunity. Either way, Valluga has found its niche perfectly, offering what no other hotel in Sankt Anton does: modern styling, excellent value and a groovy international vibe. This one definitely gets the Almatrieb crown. Highs Exactly what you want from a ski hotel - cosy, warm and scenic, in a charming Alpine village. Plus you can walk to the liftsSankt Anton am Arlberg is renowned for its excellent skiing conditions. There are 305km of pistes in the resort, and world-class après ski entertainmentJust 26 stylish, top-quality rooms, with Nespresso machines, Marshall speakers, Dux beds and free minibarsLike sister hotels Esplendido and Portixol in Mallorca, Valluga’s ever-smiling multilingual staff are second to noneGood value for the region, especially in the summer season when you can hike, bike and river raft hereClassy spa with a heated pool, imaginative treatments, a relaxation room with water beds, and 4 types of sauna Lows A minimum 5-night stay and a strict cancellation policyThe restaurant is only open in the winter season, and we've heard the food gets a little repetitive; breakfast is fabulous though!Getting picky: no thermostats in the bedrooms, and ours was a bit too toasty" - Emily Hirschberg

Great place for relaxing and staying in summer with kids and also friends or romantic scape. Superb attention, food and breakfast. Sauna and swimming pool are also great options after hiking or skiing. We went in summer with kids and a baby, the hotel has many living rooms to enjoy. The Massage was great for my wife. We will comeback!!

A nice, peaceful hotel, located 5-10 minutes far from the center. Rooms are perfect, very clean, nice, equipped. Reception and lobby a beat narrow. Skiers benefit from the minibus transfer to the ski lift. Breakfast is perfect, served with grace and elegance. Thanks to all staff!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Valluga in St Anton. The rooms and amenities were thoughtfully done. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful throughout the stay. The Valluga is a wonderful example of Tyrolean hospitality.

I would not hesitate to recommend the Valluga . We were very impressed with both the service and the quality of the hotel itself. We have just spent five nights there this September . Our room was spacious, stylish and very comfortable. All the furniture and decor is stylish and of very good quality. The hotel has a nice blend of a more modern “vibe” and the traditional tyrol hotel architecture . The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful . Particularly Ignacio who looked after us at breakfast each morning, and Tony who is in charge of it all . The food is excellent. In the basement there is a fairly big swimming pool (by hotel standards anyway) , plus a gym and various saunas. There were as a complimentary bottle of wine awaiting us, and the mini bar was free and restocked daily. One final touch which impressed me was the quality Bluetooth speaker in our room , in the style of a classic 1970s Marshall guitar amplifier . The price was very good as well.

We stayed in Valluga this summer as a bit of an unexpected surprise. We stayed in the family suite and we loved it. The room was amazing, nice swimming pool and great breakfast. But most important; the staff was so friendly and nice. Our whole family had lovely time and would be great to come back in winter! ⛰️🇦🇹🙏🏻

I wanted to thank and congratulate all the workers of the Valluga hotel in St Anton. I think I've been to the best hotel to go skiing. The best possible facilities. An impressive breakfast and dinner. A hotel that from the first moment makes you feel at home and that I will definitely come back again||St Anton, an example of ski tradition but which has adapted to new times, is a wonderful, fairy-tale town with impressive and truly unbeatable ski slopes that begin in the same town.

This is a lovely hotel of a very high standard. The spa is excellent. The rooms are elegant and all the staff are very friendly. We very much appreciated the ski lift and station transfers which saves a lot of hassle at the beginning and end of the day. Will visit again
