ValMer Resort

We had a very enjoyable stay at Valmer during our second half of our stay on the Seychelles. An absolute Highlight is the friendly and attentive staff and the very tasty food. The hotel itself is nicely located with a perfect view of the baie lazare. The beach is a few minutes away and was not crowded at all. You find supermarkets and a really nice take away only 2 minutes away. The pool / breakfast & dining area is exceptionally beautiful. Everything is well maintained. There is nothing to complain. We would visit again.

This was our first trip to the Seychelles, and this hotel made it wonderful. The breakfast buffet was delicious — mostly the same every day (baked beans in tomato sauce, hash browns, ham, cheese, camembert, Nutella, yogurt, various jams, pastries, bread, grilled tomatoes, sausages, bacon, boiled eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, as well as vegetables and fruits). In my opinion, the selection is great, and most importantly — everything tastes amazing 🤤 As for dinner, we didn’t make it to a themed one but tried the à la carte restaurant — the food was also great. I honestly don’t understand the complaints about prices; the island is expensive in general, and in ANY restaurant, dinner for two will cost around 1000 SRS. We also tried the cocktails — both local rum–based and classic ones — sampled four kinds, and all were excellent! We also visited the spa — everything was wonderful. We booked a couple’s massage, and the therapists were kind, gentle, and professional. The session included a complimentary 30-minute jacuzzi experience, which was set in a beautiful location and made for a truly relaxing and enjoyable time. The beach is about a 5-minute walk away. Yes, the way back uphill isn’t easy, but at least it’s some physical activity 😃 If you’re lucky, you can catch an electric cart to take you back up comfortably. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Cleaning was done daily and always very well. We used the kitchen once — it has the basic essentials: a pot, frying pan, kettle, glasses, cups, plates (no deep plate), cutlery, a cutting board, and a grater. The staff is friendly and clearly does their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Always ready to help and go the extra mile.

We stayed at ValMer for one night towards the end of our trip. The property is beautiful with a good view overlooking the sea. The rooms are big and spacious and you get good view from balcony. The staff at restaurant were helpful and pleasant to talk to. It is a bit expensive compared to other stays we had at Mahe and Praslin but overall good experience.

Great hotel, spacious room, amazing view and ample buffet selection for breakfast and dinner. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. The hotel is on the south west side of the island, a bit far from Victoria, but in walking distance to Baie Lazare, one of the best beaches in Mahe with outstanding sunsets.

We loved it, my wife absolutely enjoyed the spa, we got one of those rooms with a terrace and a balcony, it felt secluded, in the jungle with some sea views, somewhat obscured by the palm. The beach is 5 mins walk and it is quite nice. Breakfast is good. It was our honeymoon and we were pleased that the staff did some nice touches to our room. It is a steep hill, so we used waved down the golf buggy a couple of times and have the chap a small tip. It is manageable by foot as well.l, of course, just being lazy.

Nice hotel far from the busy Victoria. But that is what we enjoyed. Beautiful beach at walking distance. Good breakfast buffet. But you need a car to move. So, we rented a car for 3 days.

This is the best hotel for a vacation in Seychelles, and when you arrive, you will immediately feel the tropical atmosphere! And if you book a room with a ocean view, your vacation will be unforgettable. I highly recommend it!

This resort is fabulous. Beautiful views of the ocean, delicious food, kind staff, comfortable rooms, happy guests, and convenience for getting around Mahe Island make Valmer one of the best resorts around Seychelles.
