ValMer Resort

The hotel’s location is beautiful, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The service here is absolutely terrible — from the spa to the restaurant staff, the attitude is cold, rude, and unwelcoming. It genuinely feels like I’m not in a resort, but in a military camp. I’ve never had an experience like this before — I actually find myself counting the days until I can leave. If I hadn’t already paid for the full stay, I would have changed hotels immediately. It’s incredibly disappointing, especially when all I wanted was to relax and enjoy my vacation. Sadly, this stay has been anything but relaxing.

We had the most beautiful experience dining at Valmer Resort to celebrate my partner’s birthday — and even as outside guests, the team truly made it unforgettable. It was a same day reservation pretty last minute as everything was sold out. With just five minutes to plan and no prior arrangements, as we arrived , the chef and staff pulled off a surprise birthday dessert complete with a personalized message, and it was perfect. I couldn’t leave my partners side to prepare anything ahead of time, but they understood the assignment and delivered it with such warmth and grace. The atmosphere was peaceful and romantic, right by the pool — a magical setting for the occasion. The staff were kind, professional, and genuinely committed to making the evening special. I’m so pleased with how everything turned out and so grateful for their effort and flexibility. Highly recommend Valmer Resort for anyone looking for a refined dining experience, whether staying at the resort or just visiting for dinner. Thank you for helping me create a beautiful memory! Kindest staff ever ! Kyzan and his team are incredibly attentive to client's needs and preferences. The food (especially breakfast) was super tasty and big up to the guy making omelettes, they were the best of my trip ! The hotel itself is beautiful, nested in the forest but at the same time very close to the beach (not even 200 meters by foot). The view from the pool over the forest + the beach is astonishing ; you can see birds in the trees while having your breakfast or from your room. It's also very conveniently close to a petrol station, beautiful beaches (Anse Soleil, Anse Intendance, Anse Parnell...), a small supermarket and a takeaway both reachable by foot. The room was super clean, lots of light and well equipped. I stayed in a deluxe villa with a sea view and I loved having coffee on the balcony. I got a massage at the spa, and thumbs up to Pianni and Maya for their kindness and professionalism. I already told Pianni but this was the best massage I've had in my life, first time somebody does an extra firm massage to me ! All my future massages will seem bland after that. The jacuzzi of the spa is inside the forest, so you're surrounded by lush forest and big ferns, listening to birds and the wind while you relax. Loved the outdoor shower as well ! Can't recommend enough to stay there !

The pool is perfect for relaxing, and the view from the hill is stunning. The buffet dinner was tasty and varied, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The fridge was a bit small and didn’t cool properly. Overall, a lovely place to stay.

We enjoy the stay. The place is located in tranquility of Baize Laizare area. The hotel offered good size room with bathroom and large terrace. Staff was very helpful, breakfast delicious, nights very peaceful, bed comfortable. On few occasions we hired taxi to take us to aces, however there are busses available no 5,6,11 which can take you around Island including Takamaka Destilery, Airport, Victoria, Botanical Gardens. We higy recommend the place especially for its tranquil location. Thank you!

I visited this hotel for business. One word sums up my experience, Pathetic!||On the second night, I came back at 10pm and I had left the key at the reception, it was closed and everyone had gone to sleep, same thing happened on the third night, only that this night it was about 11pm and everyone was fast asleep, nobody in sight including security, kitchen was closed. (You can die of hunger in this hotel, I took black tea for dinner that night, no one was available to cook, apparently it is the norm in the hotel) Which "luxury" hotel shuts down at night to resume business in the morning? This is the first one. I had to walk to the staff quarters to wake up someone to get the key, which took another half an hour. This hotel fails in every sector, customer service, food, nothing seems to work here. There is no value for money, pathetic overpriced buffet meals with limited options. Being a hotelier myself, I had the worst experience with this hotel. I highly recommend that you keep off this hotel!!

Really beautiful resort. The rooms up, next to the pool are beautiful with amazing panorama. The pool is amazing, the breakfast and dinner are really good and tasty and great value for money. The spa ideas magical. The massage was really good and the view from there, and n the jacuzzi is beautiful. The only one negative thing to say is the room we got next to the entrance, it was very simple in all the facilities and didn’t take part of the amazing experience we had in the other rooms or parts of the hotel.

It was clean, relaxing, up to 4-5 star hotel. When sll the sheets are sparkling in a dark:). Service is more than 4+ star. It was an amazing vacation there. Breakfast and dinner were more than ok for the island. Restaurant is on to of the hill with a great view to the sea. Staff is helpful. Close to bus stop - you can explore the island from the place easily, many beautiful beaches close by. Strongly recommend to visit
