Stayed here before and it's a nice hotel. However, service at the bar is chaotic and slow and service in the restaurant (on the first night) was so slow. We ordered food at 7:45 and got served up about 9:45, so late in fact that they never even offered us desert menus. Second night was much better due almost entirely to one particular staff member.

I had a very disturbing experience during my stay. In the middle of the night, I was woken up by noises outside my door and the sound of the door repeatedly beeping, as if someone was trying to enter. I assumed it was just a mistake — perhaps someone had the wrong room — so I removed my key card and tried to go back to sleep. However, shortly after, the door actually opened and a family walked in, clearly believing the room was theirs. This was a major breach of privacy and safety. It seems there was a serious error in how room keys were issued or managed. I expect a hotel to ensure that once a guest is checked into a room, no one else should have access to it. This experience left me feeling unsafe and extremely uncomfortable. And all I got as a compensation is a breakfast. Unbelievable.

Toilet is on the other side of the room to the bathroom, so had to go all the way back through the room to wash my hands after using the toilet. The air con was not adjustable and it was so hot in the room! I had to sleep with the window open so the cool 9 degree air could cool me down. Brekky was nice and staff nice. Checkout took a long time for our group as it was a new system apparently. Location Ok, next to the chocolate museum and a small supermarket, but feel quite out of town.

Cleand, modern, extravagant, very special furniture and lovely decoration with a lot of charm, you immediatly feel like a special guest. Central and direct parking place. I couldn't use the pool, but temperature was like this :) I'll definitely want to come back.

I'll start with the check in - upon arrival I asked if I could extend my stay by 1 night as my return flight had been rearranged. I was told no. I went online and found there were still plenty of rooms available and just booked it this way, not a great start. Next the room - the room was nice, large bath and shower plenty of sockets. No cups or glasses in the room so I couldn't have anything to drink. Not a nice view from the window but I'm not here for sightseeing. Finally an evening meal - I went downstairs to the bar/restaurant and was met with a very loud group, clearly having a great time but making sure everybody else was aware of it. I sat at the bar for 10mins and was ignored by the bar staff. I was approached by a waiter and said I would like a drink and a menu to look at; he just walked away without saying anything and didn't come back. I waited another 5mins and tried to get the bar staffs attention but ended up just walking out. All in all not very good.

Nice Hotel, but the staff needs an upgrade. They are barely speaking english and at the restaurant you should plan a lot of time.

I travelled for business with a colleague. Check in was fine, and receptionist seemed friendly and helpful. We were in rooms 324 and 326. We arrived at about 9-10pm. Room 324 was ok, but room 326 - all I can say is wow. Yes there was a note on the door saying mind the step. But corridors are badly lit and badly in need of a good vacuum. Receptionist should have told us there were four to five open wooden steps directly down into the room. My colleague fell down the stairs, and when I heard the commotion, I went to see if she was ok. Luckily she was, but when she pointed it out to the receptionist the next morning, receptionist smirked. When asked if she found it funny, she corrected herself and apologised. Really not good enough!!! Someone could do a serious injury on a big drop like that into a room.|Rooms are okay at best. Dark, not enough lighting and ridiculously laid out. Heating overnight got too hot, and bed is on a mezzanine with wooden open twisty stairs - highly dangerous as bathroom is downstairs. Also heating controls were downstairs too.|We were working in their Manchester room. At lunch time, we went to order some food at the bar to take back to the room with us. All I can say is the barman who served me obviously had better things to do and resented my approach. Do you have soup? Yeah. Ehm, well what kind? Mushroom. Ok can I order two and have it sent to room? Most unhelpful and unfriendly. I was nearly going to apologise for having the audacity to dare put him out! I paid €12 for a bowl of soup. My colleague asked for bread too. When delivered to the room, the server had a go at me saying that he had a table reserved for seven people. I had no idea what he was talking about! But he was quite aggressive about it. Needless to say no bread came and there was about six spoonfuls of soup per bowl!||I feel some of the staff resent customers - I certainly felt uncomfortable asking for anything and was glad to leave. On the other hand, some of the staff were lovely. |I will refuse to stay there again for my next trip to Verviers.

Stale ingredients, poor food and unpleasantly disrespectful personnel in the restaurant. We were served by Nazli
