Had the all-you-can-eat brunch for €20 and loved it. Great mix of healthy options like salads and fruit, along with indulgent treats like pancakes, eggs and bacon, and mozzarella sticks. Perfect way to spend a weekend morning. Plus, dining with a view makes it even better! Reservations recommended. The inside seating was quite stained and old but otherwise great!

The Van Loon is alone a beautiful boat in a lake with swans swimming around, made a restaurant with 2 fireplaces imagine how special it is to go there? We love it, the Brunch is amazing, and the special occasions too (we booked Valentine and was impressive!) great food, great personal, definitely a place to lounge with beloved ones and enjoy delicious food.

This was such a special and beautiful tour. The staff was so genuinely friendly, caring and thoughtful!!!!! They seemed to all enjoy their job which makes it a great atmosphere. Thank YOU! The Food was delicious. I could have had more. I cannot recommend this special Evening Tour highly enough. Super nice guests on board too. Hopefully we will be back soon with some more friends.

Awesome place in summer. Beautiful view as well as chill atmosphere. I always spend at least one afternoon at van Loon when I‘m in Berlin. Usually I have a few beers and watch the swans and paddlers. Sometimes I also get a snack but never tried the real menu. Prices are very ok for the location.

Fantastic place for lunch of dinner, the food was good and the service is fantastic. We were there for lunch gets bit hot on the roof but has a plenty of seats indoors.

Highly recommended! I was surprised by the variety and quality of food, was delicious and very satisfying. Drinks are not included in brunch price, but that’s ok. The price - 21.50€ per person is very fair. The atmosphere with the fireplace is very cosy 😄

Chill area, beautiful lake, great food and friendly staff.

The restaurant, inside the boat is really nice and has a nautical theme. The staff is nice and professional. We had the Hafenburger and the Steak. The fries were awesome, my friend liked the Burger, my steak was ordered medium, but I got it well done. I was a bit disappointed about the steak but the herb butter and seasoning was really great. For dessert we had the waffles with hot cherry’s and vanilla sauce. This were amazing the smell alone is so delicious. If you visit there, I would recommend the waffles.

I was a little worried this restaurant on a boat would be kitschy and touristy but I made a reservation anyway after seeing reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty everything from the drinks to the desserts was. I am on an unofficial quest for the best tiramisu and was impressed by the one served here. Not too sweet and very creamy. Sehr lecker! Our youngest especially appreciated the mock tail list. We found the service here attentive (by German standards) and look forward to a return visit. By the way, they also have a little Cafe for drinks & snacks that also looks great.

Place of ship is actually called Van Loon,so it took me lil bit to find it here to write review. Great place for sunny Sunday.I was pleasantly surprised about good quality of food and low prices( 3.10 euros for draft beer and 7.50 for delicious fish and chips,great chilli mango mint sauce).Dog friendly place.The ship was really lovely.

Visited this unique restaurant, moored in a Berlin canal, with a larger group booking. The buffet food was pretty awful. While this is supposed to be a "seafood" restaurant, we were served other items that were only warm and not particularly appetizing. There was a shortage of serving spoons and other cutlery that made it difficult to even fill your plate. I had a piece of some kind of marinated fish. I ate it only partially as it seemed "off" to me. A few hours later I was proven to be right - struck with a powerful case of food poisoning that left me sleepless and weak the next day. There is no question that this restaurant was responsible - others in our group reported illness as well.

Amazing. My first meal in Berlin. Recommended by a local. It was a beautiful morning. I ordered a traditional German breakfast and it was great. A perfectly cooked egg and wonderful cheese plate. Brought me right back to my childhood memories of a perfect German breakfast. Service was great!!!

Don't count on the people who pick up the phone to know what you are saying in English. Ruined my last night in Berlin with my partner by telling us they had a boat cruise at 7 ...WHEN THEY DID NOT. We went there ready for a cruise, hoping it would be a great experience and we're told there was no cruise! Way too late to try to find something else. I guess the person on the phone just made a reservation for the boat that doesn't move but our table was not ready as some woman that wouldn't leave kept staying there despite them saying she planned to go. Anyway, given their poor communication, we decided to leave. Maybe in German it's a good experience. Just not so much for us.

I turned up on a hot afternoon just after 13:00 and saw one last table under an umbrella. It was marked reserved from 14:30, so I sat down, with a curry wurst and a drink in mind. The server, on her way to a table in the other direction, shouted over her shoulder at me that the table was reserved. I answered, from 14:30, right? Yes, but I have to set for that party, she snapped back. Really? How long does a curry wurst take, and how long do you need to set? At best, you're admitting incompetence. And even so, don't you come by and, at minimum, inform the customer in a neutral tone (better still, try be nice ... or how about invite me to another table? Worst case would be to say sorry, but I will ask you to leave by 13:40 [say]). I love Germany and I relate strongly to the Germans. Then, every now and then, one of them confirms all the stereotypes, and it takes weeks or months to recover. I had so many other wonderful experiences in Berlin. Join me in protesting rude arrogance by skipping this restaurant.

I went here for lunch with my mother who was visiting. It took them 55min to prepare Fish n Chips. I had to take the food "to go" as my lunch break was already exceeded. When I got back to the office it turns out the fish was still raw.

Really bad service and food. Waited nearly an hour for the food, and when it came, it was cold and tasted like something coming out of the freezer. My stomach hurts while I write this.

The location is perfect, food is good (try the vegetarian "fish" plate with 3 different dip sauces - they are great), but the service leaves A LOT to be desired: they took ages, did not bother to synchronize the arrival of our dishes, forgot things (I've been there twice, so this was not just bad luck) and on top ot that: the waiter was drunk :(
