Van Nam Restaurant - Food and Drink

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant — truly the best hospitality we’ve had anywhere in Vietnam. The view is beautiful, the food is incredibly delicious, and the drinks are wonderful. They brought us tea and popcorn as a complimentary starter, and even the dessert was on the house. Everything was unbelievably tasty, and the portions were very generous. I would especially like to highlight the owner — she is absolutely exceptional. No one has welcomed us in Vietnam the way she did. She did everything, and even more, to make sure we had the best possible time. Her kindness and warmth made us feel completely at home. Her children, who brought us the menus, were also very sweet and polite. Overall, everything was perfect. We felt like home here. Highly recommend — truly highly recommend.

This is THE hidden spot of Ninh Binh. If you want to get away from the busy places this is a must. Unbelievably beautiful views, the kindest loveliest hosts and they even let us fish for free. We didn’t eat but the food looked incredible. Even gifted us with fresh bananas and their own homemade rice popcorn. I wish Van and her fantastic family all the best for the future.

The most amazing restaurant! Van and Nam and their sons Trung and Khoa were so friendly and welcoming. It was a beautiful place with stunning views. Van’s mango smoothie is delicious too! They even provided home made rice puffs and fishing rods for us to enjoy free of charge. A real hidden treasure in Ninh Binh. Highly, highly recommend! Thank you Van and family ❤️

Lovely restaurant, we spotted it from the road due to the cute fairy-lights it has on. Dinner and service was both great - with plenty of vegetarian options available, and dishes can also be tailored for your needs ☺️
