Van Nam Restaurant River and Mountain View

Perfect Unique personal service and delicious food and flavourable smoothies!! The service was spot on! Recieved a welcoming drink and bite. We ordered Some starters to share and later the maincourse. Everything was very good! Got even a dessert from the house. Thank you so much! If we are in Vietnam again we would definatly come back!

We discovered this restaurant by chance while riding our motorbike along the river canals — what an incredible surprise! The food was absolutely amazing, the best we had in Ninh Binh. We had the seafood spring rolls and the stir-fried squid with vegetables and rice, and everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. The owner is so kind and welcoming; she truly does everything she can to make you feel happy and comfortable. It was also the cleanest place we’ve been to — everything was perfectly organized and spotless. We feel so lucky to have found this place to stop, eat, and enjoy a cold beer. I truly hope more people get to experience this lovely restaurant!

Delightful place. The view from the terrace is beautiful, the woman running the place is the sweetest ever (she disadvised me to take two disjes, because it would be too much and she was right! She also offered me to sit in the living room as it was windy & cold on the terrace). And...the most important. The food is stellar! The beef glass noodle soup is one of the best soups I ever had. Drop the touristy spots, come hete for authenticity, warmth and amazing food!!!

This place is an absolute must! We arrived a bit late for dinner (sorry about that!), and even so, we were treated in an exceptional way. The food was incredible, and the family is truly charming and welcoming. Honestly, it’s a place I would highly recommend to everyone. If we were staying longer, we would definitely come back again and again. Thank you so much for such a warm and wonderful time!!! ❤️❤️

Van is a kindest woman I’ve ever met! His husband Nam is the best chef in Vietnam! Their sons are so cute 🥰 Their hospitality is priceless ✨ and what a view! So delicious, so cozy family restaurant in Ninh Binh and I highly recommend this place to everyone. This place holds some of my best memories ✨

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant — truly the best hospitality we’ve had anywhere in Vietnam. The view is beautiful, the food is incredibly delicious, and the drinks are wonderful. They brought us tea and popcorn as a complimentary starter, and even the dessert was on the house. Everything was unbelievably tasty, and the portions were very generous. I would especially like to highlight the owner — she is absolutely exceptional. No one has welcomed us in Vietnam the way she did. She did everything, and even more, to make sure we had the best possible time. Her kindness and warmth made us feel completely at home. Her children, who brought us the menus, were also very sweet and polite. Overall, everything was perfect. We felt like home here. Highly recommend — truly highly recommend.

The most amazing restaurant! Van and Nam and their sons Trung and Khoa were so friendly and welcoming. It was a beautiful place with stunning views. Van’s mango smoothie is delicious too! They even provided home made rice puffs and fishing rods for us to enjoy free of charge. A real hidden treasure in Ninh Binh. Highly, highly recommend! Thank you Van and family ❤️

This is THE hidden spot of Ninh Binh. If you want to get away from the busy places this is a must. Unbelievably beautiful views, the kindest loveliest hosts and they even let us fish for free. We didn’t eat but the food looked incredible. Even gifted us with fresh bananas and their own homemade rice popcorn. I wish Van and her fantastic family all the best for the future.
