Van Rossum Café, Restaurant, Stadshotel

I’m so pleased we found this hotel, it’s an absolute gem. ||The location - Woreden is a lovely quiet small town. There’s not a huge amount in the town, especially during the evening but personally we loved the beauty of it. We were lucky that the local market was on during our stay (Wednesday). ||The hotel is really stunning and sets high first impressions. It’s well presented on the outside and throughout inside. Incredibly clean and tidy and everything feels high quality. Spacious rooms (we had 2 rooms booked to accommodate our family). Comfy beds, good showers and storage for our stay. ||The staff were really welcoming and check in was efficient. ||We had rooms 6 & 7 for our stay. The rooms have low ambient lighting. However, room 6 was a little too dark and would benefit from a few more lamps. ||I was worried the nearby church bells would disturb sleep but the beds were so comfy we slept so well. ||Highly recommend and I’ll definitely book again.

We were here only one night and wished we had more time. The town was cute, and this hotel was right in the center to be able to walk to everything. The hotel has quite a history, and our room was unique. The restaurant downstairs was humming with activity, but we could not hear any of it upstairs in our room. Our room was clean and charming.

It was difficult to get a taxi/ uber on arrival at Woerden station so we had to walk to the hotel with all our luggages quite late at night. The walk did only take about 10 minutes.||The hotel was very nicely set out and smelt lovely, just like a spa resort. Staying at the van Rossum was indeed a niche experience. |The staff were very friendly and helpful.|However the rooms were on the dark side during the day because they only have a small windows in each room. |The other thing is that breakfast is not included in the overnight package, this has to be paid for in addition.

Exceptional Staff & Charming Stay||From start to finish, the staff here went above and beyond. One receptionist helped store our bags and let us change on arrival, while another literally got her hands greasy helping with a last-minute bike issue—on a Sunday, no less! Truly amazing service.||The room was beautiful—rustic yet modern, with an open timber frame that gave it great character. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this picturesque area. It was a great stay from start to finish.

Beautiful hotel with well known restaurant |We had a lovely stay in the stadshotel. Good bed good shower and a good secure place for our bikes. We loved the experience and would come back.

I always use this hotel when I have to be for work in Woerden. Fantastic building, fantastic rooms. And a great restaurant as well! Friendly staff.

We spent one night in this very nice hotel in the centre of Woerden. Beautiful building, very well renovated. The restaurant was also very good, both in the evening and for breakfast. Also, easy and cheap parking nearby (Castellum). Not giving 5 stars because of one issue: the aire extractor in the open bathroom was very loud.

I had an amazing stay at van Rossum, it is a very accommodating place and feels very much like a home in a quiet part of the Netherlands.||Also the staff makes you feel right at home, if you want comfort and quality you will be right at home. ||Make sure you have a chat with some off the staff all of them are very helpful and friendly. ||Thank you for the great stay to all the staff at van Rossum
