"A bustling harborfront complex anchored by a large mall with more than 450 retail stores and a lively mix of restaurants, tours, and leisure activities; it's also the departure point for ferries to the nearby island prison. For locally made souvenirs, the Watershed within the precinct houses over 150 vendors selling crafts, clothing, and jewelry." - Katie Jackson Katie Jackson Katie Jackson is a New York City-based writer who covers travel, food, and more. Fantastic! A superb afternoon! Outdoorsy, bustling with energy, live singers, gaming, awesome art installations, multiple spots of interactive and engaging areas from live sports to seal spotting. Too many restaurants options, something for everyone. An inclusive and community space, that is safe and easy to wander. You’re guaranteed to find something kitschy around every corner! Loved it! Highly recommend!!!

Awesome place to waste time and look around. I'm from JHB so kinda local visitor, I did find things overly expensive but I think they cater more for tourists. Nice quality gifts, and food is also great. Very clean and safe. The people are very nice

The V&A Waterfront in Cape Town is described as a "must-visit" and the vibrant "heart of the city." It's an energetic and captivating destination perfect for travelers and photographers, offering stunning views of the harbour and Table Mountain. Key highlights include watching seals, exploring the Watershed market for authentic African crafts, and taking a ride on the Cape Wheel for breathtaking panoramic views, especially at sunset. The location boasts a wide array of dining options, from artisanal street food to high-end seafood restaurants. Overall, it's portrayed as a safe, clean, and lively place where you can easily spend a full day exploring, shopping, and soaking in the multicultural atmosphere.

A great vibe place in Cape Town located on the waterfront. There is a lot to do including an art gallery, aquarium, live music and dance performances, a swing style bridge, a large shopping centre and a range of souvenir shops and restaurants including a budget friendly food court. There is a supermarket on the basement level of the shopping centre. Be sure to check out the Cape Town Frame, clocktower and the seal landing areas.

The V&A Waterfront is one of my favourite places in Cape Town. The views of Table Mountain and the harbour are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. I love the mix of shops, restaurants, and live entertainment—it’s always buzzing with energy. It can get a bit touristy and crowded, but the atmosphere, scenery, and food options make it totally worth it. A perfect spot for relaxing, people-watching, or treating yourself to something nice.

Very nice mall conveniently located and accessible. The Cape wheel was an amazing experience. It’s a bit pricy so it’s a weight up to do or not to do. But we glad we did it. It goes around 4 times.
