Very welcoming and accommodating host! Cristina is willing to help you discover the city and will give you recommendations for things to do. There is autonomous check in and check out options as well so you have flexibility. The location is extremely convenient and rooms are nicely decorated.

A great place to stay! The room we stayed in was simple but stylish and included a balcony as well as a separate area off of the main bedroom with a table and chairs. V&S is located near the Obelisk and Teatro Colón and is near several Subte (metro) and bus lines so it is easy to get around the city. Cristina was a fantastic host who was very attentive and shared great recommendations for things to see and do in Buenos Aires.

Ever since my arrival I was greeted by the friendliest members of staff and my roommates became good friends during their stay here. As a volunteer in Buenos Aires for 2 months, it was important to stay at a place that ticks all the boxes, and V&S really does! The central location allowed me to move comfortably through the city via public transport (subte and buses are super cheap and very useful). ||||As a vegeterian it was important that I have a place I can prepare my own meals (although there are many veggie friendly food places around, and veggie empanadas, of course!), so the kitchen here, compact and simple, provided me with all the utensils I needed for creating an enjoyable dish (even the lack of oven didn´t stop me for creating nice food). When the meal is ready, the common room is a great place to enjoy it! With an authentic atmosphere is perfect for it all - having a peaceful meal/reading a book/having a movie night or relaxing on the refreshing patio during jamming sessions or beers with the new found friends. ||||The rooms are very cozy and clean - the sheets and towels are getting changed on a weekly basis and the whole room and the bathrooms are cleaned regularely. Air conditioning is an extra bonus on a hot summer day, so the comfort is guaranteed! The showers provide both hot and cold water, are light and airy and even provide a hairdryer, and there´s plenty of shower rooms on every floor, so there will not be a need to wait for long to get your chance to shower. There´s also laundry service available for 120 pesos per laundry bag full of clothes, which is very handy for long stays!||||As I mentioned - the staff here are awesome and always welcoming you with a bright hola! Always willing to help and give advice and vouchers for different events around the town (trust me, there is something happening pretty much every night!)||||So all in all, I really appreciate this hostel being my home for 2 months and I´ll certainly miss the good vibes and people I´ve met here.

The location of the hostel is great with easy access to bus and subway. Rooms and bathrooms are really clean and similar to the pictures. Super nice receptionists who can give you tips to discover the city! Many thanks to them for the warm welcome! There's always lots of international people travelling so the atmosphere is great! I would totally recommend it for anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the center of Buenos Aires!

A lovely hostel with small details that add a distinct charm. Cristina was very helpful throughout my stay and it was appreciated. The hostel functions mainly with messages and detailed instructions via WhatsApp. The room where I stayed was spacious, clean and water pressure excellent. WiFi did not reach this room but it is not a problem as it can be accessed from the common rooms. The kitchen can be used for cooking or heating up food. The Hostel is centrally located and walking distance from supermarkets, bus stops and Metro. Will definitely stay there again when I am in the city.

We took a risk because reviews seemed to be either good or bad for this property but we liked the location. Unfortunately it was the worse accom we had in our 16-day South America trip. ||||The good: ||- Excellent location (very close to Teatro Colon and pretty much walkable to everywhere).||- Beautiful and tidy common area ||- Decent breakfast||- Seemed like a quiet place (if you like that)||||The bad:||- Staff only works certain hours and you will be left dealing with your own problem outside the time. Though we knew this before booking||- Elevator also works certain hours. Problematic if you have heavy luggage. But we also knew ahead, so not big deal.||- Communication can be sporadic. Received timely responses most of the time until suddenly it stopped for many days. Not very professional.||- The private room had poor air flow. The only window in the room opened to an indoor air chute (felt cramp). No bathroom mat provided and the stream never seemed to go away after shower, so the floor was slippery and got dirty quickly. Also no lockers in the room (only one luggage table) and it's hard to keep the room tidy with all the backpacks we had. ||||The ugly:||- The pillow was brown & full with dark circles (see pic). It's irresponsible and mean for any hostel to still use that kind of pillow for its guests. You just have to wonder about the bed, the toilet, the food, etc (we didn't want to check anymore).||- 2 rusty nail stuck out from the bathroom wall (see pic). Slipping and sweeping your hands on the wall will guarantee you a visit to the hospital. A good hostel would not leave this potential hazard unfixed.||- Dirty bathtub with dark spots (see pic). Shower curtain was rusty. I realize it's a hostel and not a 5 star hotel, but I'd never been to any hostel with this kind of rundown condition.||- We had to leave early on the last day and the staff promised to return our key deposit in the room the night before. Well it wasn't there, so gone with our disappointing stay was the deposit. ||||Note that we didn't get to check out the dorm room and it might be better (still, stay at your own risk) and didn't have a chance to raise those issues when we were there. I really hope they do something to improve those as I think they have a great location.

Great location, free breakfast is good! Mostly quiet, but you are in a city centre. Staff all friendly and multi-lingual.||Stayed in a private ensuite room which was clean but basic. Shared area is beautiful and the outside space perfect. Seemed a good mix of travellers staying there too.
