Vanessa Pena, M.D.

Dr. Vanessa Peña was a true blessing for me, my baby, and my husband. My first language is Spanish and my husband’s is English, and since Dr. Vanessa speaks both languages, we were both able to fully understand everything and feel at ease throughout the pregnancy. Throughout the entire process, she was extremely professional, sincere, honest, and very supportive. She was always punctual to our appointments and answered any questions my husband or I had. She always maintained a positive and friendly attitude. I loved feeling truly heard, understood, and supported. Her recommendations and advice were always very professional and focused on what was best for me and my baby. I recommend her 100%.

My experience with Dr. Vanessa was outstanding. She was extremely attentive, answered all my questions with patience, and explained everything clearly and professionally. She was also very kind and compassionate, which made me feel safe and confident throughout the entire visit. I truly appreciated her care and couldn’t recommend her more

Dr. Peña is a wonderful physician to have on your care team. Even after I gave birth, she still remembers me and always asks about my daughter.

Dr.Pena was great, her and her nurse were very professional but also warm, understanding, patient and informed me of everything I asked. They made me feel taken care of. The office team was great too, very diligent with a great disposition. I would recommend this practice. (I ended up changing because they only deliver in a hospital with very few private rooms, but I know that is changing in 2026 so if this is an important issue for you but your due date is after the renovation I would definitely try Dr. Pena and her team)

As always, Dr. Pena is a fantastic doctor. She is always kind, knowledgeable, empathetic, attentive…and the list could keep going. I am fortunate to have her as my obgyn since 10 years now, she helped me in different situations, starting from the birth of my amazing kind. If you have her as your doctor, consider yourself lucky. Dr. Pena is amazing! I became her patient for family planning and my periodic check ups. Gour months later I got pregnant and even though we are at the early stages of the pregnancy, she already has been tremendously helpful. Ensured I understood what to expect each trimester, explained with details all the tests we will be performing during the pregnancy and why, and re assured that how her and her team of fellow Obstetricians will walk with us all the way through the delivery date. Two pluses: her nurse is amazing and Dr. Pena speaks fluent spanish.

Dr Pena is the best! She delivered all 3 of our kids and is an incredible doctor. There’s no one I would have more confidence in or trust more leading up to and during the delivery process than Dr Pena. She’s also incredibly kind and always has mom and baby’s best interest in mind.

Dr Pena delivered both of our daughters and I wouldn’t want to go to any other OB. She really takes the time to care for her patients and follow-up on any questions / concerns. She has a great demeanour and is so reassuring for first time (and second time) parents.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Dr. Pena is. Compassionate, empathetic, supportive, knowledgeable, understanding... the list goes on and on. Dr. Pena supported me throughout my entire pregnancy. She helped me understand all steps throughout my pregnancy, and labor/delivery. Her support staff at Lower Presbyterian were just as wonderful. All of the nurses were great, answering my questions (sometimes multiple times!) and helping me care for my newborn. The rooms are not nearly as bad as people say, and honestly the staff by far makes up for it. I hope to one day deliver another healthy child with this team.

Love Dr. Pena! Calmly addresses all my questions, and let's me talk myself out, while providing me with the facts I need. Never made me feel rushed, but at the same time got down to business very efficiently. I've never had to wait in her office, everything runs very smoothly. They were also very accommodating when I pulled a super pregnancy brain move and went to the hospital instead of her office for an appointment and ended up arriving 30 minutes late to my appointment. Love the whole Weill Cornell group and highly recommend people come here!

Dr. Pena is an amazing doctor! She delivered our daughter in August and I would highly recommend her. Dr Pena was great and helpful throughout the entire process, but she was most impressive at crunch time in the delivery room; it's difficult to know from meeting a doctor how they will be during the actual delivery, but Dr Pena was incredible!! Hands down, I will go to her again for our next baby and would highly recommend her and the staff at NY Presbyterian Lower Manhattan.
