Vanidols South Hobart

Sep 2024: food was delicious, staff were very friendly and knew the menu. Restaurant was packed to the brim. Meals were served within a timely manner. Mixed entree was more than expected, but main dish, although absolutely delicious, seemed slightly overpriced for what it was, Pink Ling. Ling is great fried, but not really when served any other way. Would have preferred another fish. Side of veg was quite lacklustre and not required. Definitely returning, and will try different dishes.

Do yourself a favour and have a meal at Vanidols. Beautiful meal full of flavour, the best Thai fusion meal in Hobart. Over years have introduced many friends to this amazing restaurant. Staff are polite and very helpful, great service without being overbearing. Meals are always consistent in size and flavour. Love this restaurant.

I recently dined at Vanidols restaurant and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of cozy and elegant. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right from the moment we stepped in. I ordered the pad Thai and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The presentation was beautiful as well, showing great attention to detail. My husband had the pad kee mow beef, and it was equally impressive. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell the dishes were made with care and passion. Highly recommended!

Great Asian food! Was recommended by our airbnb host and we decided to give it a try. The duck wraps were wrapped in some sort of roti which were amazing. The signature pork belly dish and rendang curry were great too! Rendang dish was very spicy but we loved it. Prices are high but generous portions for each dish.

Absolutely fantastic. The food was fabulous. It arrived very quickly. The best scallops I’ve ever had. They customised the dish to suit my allergies. Very grateful. The service was brilliant. I had an amazing experience at Vanidols South Hobart! The rum panna cotta that was on special was absolutely delicious, and the Pad Thai was one of the best I’ve ever had—and I’ve eaten a lot of Pad Thai! The duck pancakes were also very delicious. We were able to enjoy a private room for our family, which was perfect with kids, and they were incredibly accommodating of our daughter’s peanut allergy, which gave us peace of mind. The service and atmosphere were both fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Delicious Asian food with some twists. Excellent services. Recommend the Van’s Duck Wraps, Tom Yum Goong

Have been there when it opened many years ago and still fantastic. Staff super friendly and know their food. Chef David was on duty when we first arrived and made our favourite Duck Roll. Big Chef Khun Van did a fantastic range of small dish for us to try. Left very full 👍🙏🙏🙏 Serving staff tops.
