In an almost empty restaurant, I waited more than 30 minutes for the pizza you see in the photo. I prefer the frozen one I buy at the supermarket, and it costs half as much. They should hire more staff if they can’t even keep up with food that, in my opinion, tastes the same as precooked meals. Maybe changing the "a" to an "o," "vapiano" would become a more honest "vo piano," wouldn’t it?

My first experience going to Vapiano in Berlin, usually I went to the one in London, and you can see the chef cooking in front of you, and choosing all kinds of pasta, ingredients, etc. the experience was amazing, too bad that it isn’t the same in Berlin. But aside all that, the taste is the same and very delicious. Kudos for maintaining that.

Waaaaay too salty. I noticed that Germans eats salty. This restaurant too. I can’t finish my food because of this. Went here 3 times during my Berlin visit cos they have pics on the self-order menu. When there’s a lot of people food is served VERY SLOWLY. U gotta have time to eat here. There’s a lot of customers waiting with grumpy face 😂😂. But at 11 am on Sunday there’s no queue and it was pretty quick. However, there’s plenty of seats for everyone with huge floor-to-ceiling glass windows. I wouldn’t recommend cos it’s too salty. Pesto isn’t near authenticity. Avoid pesto gnocchi with bacon, and carbonara with salmon.

A very good Vapiano restaurant in the zoo logischer garten area. Vibe and atmosphere in the restaurant was very good. Most importantly food was very tasty. I ordered Pesto Fusili pasta and panna cotta, both were very tasty. The bar/dessert counter was bit slow due over crowd. Overall the restaurant was not crowded.

We had such a good experience here! We had a long day walking around Berlin with our three young kids, and we wanted a quick bite to eat before driving home. Mr. Pouri was very helpful! The pizza dough was all out, but he managed to save the day and turned „Pinsa“ into pizza. Thank you so much, we will definitely return when we visit Berlin again! That is what you call great service.

How to ruin an order process? Go here and find out. A stupid monitor awaits you to take your order. Like in Mcdonald. And the waiting begins. The menue gives you so many options, that it takes everyone an eternity to decide... And keep in mind: some people are really bad in taking decisions... And you have two monitors only... Vapanio: you fkkkt it up. Sorry, it's been somehow anonymous but know it's nerve wrecking also. Congrats for your concept. A very frustrated customer, waiting now longer than 15 minutes to place his order... And there is no progress.... By the way: ordering from the table doesn't work either. It has really nothing to do with a nice restaurant. You feel like bering in IKEA or Mcdonald The food was salty but okish. Expensive: a pinsa ~16€... So, no recommendation at all. Bring back charm, people and personalitie...

The food was tasty, a little too salty but not dramatic. Service was lacking this time because they didn't have takeaway containers/boxes like the sauces because if you're on a long journey the sauces mix with everything

We ordered two pizzas, one gluten-free and the other regular, we checked three times to make sure the order was correct. Halfway through the pizza it turned out that both pizzas had gluten. I recommend checking the order after receiving it as a warning.

Yelp
Vapiano in the Europa Centre is probably one of my favourite branches of the chain from my time in Berlin, Vapiano have really impressed me here with an extensive gluten free selection, especially compared to the UK stores which basically do nothing. Vapiano is quite an interesting concept, where you queue separately for different foods with pizza and lasagne being one line, pasta being another, risotto and salad is also served, you basically scan one card per visitor at each desk, and you pay as you leave. This branch is quite large and is basically located on the top floor of the Europa Centre, but there is also another way into it from street level, fairly close to KFC and they do have outdoor seating. I ordered a Gluten Free Tonno Pizza, and my friend ordered a Chicken Salad, my pizza did take a long time and my friend was able to order her salad, sit down and begin to eat it before mine had even started beeping, and the store was quiet too, but the pizza was worth the wait, as the pizza base was very good especially for gluten free, it did taste fresh. I don't like the fact I have to pay an extra 1.50 euros for a gluten free base however, as I don't choose to order it, yet I'm forced to because of my coeliac disease. You wouldn't see them charging a vegetarian more, for example, would you? I ordered a tuna and red onion pizza which is classed as a Tonno, the toppings and pizza were good quality, albeit there was slightly too much tuna on the pizza in some parts, yet of course for me this is better than not having enough. It was frustrating to see they also didn't have a pizza cutter so I was forced to use a knife and fork. When ordering my food, I was pressured into quickly deciding a drink which I didn't like, I also could have ordered this at the bar, and I ended up getting a flavour i didn't like, he seemed unwilling to read the flavours out so I guessed lemon flavour, only to find out this wasn't sweetened and was frankly dreadful, when I tried to swap this at the bar, all of this was happening of course while still waiting for my pizza, the language barrier got in the way and I ended up buying another drink, without the one I never drunk being knocked off my bill, and I was unable to dispute this at payment because the receipt only seemed to be printed after my card was scanned, and my friend paid while I was using the toilet facilities, which seemed quite clean. Inside, this place is also quite relaxing with nice views due to the high floor location in the Europa Centre. This is a nice branch and it does impress me that they have English menus, making it easy for me as a tourist, a better selection of drink than other Vapiano branches I have visited, as well as a good gluten free selection and I ended up getting a good, fresh pizza so I feel Europa Centre's Vapiano does deserve a four star rating, as my favourite Vapiano branch I have visited in either the UK or Germany.

Yelp
Vapiano is not terrible but not amazing either. A characterless place for ok food. If there is literally nothing close by that serves decent food, Vapiano is a legit option. Compared to the other Vapiano at Potsdamer Platz this is one is larger and more quiet. Also the view at Kurfürstenstraße ist really nice. The food is good but nothing special. I came here for the dessert because I was craving for something sweet. It's pretty much the same with the main dishes: It's good. Especially their "Death by chocolate" cake with white chocolate was surprisingly nice. Not too sweet and super soft! But in the end you won't find any wow-effects. Frankly you could get any of these treats elsewhere prepared with more love and with more creativity. I just dropped by because I was too lazy to search for the next patisserie. People who have no idea of proper Italian kitchen might hype this chain but real foodies won't. So I'll give 3 stars for Vapiano's performance.

Yelp
You will stand in line waiting to order for 20 minutes, only to have it cooked by a barely-trained "chef" who puts together something not much better than a microwaveable Italian dinner--but it's €10.50. They skimp on meat/fish, add lots of pasta, lots of oil & salt and it's 'fresh.' I'm done with this place and with so many really good, family owned Italian places in Berlin, I would feel guilty ever coming back to this corporate joke.

Yelp
The food is good but the system is terrible. I had to wait almost 60 min in line for it.

Yelp
Great food but not good or nice service. Long waiting and they cut of to one line. Some answers in English but still not nice enough

Yelp
Brilliant food at a reasonable price. You get cards and have your food cooked while you wait. Absolutely beautiful pasta bolognese and lasagne. Would recommend highly.

Yelp
Get off your @rse a get in yourself Pick up a menu, pick up a pay card, pick up a tray and order your food. At each food and drink station there's a little machine you hold your pay card up to and it records the price. When you're done take the card up to the cash machine and pay. Easy, right? The best (or worst, depending on your opinion) thing about Vapiano's concept is that it's self service. Ready to order? Head to the pasta, pizza or antipasti stations. Want a glass of wine? Make your way to the bar and pick one up. However, that's not to say that there's no staff: there are plenty of people around to clear your plates and give you a hand. Whilst there are a couple of salad options, mains are basically pizzas and pastas, so if you're not a fan of flour there aren't too many choices. Prices are decent and Pasta is made right in front of you (it only takes a couple of minutes) so you have the chance to specify what ingredients you want: a bit more chilli, a bit less salt. When you order a pizza they give you a buzzer, which goes off right as it's coming out of the oven. Some people won't like Vapiano. No matter the quality of the food, for some, self service is beneath them - that's what McDonalds is for, right? However, if you're willing to pick up a tray and get into the spirit of things a bit, it's a refreshing - and delicious - change from the norm.

Yelp
This review is only for the takeaway counter, and by god is it awful. Never once have they actually delivered on time, it's always at least a 20 minute delay without any apologies. If you're looking for a quick takeaway option, head to any other nearby spot.

Yelp
Very bad service. Waited more than an hour for them to loose the ticket of our order. Complained to the manager and had to wait another 30mins for the food to be made. Not worth your money. The place was full of people and really overwhelming. Sucks I didn't check the reviews before going in.

Yelp
Good pizza. Nice interior. Poor service. We waited about 25 mins for our food and when we went to collect it they had run out of prosciutto for one pizza. The pizza chef said he'd fix it and bring it and the four salads (also not ready) up. It arrived with tonno vitello -sauce and all. We didn't accept it and they seemed confused. Eventually they let us substitute another pizza. The salad also was floating in dressing. Overall the problem seems to be due to the structure. Since you pick out your food at stands and you also collect it, no one person is really responsible for your experience (i.e. a waiter). And we ordered less than we would have otherwise because we couldn't be bothered to step to another counter and queue for a starter. Overpriced massively considering the bad experience.
