Restaurante Varadero Viejo Las Galletas

Firstly the staff have abit of an attitude. We were sat in a spot where loads of flies were around, and my beer and food was just not enjoyable having to swat them away the whole time. No one else had this problem it seemed, so I politely asked for a fresh beer and showed him my drink. They charged me for the undrinkable fly infested beverage 😃 The quality of the fish is good however it was just not tasty for the price. Very bland and under seasoned. Oh and they bring stale bread to the table without asking and charge you for it, as well as adding 7% onto the bill at the end for their "great" service.

Wie did have very nice lunch. The prawns with garlic and the daily fish filet is definetly worth a recommendation. The service was very friendly and the ambiente with the sea view wss great. Nit crowded like ither places. Thumbs up. Muchas Gracies. Empfehlenswert.

A lovely place to sit in the evening and watch the sunset. The fish was very delicious, fresh, and well prepared. The typical Canarian dessert was amazing.

The staff are very helpful and lovely. The food was great too, fish was very fresh and the location by the beach is also 10/10 deffo recommend.

I have been going to this place for last 4 years. I liked food and service very much. In my opinion it was one of the best places in the area. Today I did not like the service and finally did not place an order. The waiter was so in a hurry and not nice that I went to other restaurant. So: DO NOT recommend.

The food is very good! We had: bread with mojo sauces:Very good and it’s very delicious! fried seafood: The calamari was so good with little calamaris. Paella with chicken and seafood: the rice was fluffy and it’s so delicate. Seafood was so rich and juicy. Thank you for everything Varadero Viejo!

They have one of the best sangrias and very tasty fish dishes. Both the food and the service are excellent.

Food was very good. Delicious salad. We ordered garlic prawns to start but they came with our salads bizarrely. As has previously been mentioned the staff are pretty rude and for some reason very arrogant. Then there is the 7% tax added at the end! Not the end of the world but better to be honest from the start I think. Won’t be back but only because of staff attitudes being so unwelcoming.
