I sailed on Harmony G to the Ioanian Islands. The ship had been painted a dark blue and gray, so it looked nothing like the pictures. The area you board is the worst area of Marina Zea with half sunken boat and on return a demolition crew had destroyed it and boat debris was everywhere. I couldn't believe the last night of an island tour was docked at the Marina, with no activities planned or offered. This is when my rating went from a 3 to a 2. They had 2 Captain dinners, but the Captain never appeared. This cruise was not for me, disappointing, too much time in ports, only a few swim stops (but they were highlightsof the trip), and most sailing while asleep. The ship was older, with stained worn carpets, and the decks were dirty. The positives: Cabins were large, good pillows, nice shower; while towels were clean, many had stains. Staff were nice. Breakfast was good, lunch was their best meal, with a variety of choices; dinners disappointing. The only planned excursions for 94€ were all canceled for lack of interest/participation. Minimal information was supplied by staff for the ports; customers tended to help each other plan alternatives. Added pictures of the beginning and end of the trip.

Greece > Jewels of the Cyclades > Galileo > 4 passengers > Oct 18-25 2024 -------------------- Variety Cruise appears to support a culture of safety and comfort violations, false advertising, and doing the bare minimum possible. Specifically, the Galileo ship, Captain Christos, Hotel Manager George and Tour Director Vicky. Our mom’s 80th birthday trip was ruined. FALSE: “SAFETY & COMFORT” On the sundeck a 2.5 cm thick steel cable stay with steel chain at the end holding the central sailing mast, snapped with sound as loud as a gunshot and nearly took off my sister’s head. It hit the side of the vessel missing her head by a hair. I rushed to her thinking the worst, that she was severely injured. I held the cable down while another passenger went to alert the crew and tie it up. This was life threatening. Clearly the attachment point was rusted beyond its service life and should have been replaced prior to breaking. It was rusted out to approximately 5 mm wide while the other attachment points were 30 mm wide. Clearly indicating the ship has not undergone a safety inspection in many years.

Seriously an unforgettable experience with awesome service and so friendly staff.we went with the harmony V around at the Aegean sea . captain was a living legend 🙌🏼🙌🏼 . Thank you for everything variety cruises. im super stoked..
