😊: Lovely setting with wonderful views overlooking harbour Easy stroll into town Easy to stop outside and unload bags, then park just down the road. Quirky furniture, fixtures and fittings - all very “retro”. 😢: This was the most expensive of the 5 accommodations we stayed in during our 2 week holiday. Unfortunately it was the most disappointing. Hot water only obtained if you switch it on 15 minutes beforehand. The tap water is salty, so you can’t drink it from the tap, or use in the kettle (bottles of water were not provided). Bed not made up properly - top sheet just left folded on the bed, for us to make up. Only 3 pillows, of which only 2 had a pillow case. Only one bedside table/one bedside lamp. Shutters were electrically operated, but this was not obvious and no instructions given as how to open/close them. Room not serviced daily - only bins emptied. There is crockery and cutlery, but the washing up is up to you - and this is done in the bathroom sink, next to your toothbrush etc, and no room to place washed up articles. Such a shame, as so much of this could easily be improved..

Room was very ordinary, but the beautiful view made up for this. The room did have a coffee machine, cutlery and crockery, so quite well equipped. The bathroom had a powerful shower, but was very cramped and in need of a refurb. The view made up for all this, and we loved sitting on the balcony. I would consider other options ( if available) before staying here again.

😊: Amazing views! Car park is nearby and also all amenities. A very chilled space. A nice pool and the views! Did I mention the view. AMAZING!. 😢: Lack of facilities so more of a room with a fridge than apartment. However, loved our stay here..

We recently did a little tour o Kefalonia, staying in places where we had often thought, “I wonder what it would be like to stay here.” Assos was one of those places—and it didn’t disappoint. Neither did our accommodation.||We stayed at the beautiful Vasilis Retreat, perched high on the hillside with breathtaking views over the bay. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our room, which was absolutely perfect. Truly faultless in every way.||I think our photos speak for themselves, but words alone can’t quite capture just how stunning it really was.

Vassili's Retreat in the village of Assos, Kefalonia is one of the BEST place I booked in Greece . The whole villa is amazing . With many antic details which I apreciated very much . The rooms is big ! With a double bed and a single one . Very confortable . Daily cleaning . Coffee every day . When we reached the place in the frigo we found fresh fruits and cold water . From the terrace there is an outstanding view of the village with amazing sunset and sunrise view . The host and the stuff friendly and very very kind . Everything within 50-100 m. The small bay and the bigger one too. Very close to the parking place . Had one of the most amazing stay in Greece . Such a lovely hotel in the most beautiful location. The view from the balcony is stunning. Rooms lovely and clean, service fab. Socrates is a great host. No hesitation, just book!

Great facilities and most wonderful relaxing view of the most beautiful harbour in Assos. Faultless accommodation and cleaner very friendly and thorough. Great small beach with stunning clear shallow water for swimming. Four great restaurants just down the steps and amazing bakers in the village with delicious Greek pies and cakes. Amazing Greek souvlaki wraps at Cheeky Monkey street food van too as alternative. Our only regret was travelling at end of season (October weather still great 24 degrees ) unable to make full use of pool. Short drive to many other beaches, caves and Fiscado for odd days out.
