What we liked :|- Lovely setting with wonderful views overlooking harbour |- Easy stroll into town|- Easy to stop outside and unload bags, then park just down the road. |- Quirky furniture, fixtures and fittings - all very “retro”| |What we didn’t like:|- Hot water only obtained if you switch it on 15 minutes beforehand. |- The tap water is salty, so you can’t drink it from the tap, or use in the kettle (bottles of water were not provided). |- Bed not made up properly - top sheet just left folded on the bed, for us to make up. |- Only 3 pillows, of which only 2 had a pillow case. |- Only one bedside table/one bedside lamp. |- Shutters were electrically operated, but this was not obvious and no instructions given as to how to open/close them|- Room not serviced daily - only bins emptied.|- There is crockery and cutlery, but the washing up is up to you - you have to do this in the bathroom sink, next to your toothbrush etc, |and there is no room to place washed up articles.|- The little metal cupboard with crockery was quite grubby inside. ||Whilst all these negatives seem relatively small, this was the most expensive accommodation of the 5 places we stayed in during our 2 week holiday, and the most disappointing.
