First time to Rome, picked this hotel based on location and reviews. Although it is not a "normal american hotel" like Marriott, it is a nice, new room, all marble bathroom, I like softer beds, this one was firm but surprisingly comfortable. We had jet tub in room, small, good for soaking feet after walking, have to be short to enjoy it as a tub, like 5'3. Street is somewhat noisy during the day, but very quiet at night, as someone else noted, no restaurants below = less noise. Staff is very helpful. I had emailed them ahead of time and they promptly answered my questions. Easiest way to get there from FCO was by taxi, rome has flat rate $50E, to most areas within rome walls from fco. 5 min walk to St. Peters Basilica, 10 to vatican museum entrance. I would recommend this hotel.
Some notes on getting around if you want to read on: We used busses most of our 3 days, touch and pay on phone was super easy and cheap, $1.70E every ride, you scan your gpay on bus card reader once you get on. We did take metro train to get near borghese gallery, was ok. Bus was better in my opinion, but you usually ride for a few stops to get where you are going. Farthest we went was to coloseum, probably 6 stops and took 45 minutes, but it is cool to see the city this way. Very safe and clean. Google maps will shop public transportation times to destinations and where you need to walk too in order to catch the bus or metro. They list multiple bus numbers on Google, that doesn't mean you have to change busses, it simply shows two different bus options at same times. Each station stop offers routes on posts at stop. Plan on walking too, easiest way to get around by far, but busses offer some breaks if needed. Enjoy Rome!
