The Williamsburg Vintage Shops That Shaped My Style

"A distinctive offering of theirs is deadstock (never-worn vintage items), including Lee’s carpenter jeans, field trousers, and more pants from the 1970s. They have a store upstate in Red Hook, New York in addition to the East Williamsburg location."

Vaux Vintage is hands down one of the best vintage stores in New York. The curation is incredible! Every piece is carefully chosen by the owner Aly, with the best mix of timeless classics. The store has a beautiful, welcoming vibe that makes browsing such a pleasure. Aly has an amazing eye for style and quality, and it really shows in the selection. Whether you’re looking for something everyday and wearable or a one-of-a-kind statement piece, you’ll always find something special here. It’s the kind of shop that captures the true spirit of Williamsburg: creative, stylish, and full of character. Highly recommend checking out Vaux Vintage if you’re in Brooklyn.

in just over 6 months since finding vaux, i’ve shopped here a few times, and it’s become one of my favorite spots in brooklyn. for me the consistent quality and timelessness of their pieces is the key. the staff is very attentive and helps you without ever being pushy. this is vintage done with taste, beware you’d want to return!

My favorite vintage spot in the neighborhood! Some of my most beloved pieces that I wear all the time are from Vaux, and every time I come back they have great new stuff. Nice variety of colors/patterns and neutrals, lovely vibe in the store to browse around - good sale rack! Pricing is usually reasonable, and even when the tag's a little high, the piece is always in great shape and lasts a long time in my wardrobe.

An absolute go-way-out-of-my-way destination every time I visit NYC/Brooklyn. Vaux is ever changing and always full of beautiful surprises. Prices are very reasonable for such incredible pieces. Highly recommended if you like vintage, clothes, or just having a nice day.

one of my top 5 vintage stores in NYC! love the curation and combination of wearable & statement pieces. worth a trip to! I come from Manhattan to shop and I’ve found a great candelabra and shirt that I love. Staff is also very welcoming and helpful. the bags / shoes / jewelry are also to die for ❤️

For years, Vaux has been one of my all-time favorite vintage stores in NYC. Incredibly thoughtful, high-quality selection with a range of antique to more recent vintage pieces. Owner and staff are lovely, too. I live in South Brooklyn and I always find an excuse to come here whenever I'm in Williasmburg/Greenpoint. A real local gem <3

This is a wonderfully curated collection of women’s vintage clothing. The vibe is light and bright, and very intentional. The kind of place that actually has room for you to move the clothes on the rack, ya know? (No offense, Stella Dallas.) It’s run by good people who you can tell put a lot of work into the things they bring into the store. Also, don’t sleep on their pop-ups!

LOVE Vaux Vintage. I have been shopping here for years and some of the items I wear every day I bought from this store. The clothing is well curated and a true gem in Brooklyn.
