VC@Suanpaak Boutique Hotel & Service Apartment

This was our 2nd hotel of our trip around Thailand. We primarily chose this as it provides an excellent shuttle service too and from the airport. (The hotel is very close to the airport).|The hotel is fairly small with a number of other buildings which contained a restaraunt, coffee shop and service apartments. We has a hotel room on the 2nd floor, overlooking the pool. On first impressions it reminded us of an African lodge with all the large dark wood beams!|The hotel has lovely grounds - very green and a little quirky with several outbuildings!|Check in was very quick - reception staff are excellent - could I mention 'Yui' and Oill' for their help and assistance during our stay. We were shown to our room a short walk from the reception building - and it is noticeable re the noise coming from the cars leaving the multi storey shopping centre which is next door. However this noise is not really noticeable form the room. |The room was very large with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. (Shower was excellent). Room was very clean and well equipped.|We had breakfast in the restaraunt and also had an evening meal on one of our nights - the restaraunt was very quiet - which is a shame as the food we had both for the evening meal and for breakfast was good. |The hotel is a little was outside of the main part of Chang Mai - however we made good use of Uber taxis which were cheap and plentiful. The shopping centre and huge supermarket next door were really useful and just a 5 minute walk away. There are places to eat there as well.|The hotel were great in helping us arrange a visit to the local cultutral centre for a meal and a show on one of the nights and they also helped us book a river cruise on our last day. They also kindly dropped us off at the cultural centre and boatyard and we made our own way back afterwards.|We didnt have the best of weather whilst we were there - but Chang Mai was a great place to visit - loved the temples and night market!

I was impressed by how spotless the room was. Even under the furniture, in hidden corners, and around wall decorations, there wasn’t a single speck of dust. The bedding smelled fresh and pleasant, it was clear that the property is very well maintained. There’s a large mall right next door, making it convenient to get everything I needed. The airport is only a three-minute drive away. There is pick up and drop off service by the hotel. I stayed here for three nights, and getting a Grab taxi was effortless, likely because of the proximity to the airport.

Hotel with a lot of character though some may think that is needs modernising. Whilst this may be true everything worked fine. Lots of very interesting ornaments and unique decorations in the hotel. The owner is a collector of antiques. Swimming pool nice and clean, some would feel its out of the way a a bit far from the city center, because you cant just walk to shops etc but i took GRAB taxi's and its only about 120baht to city center. However there is a large shopping mall 5 mins walk away and we did a lot of shopping there on our last day- perfect! Would stay there again. NICE.

This review is a tough one to write. While the rooms are big and lovely- minus the bed that is like sleeping on hard cardboard, the staff is friendly, I cannot stress how awful the location is. Yes it’s close to the airport, but unless you are not affected by loud noise at all, don’t expect to get any sleep here. The noise from the mall next door is excessive. We were woken up at 2am by someone blasting insanely loud music from their car for hours. And the breakfast is completely inedible and quite frankly disgusting. You are better off staying someplace further from the airport and just paying for a quick Grab ride. The proximity to the airport is not worth it.

A peaceful oasis in the airport district. This hotel is a great find. 5 minutes from airport and next to Central Mall. Large clean room and beautiful pool. Most of all great staff. Mr Yod and his staff scheduled a last minute airport shuttle and gave us directions to amenities in the area. Tried the restaurant for dinner and it was great. Will stay again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this boutique four-star hotel, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. One of the highlights for us, as cat lovers, was meeting the few lovely cats that the owner has rescued. It felt like heaven to be around these friendly and well-cared-for cats, adding a unique charm to the place. Located just a few meters away from the airport, this hotel is a true gem for travelers seeking convenience without compromising on comfort. It is very next to a large department store and the hotel architecture and rooms are traditional I guess. I love this hotel and it's service
