With a saddened heart, I regret to leave my first ever 1 star review for a restaurant in India, where I have been blessed with amazing food for almost two months. For details jump to the 3rd paragraph and check out the photos. They speak louder than words. Let's talk about the good things first, this restaurant is affiliated with Learn for Life, a non-profit organization that helps underprivileged children with education, a big applause for that. Here comes the food part. I ordered vegan thali and mint, lemon and cucumber juice. Please see attached photo of the thali dish. All the veggies were badly burned, overly oily, and under salted. I suggest the restaurant putting more effort into cooking the food.

A small but interesting hangout place for youngsters and travellers who prefer secluded and comfortable place for themselves. A mix of continental, European and Chinese food for travellers. Most of the furniture is recyctor upcycle using old wooden tables and chairs that are repainted with bright colors, and circulation space is enough for staff to move with plates and orders. It has a small TV area, a cluster for 20 people to dine together, as well as couple seating. It's equipped with ample space for group parties and celebrations. As they have small concerts and recitals here, which is famous part of the stay with Banaras lifestyle. This Cafe us unique as it has a social outreach program too. As they also raise funds for a special school where needy children as given quality education. Apart from a school, they have an inhouse showroom of handmade/homemade or traditional organic products, with art and handicraft products available for sale. Overall it's a great combination of soulful place with a meaningful network.

Fantastic salads made fresh to order. Spinach, papaya, pomegranate seeds, walnuts, lemon cracked pepper corns. Also had a nice spinach and mushroom burger and a lemon, cucumber and mint juice.

The place had a lot flies, seats were not cleaned of food debris @9:30AM. Food was just ok. I think, evening ambiance would be good for this place.

This was our favourite restaurant in Varanasi (linked to the German bread bakery)! Great food. Nice environment. Lovely and helpful staff... And felt great to know the profit from restaurant goes towards funding projects to support Indian women gain work skills in fabric/garment making and a school for children. So happy to support projects like this, that do so much good 😊

I have never written a bad review before, but feel I had to write this. I went with 2 friends and we got a margarita pizza with added spinach mushroom and olives, roasted potatoes with sesame seeds and beans, a tomato basil pasta and a cashew sauce gluten free pasta. The pizza came out and was so dry. It had basically no taste of tomato as the paste had literally completely dried and there was minimal amounts of vegetables on top of the pizza. Then the tomato pasta came out. It was nothing special, just a basic tomato sauce in pasta. Could not taste any herbs. The roasted potatoes were very oily, and again had very little taste. The cashew gluten free pasta was probably the best dish, very creamy and rich and had some good flavour. Also another note. The server we had was not very friendly or helpful. We asked if we could have the gluten free noodles in the tomato dish as my sister has a gluten allergy and we were happy to pay extra. We also asked if we could add mushrooms to a pasta dish and pay extra and the server said no. Very confusing as we were allowed to add extra vegetables to the pizza. I would not recommend going to this place especially for the prices you are paying here. The layout and ambiance of the restaurant is nice. But the food and the service is sadly very bad. I sincerely hope that you can improve the quality of your food and service Vegan & Raw. Food 2/5 Service 1/5 Ambiance 3/5

Our experience for dinner was great. Staff was very friendly, wide variation in food choice. Although we are non-vegans we liked all of it ! It was a great unexpected experience. I would advise this place to everyone. A small improvement might be some more italian herbs for my pizza. But that would make it even more perfect !

The only one raw food and vegan restaurant in Varanasi nowadays.
