It's in this beautifully restored 120-year-old teakwood colonial-style house on Arun Amarin Road, right near Wat Arun. The ambience feels so elegant and peaceful – perfect for a chill vegan meal in the Old Town area.
We started with the mixed dim sum platter. It looked absolutely gorgeous when it arrived, with a nice variety of steamed and deep-fried dumplings to try.
Taste-wise, they were decent – nothing bad at all – but they lacked that real depth of flavour I was hoping for. The steamed ones were pretty to look at, but the wrappers felt a bit too thick and there wasn't enough filling inside. The deep-fried options were enjoyable, though still missing something to make them pop.
For mains, my pad thai was solid – tasty and satisfying in its vegan version.
The green curry was actually really good – rich, aromatic, and well-balanced.
The vegan pork belly was interesting with a nice texture (chewy-crisp in the right way), and the flavour was okay, but the crispy garlic on top was way too bitter for me. I think if they'd added some onions or something to balance it, it would've been much better.
Service was excellent – super friendly and attentive – and the whole vibe made the meal feel special. The menu has tons more dishes I want to try, so I'd definitely go back next time I'm in Bangkok.
Overall, it was a nice experience and I don't regret going at all. The setting alone is worth it, and the food is good... it just needs a little more bold flavour and depth to take it to the next level. I'd give it a solid 7.5 out of 10.
