Fantastic selection at this tiny little location. Huge selection of items from brands all over. We did not get to meet Barbara in person, but she and her colleague are doing a fantastic job. Keep up the great work and GO VEGAN !!!!!!

Google
Amazing, just amazing vegan store! It’s quite small in size, but has a great variety of interesting and unique products. Local vegan cheese and sausages that I bought were delicious and tasted like a real thing! The ladies working in the store were very friendly and helpful, gave us some recommendations and also let us try some cheese before purchasing it. Highly recommended!

Google
Nice guys, good products and a lot of people. The variety is quite impressive, tasted my first vegan salmon, and it was really nice. But the staff, they are really something. Recommend to go to see them, even for a sandwich, if not for more.

Google
Huge range of absolutely delicious food, including fresh sandwiches (very tasty mortadella and cheese on focaccia), the most AMAZING tirimisu! (certainly the best in Rome), delicious chocolate orange swiss roll, and sea cocktail salad. Barbara is an amazing vibrant woman, very friendly, and knowledgable, yet so easy to talk to. If only I had gone here sooner, I would have been able to try out so much more food, and got to eat that amazing tiramisu more than once. Definitely prioritise coming here!

Google
This is a small shop that is overflowing with great specialty products at amazing prices. And beyond that, they sell handmade custom sandwiches filled with fancy vegan meats and cheeses. The staff are very friendly and the food is AMAZING!

Google
A wonderful place with great vegan chesses, especially the one from garbanzo, and a great vegan salami, and many more great vegan products. But best of all is wonderful Barbara, who stands in courage in front of violent people that cant stand to see a change is coming, and vegan products are getting more and more popular. Grazie barbara! (And yes, you can also taste a lot of the products, its fun and tasty :-)

Google
Fantastic vegan cheeses and meat-free options with lovely staff who are as helpful, warm and welcoming as can be. We thought the arancini from the counter were delicious too. If we were ever in Rome again, we would definitely come back!

Google
Astounding selection of vegan cheeses, meats, you name it. Vegan heaven. Just wish I had a portable fridge and no restrictions on what I could take on a plane as I would have bought the whole store if I could. There's a food counter, too, where I had a delicious arancini. The staff were very warm, welcoming, helpful and accommodating.

Yelp
A huge fan of local markets that showcase the freshest, local ingredients and products, when I travel I seek them out. Testaccio is a covered market and has lots of stalls featuring gorgeous produce, vibrant fruit, cured meats, pastries, olive oils, balsamic vinegars and pesto, and of course, cheese. I want it all! Testaccio feel more like a market where locals shop, and some tourists, as opposed to a tourist market like Campo de FiorI So I definitely prefer Testaccio. I mean, does anyone really buy the penis shaped bottles of limoncello? And why? In addition to sticking up on grocery items, you can have lunch here because several stalls sell food to order - soups, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, arancini, wine by the glass, gelato - where you can sit at a counter and eat or take it to go. There are so many varieties of prepared food that's it's perfect for groups when everyone doesn't want the same thing. I like to grab something to eat as I walk around and explore. If I was staying at a VRBO rather than a hotel, this is where I would shop so I could cook and utilize the tantalizing items available here.

Yelp
Visited this huge indoor market around mid day. It is located in a quiet Rome residential area. It consists of many individual stores similar to a flea market in the U S. There are a large variety of clothing, household, food, deli, fruit & vegetable shops. We found food stores specializing in fresh pasta, meats, cheeses, large sandwiches, pizza, cold cuts, fried foods, and fresh bread. There was a large bakery/cafe serving coffee and pastries. We had lunch consisting of an antipasto and a panini sandwich of Italian meats. Some of the booths have a small counter and seats to eat there. If you can't find it here, it doesn't exist. The prices are very reasonable compared to the shops lining the streets of Rome. It is a good idea to check their hours of operation before traveling there.

Yelp
The best part of this market is Barbara at the Vegan Food Stall (box 83). She was so thoughtful and friendly guiding us through her various and very delicious vegan cheeses. We bought four different kinds (she cut off larger pieces in her case) plus vegan crème fraise. We also bought yummy peanut butter. Go visit!

Yelp
Very cool market, we came here on a walking "foodie" tour on the Testaccio. This was the birthplace of pasta, carbonara, most likely the best food on the planet; well, maybe tide for the best! Such an amazing neighborhood such a cool restaurant. We had a trial of several of their foods, but nothing compares to the pasta carbonara. the Ritz Carlton, this ain't butt that's like complaining that there aren't enough trees and grass in Jerusalem. Take a walking tour through this neighborhood and eat this food. It is more than worth it!

Yelp
Would I come back here again? Yes, but I wouldn't go out of my way just for this unless the group I'm worth love outdoor markers. The testachio market is an open/semi-outdoor market where you can buy fruit/vegetables, deli meat, clothing/purses, specialty food/spices/goods, and try amazing food. It's not a huge market but it's worth doing a 30min stroll. Great spot to come to if the people you're with all want to eat something different. There is pasta, pizza, sandwiches, fruit, coffee, and more. If you in the area, I would recommend stopping by here. This market is more authentic and used by locals, whereas Campo dei Fiori market is much smaller and is pandering to tourists (ie, Mercato is more superior than Campo) Don't come early unless you want to buy groceries. Things start opening around 10am, but would recommend coming around 10:30am

Yelp
We did a food tour with Eating Europe here and everything was delicious! We hope to go back to buy unique gifts for those back home as we saw many lovely things in stalls adjoining food stalls. The vendors were all very welcoming. You can also buy ripe fruits and veggies. Bathroom were clean, with soap and water, definitely visit when you are in Rome.

Yelp
I was taken to this market on a food tour of Rome. I think if you are going to visit an authentic market in Rome, this would be the best choice! There are many stalls with a variety of foods like meat and cheeses, suppli (a must), local art, produce, pastries and more. BUT it's also not super touristy like the market in Campo De Fiori- that market really didn't impress me because it was the same vendors selling the same products over and over ( if I see another penis pasta I swear to god lol). At this market, I saw way more locals because Testaccio is just not a really tourist hub. It was perfect!

Yelp
Not enough vendors to make this place lively! Adequate merchants. They have pasta, suppli, meat shop, clothes, fruits and the basic necessities one would find at a market. I gravitated towards the healthy juice drinks and Aracini for some local suppli tries! There was the pasta and sandwiches that I wanted to do as well, but too much carbs for one setting! Live band music was playing, which made the place more festive!

Yelp
Super cool. Diferrents food and stores. Really recommend. In the heart of the neighborhood.

Yelp
We felt very fortunate to be brought here on a food tour, which meant we had some up-close encounters and tastings with several of the amazing vendors, such as the Husband & Wife who have been doing cheese together for over two decades. We got to feast our eyes on a colorful array of the freshest produce, meats, cheeses and more. A definite highlight of our tour and a place we would undoubtedly frequent regularly if we lived nearby.

Yelp
A quiet taste of real Rome with regular Romans doing their shopping, getting breakfast and lunch, etc. Nothing there is exceptional, but it's all good, and the normality of it is its charm. Go there to see regular Romans being Roman, and get a little pizza and pastry.

Yelp
Love this market. We had a great time trying out a few different food stalls and buying some fruits at the grocery stands. Everything is very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
My siblings, my spouse and myself just spent some time in Rome. Among the great things we were able to do was to visit the Market in Testaccio. It is a big, colorful, sometimes loud market with lots of things going on. We were visiting the Market with a friend and his family. He is a chef in Rome and knows almost everyone at the Market so our visit was made even more colorful. We were there after 6:00pm and we were able to eat dishes from various venders that were still open. The Market was packed and there was a live concert going on and lots of people attending the show. Of interest is that the market was recently expanded and some historically significant artifacts were found which are going to be preserved and open to the public for viewing. Near the Market is a "mountain" of clay debris piled up over the ages from clay vessels used to ship many good for consumption in Rome. It is well worth the effort of a visit.

Yelp
Testaccio market moved to brand new premises a few years ago, and nostalgia aside, it's a vast improvement. The market hall, which lets in natural light with its mix of open and covered areas, is clean and bright with a slightly north African influence in its architecture. The stalls are easy to navigate, although the corridor layout gives you a limited view of the whole market. As usual with markets, it can take a bit of time to find the stands you want to frequent, but I've generally encountered honest prices and quality produce. There's also a lovely square in the middle with tables and a coffee bar, where you can gather with friends and eat anything acquired in the market. All in all, it's great for a touristy wander or some serious food shopping. The street food offer also keeps going from strength to strength, so it's starting to become a real destination for folk seeking good quality, quick lunches at appropriate prices.

Yelp
Great authentic experience. You can grab a sandwich at Mordi e Vai and then stock up on essentials for eating at home. We bought olives, bread, oranges, and sweets and enjoyed them all. In particular, try the hazelnut and honey cake at the bakery stand toward the center of the market. Only downsides are the hours and the beggars, who were out in force on Saturdays. Our method was to buy clementines and hand them out instead of money. Worked like a charm.

Yelp
This market was recommended in a Wash Post article. We liked it and enjoyed local non-pizza/pasta foods (Italian beef, farro pesto dish, deep fried rice balls). The vegan stand sold delicious veggie burgers on colorful homemade buns :) We also stopped at a couple of resale/antique/art stalls and purchased a few gifts for our family. This market is not close/walkable from where we were staying and is probably only worth 1-2 hours of a day and only if you're in Rome for more than 3 days.

Yelp
As a tourist you Can find stalls which sell some food you can immediately eat. And also few wine sellers. Other stalls have clothes, shoes and big selection of meats fruits etc.

Yelp
Great market. They close at 2pm. Went there for lunch and had the famous sandwiches and pizza.

Yelp
You've got to go with someone in the know here, either with a local or through the Eating Italy tour. There are some amazing spots - the Dess'Art cannoli was amazing! I would recommend finding the busy sandwich dude in the corner if you go unaccompanied.
