We booked online and were advised to ask for either an outside table or a window seat. On arrival, we were given an outside table. Yes, it was November, but the restaurant thoughtfully provides blankets on each chair, so we were perfectly comfortable. In fact, we had the entire terrace to ourselves—no one else was brave (or silly!) enough to join us. The reward? Stunning views of Prague Castle and the city’s rooftops, a truly magical backdrop for dinner.
We began with the avocado and tomato tartare, which was divine. It may sound unusual, but the toasted bread with garlic oil served alongside was light, crispy, and so delicious it elevated the whole dish. A fantastic start!
The gluten-free beer was another pleasant surprise—tasty and refreshing.
For mains, we tried two dishes:
• Potato goulash – hearty, warming, and full of flavour.
• No-beef sirloin with bohemian dumplings and svičková sauce – this was the star of the evening. It was unbelievably rich and “meaty” in taste, easily the most convincing plant-based dish i’ve ever had. The dumplings and sauce were the perfect pairing, making this a plate of pure comfort and indulgence.
We left genuinely impressed. Vegan’s Prague is a restaurant we would recommend to absolutely anyone—vegan, vegetarian, or carnivore. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere unique, and the views unforgettable.
Do note: to reach those views, you’ll need to climb a fair few steps. But trust us, it’s worth every one.
⭐ Highly recommended!
