Vegetarian Food Studio

Absolutely incredible food. Authentic Indian food. This is a hidden gem. The best place I’ve eaten in a long time. Fresh home made food and very reasonably priced. I will be coming back.

The food is outstanding, it's so clean and tidy, and the art is beautiful, the staff are lovely and friendly.

Really tasty food and great value. We got two thalis and the dahi puri. I loved the dahi puri, and both were very generous portions! Would recommend. I liked that the masala chai came with sugar separately, so you can choose how much you add.

Although im not a vegetarian, I thought i would try the food studio. The food was very reasonably priced l. I went for the sharing platter to start and the taster platter for a main. Parking is on road.

I had an amazing experience today with Gujarati food at India Restaurant. The flavors were authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Every dish reminded me of true Gujarati hospitality—simple, soulful, and full of warmth. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. Holy sh*t I've never had a worse experience eating food in Cardiff. I eat out every day and have been to every Indian place in the hood, never have I seen anyone charging a MANDATORY service charge for dine in customers. I would've been fine paying it if the food was any good. Sadly that was a highly disappointing affair. Tried their Dosa, bhajia, samosa and chili pakora. The service was terrible, waiter forgets our stuff when the place was EMPTY. And above all, overpriced to oblivion.

I was in Cardiff to meet with a dear friend and his wife who were visiting Cardiff from India. Whose diet was vegertrian. I chose this restaurant using the words 'vegetarian restaurant near me'. I was so pleased that I this place. My friends were delighted with the food that was cooked the Maharashtraian way. I chose poori (a fried flatbread), which made in Maharashtraian way (with methi leaves & jeera) served with channa (chickpeas). I would recommend this ... It transported me to my lunchbox during my childhood in India. The service was good. The atmosphere was like a restaurant in India.

Try it (it's good value) & amazing quality. Definitely amongst the best Indian restaurants I've ever tried (and probably the cheapest). No British-Indian here, this is as authentic as it gets & as flavoursome too! In keeping with that it doesn't serve alcohol, but BYO is fine, and it's vegetarian. As any meat-eater (and veggie) who's eaten here will testify - why can't all veggie food taste like this! Order early if taking-away, they're very sensitive to neighbours' concerns about noise/parking, so they close v promptly!

The best Indian food I have ever had in my life. Possibly even best FOOD I've ever had! Almost didn't go as I thought I was in the wrong place. Looks can be deceiving as I almost left after standing out the front of a very average looking building. However felt right at home as soon as I entered the door. I was greeted immediately by the friendly owner and staff and told about the menu and recommendations. After ordering food and drinks arrived quickly and looking around the rest of the restaurant I could tell everyone was being treated like royalty. When the food arrived my mind was blown, I had ordered £7 worth yet was given a huge array of breads, rice, curry, soup and a dessert, all of which was fantastic. I cannot recommend VFS enough, I'm even considering going back to Cardiff this weekend just so I can come back here!

I've been disappointed . The dosa could really do with more filling, and their sambar/dall is warm and tasteless, instead of hot and spicy to compliment the dosa. Their chats all have the same yellowish sauce smothered over them, which is awful. Ambience is great though
