Great vegetarian place. The Crispy Buffalo Chicken sandwich was awesome, the fries were nice and crispy and the service was very good. My friend had the Buffalo Chicken wrap that was also very good. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in and helped right away. The prices were very reasonable, the place was clean and the music wasn’t blasting. Highly recommended.

Great food and friendly service!! I've visited a few times and the food and service have always been great. It's more of a fast food style option, similar to a cafe style where you order at the counter, they give you a number, and then bring you your food once it's ready.

Great spot for vegan and vegetarian food with lots of options they include burgers, sandwiches, salads, and Mexican food. They also have a few desert options and kids meals. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a regular customer of Veggie Grill in Carlsbad—until today. While eating my burger, I found something absolutely disgusting: a fingernail inside my food. I was in shock. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about hygiene and food safety in their kitchen. I can’t believe this happened, and needless to say, I will never order from this place again. I used to really enjoy their food, but after this experience, I’ve completely lost trust in how they handle their meals. I hope they take this seriously and improve their standards before something worse happens to someone else.

I’ve been going to this location for years and it’s only gotten better. The menu keeps evolving in the best way possible and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Hope Veggie Grill opens another location in central San Diego like their UTC location before.

One of my favorite vegan restaurants! If there is one in the area I usually stop. I also have DoorDashed when I’m staying in Orange County. I love their hamburgers. The one I had today was their steakhouse burger that had steak sauce and blue cheese, of course all vegan. It was very tasty. I also love their nachos. It doesn’t have that fake vegan cheese taste and there’s plenty of heat on these. The chips have a nice crunch that holds up with the sauce on it. My wife ordered the Ruben which I’ve had before and it is very tasty. Overall this is a great restaurant chain and if you are vegetarian or vegan I would highly recommend it.

If you’re in the Carlsbad Village area for the day or the beaches in Carlsbad, you can visit the Veggie Grill nearby. You can take Carlsbad Blvd south and keep going on Palomar Airport Rd for about a mile a you’re there. It’s a nice area with plenty of parking nearby since Costco is close to it. It can get busy at times because of the Costco gas lines. I like the variety of plant based foods at all Veggie Grills. The loaded nachos are good for sharing with someone or a group. The bowls are a good size and you can get tortilla chips to compliment them. They have seating inside and out which makes it convenient to find a spot to eat. Their customer service is excellent every time that I have gone in. I’m sharing photos of the 7 layer bowl which is great with chips. Also, their classic romaine salad which is nice to share too. My wife ordered the Cajun Fish Sandwich which she enjoyed too.

Food is excellent. Have been to this location three times and each time tables hadn’t been cleared of the dishes of previous customers. So many dirty tables is off setting. You need to hire more people to keep the place looking inviting. I’m usually there on weekends.

The Ranchero Fiesta Bowl is probably the most satisfying meal here. You get tons of flavor, plus it's well rounded with color and planty goodness - rice, beans, a little ground veggie crumble, pickled onions, avocado, salsa, and tortilla chips! You really won't regret it. Veggie Grill staff forgot to ask if I would like utensils for my takeout (which I ordered at the counter), and I also forgot.. we were planning to eat our lunch by the beach. Instead of driving back, we stopped by the McDonald's down the street for a drink, French fries (because why not?), and a fork.

Veggie grill had great seasonal items and promotions on their app. I tried their October special which was the mean green franken burger. It had great flavor and sauce, and their pumpkin spice cake was moist and delicious! The cooks are always on point with fast food preparation and presentation even for takeout. The times I have been inside, there have been only been a few people working so the dining room was not cleaned of dirty plates timely. I usually order my food to go but I will always come back to veggie grill when I'm in the area.

My first time trying veggie grill. There's a lot of extra effort that that goes into making vegan food to try to get it to look and taste like non-vegan food. For example the vegan sunny side up egg on the sunriseh mochi Burger was very impressive with runny yolk that tasted close to the real thing. Food was served hot and freshly prepared by an attentive employee. Seating is also available outdoors at this location. Worth a try even if you're not vegan!

It was my first time here and I was wildly impressed. I'm not a vegan but I have a ton of respect for vegans. It's better for the planet and it's better for overall personal health. And I have a lot of respect when vegan food tastes great. You have to try harder to make vegan food taste great to non-vegans. The decor is very attractive inside and they have real plates, real silverware, and hard plastic glasses. So, it's a step up from most fast casual joints. The Buffalo Bomber is a very nice (fake) buffalo chicken sandwich. It comes with lettuce, tomato, ranch, and pickles that give the sandwich a nice snap. It's got a little bit of heat but nothing crazy. It's not an amazing sandwich but it's about as good as any similar buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had which was made with real chicken. The chicken substitute here looks and tastes like real chicken. I'm not a big salad guy but the Caesar Crunch Salad was fantastic. It's made with kale and ciabatta croutons. The salad is wonderfully fresh and is obviously made with high quality ingredients. It's absolutely delicious. I would choose this sandwich for a meal any time and I never get salads as my main meal. Counter service was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking in the lot but there is always parking available nearby because of the Costco parking lot. There is great food here, whether you are vegan or not.

I came upon this place by accident by just getting my free bday bundtlet right next door. I'm a life long vegetarian so didn't have any expectations. I ordered the Far East Thai Chikn Bowl. It was delicious. The perfect portion size too. Prices are a little high but they pretty much are that high everywhere. I loved the fresh veggies mixed with the sauce and crunch of the sesame seed chikn.

Ordered the smoked mushroom burrito for about the 5th time. It's the best!!! The chocolate cake was delicious too! Love this place!!!

This place always hits the spot. Everything i've had here is great, flavorful, fresh, and affordable. All of this keeps my mom and I coming back, especially because there's always deals. I was sad to see the UTC location shut down, so hoping this one stays open

All vegan & vegetarian with plant-based meat substitutes, but you wouldn't know it by looking at or tasting food. We ordered the mushroom tacos, comes with two corn tortilla tacos. Great if you have a light appetite & earn want something small & the Chicken Bacon burger. Both served warm & fresh. Tasty. Both worthy of ordering again. Fast friendly service lots of booth seating. Easy parking. A great option for the health-conscious , vegetarian and vegan. Family and kid friendly.

SoCal's OG veggie comfort food; still a classic and still never disappoints. Places like this make my world go round! My favorite is the Santa Fe Chick'n.

I loved this place! After a recent visit leaving me extremely sick with some CV strand I have never experienced I will NEVER RETURN! Beware and eat at your own risk! I was out for over a week! With weird liver processing problems I have never had or seen. And went away after a few days. I know because it was the only food I had aside from fruit for days. A trip prior had found bugs on the lettuce!

Got my mom a mushroom burger and they ran out of Patti's that are mushroom based BUT the beyond substitute with the sautéed mushrooms on top was so damn good that my mom got it for lunch and dinner! Food also never makes you feel too bloated so great service substitute and ambiance was relaxing!

We got the Nashville Hot Chick'n sandwich, carne asada loaded fries, and the Original burger. Everything was fantastic and portions were enormous! We enjoyed it so much after going to Legoland we came back the next day! Plenty of parking, good service, lots of booths for our family to sit in

I love veggie grill and was really sad when they closed their san diego space :( I come here whenever I go to legoland and always love their offerings. The service is super good, too. Wish they bring back their san diego restaurant soon in some location closer to me.. would ove to visit them often if they open again in san diego or poway :)

As a gluten free person, I was so excited to try this location. I was extremely disappointed when I bit down on the sandwich and the bread fell apart in my hands. The bun was dryer than Las Vegas in the summer! I couldn't finish it so I decided to get another bowl & I was not impressed with the beans. The bowl was better but I think the continued disappointment made me lose my appetite. The service was good, when I was asking questions the person wasn't very helpful but they answered the best the could which I appreciated. My partner on the other hand loved their regular burger! So their food isn't bad but their gluten free buns are! The location is in a nice place and it was pretty inside. I don't think I'll be coming back but please know their regular burgers are small but delicious.

Great eatery. Reasonable prices and really good food. I always order two fish tacos, which are delicious. I think they were $9.98. They're pretty big. Hope you'll try them they're next to the gas station at Costco polar airport Road

Amazing vegan food. I recommend the steak quesadilla. The cheese tastes better than real cheese. Also the customer service was excellent and the place was clean.

As a vegetarian restaurant connoisseur myself I love coming here. I can always find something new and interesting to try.

Was so disappointed in this place, was looking for a vegan place after all day at Legoland and this didn't satisfy unfortunately. We tried a bunch of things and they were all bland and lacking flavor and uniqueness, super sad and I was hoping for better.

The pictures speak for themselves. I feel such bliss after enjoying this meal and I wish the same onto others. The ambiance is perfect and feels nostalgic. Would go just for fries and a lemonade.

Really good vegan staple when we are out in Carlsbad, everything on the menu is good. Cauliflower bites and Mac and cheese are definitely the best, but I try a different thing every time and I always enjoy it. Really great staff, they are eager to answer questions or provide help. Super clean and well lit interior, with good outside seating.

I ordered the Veggie Grill house salad along with the Harvest Bowl. Both were 5 stars and a must try. Very healthy and very tasty. The harvest Bowl comes with grilled tamari mushrooms, roasted butternut squash,turmeric cauliflower, and red beets. Server over ancient grains and chipotle marinated greens. The veggie grill house salad comes with kale, baby spinach, cabbage, carrot mix. Topped with pickled cucumbers, tomatoes, and sunflower seeds. I will order both again in the future. The service was excellent. The employees who work here definitely stand out from the rest. A professional establishment with an assortment of healthy eating options.

For a non vegan person, I wouldn't be mad if I got to eat some of the food from their menu :) I order a Southwestern Nachos & 2 of the Santa Fe Chikin' Burger. Not disappointed but also I have already lower my expectation ( not in a bad way, but sometimes we have to, to avoid unnecessary bad feelings lol ) They are clean & service was pretty okay. I paid $32 plus change; fair price and quite a nice alternative to start a new year new me lolol Cheers!

I like the concept here and I used to like the food, specifically the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. But now that they've discontinued it, I'm not a fan. I've had their bowls, and their Buffalo and Santa Fe chicken sandwiches. Not great. Even with their BOGO offer, it's not worth it. No Nashville sandwich = no more visits from me.

I love veggie grill! Everything I've had has been so delicious, fresh and so healthy! The menu is pretty big with lots of different options to choose from. The bowls are also my go to. They are so good and packed with so much flavor. I love how healthy this place is, and it all tastes great! Perfect for after work out meal or just because.

Food was exactly what I wanted and needed. I came by this afternoon and I have to say I really appreciated the customer service. The gentleman up front was warm and welcoming. Looking forward to come back again

I came here looking for mas veggie taqueria, because I really wanted to try their mushroom tacos. This was where the address google maps lead me too. Upon entering I thought I was in the right place until I started to look at the menu and saw nothing about tacos or anything remotely Mexican. I was kindly greeted by the staff, and decided to try the vegan cookies and a small lentil soup. The cookies were decent 3 came in the order, but the lentil soup though smelled like it was going to be awesome was rather off. I'm not sure what it was but there was a flavor in it that immediately put me off. So not a fan of the soup. As I left I re examined the address to see if I miss read it and drove around the complex again once more to realized that yes that was the same address for "mas veggie taqueria". Once I drove away I went onto the actual website to see if they had closed down or something, and found out in very small print.... that they only basically do delivery and if you order online you can pick up... wait for it....AT the VEGGIE GRILL! Hmmm... so correct me if I'm wrong.... wouldn't the nice thing to do to help your customers out is have some sort of a sign letting them know that either it's 2 restaurants in one... or even a small sign saying, " mas veggie taqueria pick up"! Very frustrating from a customers point of view.

We love Veggie Grill! For a couple with one vegan person and one who is not - they have delicious and healthy options for both of us! Really nice and caring staff - very professional!

Hard to give a bad review to such a great place, but it's a pretty big fail when a restaurant thinks it can improve on something that's already good, or even perfect, and ruin it completely: Such as adding kale to a Caesar salad...there is NO KALE in Caesar salad! You had it so perfect before you made the ill-fated decision to add kale to this! You have to know how to properly prepare kale to make it palatable when serving raw for a lot people, such as removing the ribs, and that wasn't even done. $10 is a lot to pay for a salad that you can't eat. Wish I'd known you'd changed the recipe before I ordered this, but who could know you'd do such a foolish thing! Terribly dissapointed.

Veggie Grill is a classic for vegetarians and vegans alike. While the competition has increased, Veggie Grill remains a solid and consistent option. Been to this location a few times and have always had a good experience. While consistent, I did notice the Caesar salad has slightly evolved into a pretty basic, mostly romaine, skeleton of what it once was - oh well. The food is always good (I wouldn't say great), it caters not only to vegetarians and vegans but also to the general population, and it's reliable. Will continue visiting Veggie Grill locations here and there when in need, and I appreciate them for being there for it.

Fantastic "fish" tacos. You'll eat both--no sharing they're so yummy! Get both red & green salsa. All vegan. Skip the flavorless mac n cheez. Clean. Friendly staff. Great ambience. Comfortable & private booths. Good place to read or chill over a meal. Reasonable prices.

First off, some facts: my wife dragged me here against my will, I am a meat eater, and my expectation was the food would suck. I was wrong. So wrong that I feel the need to write a review of how fantastic the food was. This place completely changed my view of vegan. Great job! Too bad we don't have something like this where I live.

Ordered the house veggie burger and 7 layer burrito. House veggie burger: moist and flavorful. I would order this again! 7 layer burrito: can't say no to avocado! lots of flavor and portions are perfect!

SERVICE The service here was excellent! Kirsten offered great suggestions and we were taken care of! Kamryn was also very kind, noticed me looking around taking pics, asked if I needed anything, etc. Such friendly, warm service! FOOD/DRINKS VG Classic w sweet potato fries Chocolate parfait Avocado bacon croissant So I was in a bit of a hurry so I ordered my food to go. When I got home which was 10 to 15 minutes later, the food was still warm and the veggie classic was excellent. But the sweet potato fries, oh my goodness. One of my top three best sweet potato fries. Definitely go check them out. The chocolate parfait chocolate pudding with Oreo crumbs and a dollop of whipped cream, heaven in a bowl. I ordered the avocado bacon croissant for breakfast tomorrow so I will update this and let you know how that tastes. The fact that this is all plant-based food blows my mind, not only have they done it but they have done it right. They even have gluten-free options! RESTROOMS Clean, elegant decor OVERALL They have excellent food and great service. The restaurant was beautiful. We felt taken care of and appreciated. The staff was wonderful, they all worked together and had an Wonderful, laid-back vibe that created a memorable experience. Great food and service. They got a nice decor in side with nice lamps. They have a colorful decoration one the wall, kind of like a rainbow color scheme. The Buffalo burger was good, wasn't too spicy nor did it have too much ranch. I added the sweet and sour sauce on it and thought it tasted better. The cali flower bites were good and went best with the sweet and spicy. The Buffalo sauce was too over powering and too hot without the mixture of ranch. The other customers even were super friendly and gave us recommendations on what to get. This place is definitely not something I would eat everyday because the price was about $20. Great selection of beers also. Due to covid they don't have their drink machine working.

I've been to this location a number of times and the food is consistently great. I'm always greeted by a friendly face and hospitality. I'd only suggest they keep the outside tables a bit more clean, but otherwise would highly recommend!

First time coming to this establishment. I have been trying to eat better and the salad I ordered and enjoyed was so very good. Quinoa, kale beets and other stuff topped with Buffalo "chicken" was very good. There was plenty of food. You need to try this little hidden jem. I ordered online and put in a specific time and it was ready. I'll be back.

I ordered the classic burger without onions it wasn't made fresh. The bun was stale and the burger was cold the tell tale sign was the look of the cheese on the burger was discolored. It was very disappointing especially with this being my first visit to the restaurant. I had a better burger from the habit burger even Burger King impossible king. I will not be going back to this restaurant and will stick with Plant Power or Evolution.

Amazing food, wonderful customer service, clean environment, nice quality healthy food. Great management. Really appreciated and enjoyed our evening here.Cynthia was amazing! We would definitely come back. Highly recommend day appetizer hot wings. The sauce is absolutely delicious. The drinks are fantastic wonderful assortment of lemonades and Ice-T's. The kids menu is wonderful. So nice not to have to throw a bunch of animal product on everything.

I have been coming here for over two years now and while I love the fact that everything is vegan, there have been some changes to their dining experience. First off, portion sizes have significantly decreased. The French fries on an entree are no larger than a kids meal portion. The kids meal "chicken nuggets" were overly breaded and appeared smaller in size from what I recall. The carrot cake offered to kids is now the size of an average cupcake. I continue to love the quinoa and veggie burger but they no longer offer the, "bad boy style," which makes me sad. I used to get full off of eating their food and now I'm left hungry. The prices have also gone up, considering they have added some big names like Beyond Meat to their entrees. I still love their chipotle ranch dip which is great with just about everything. However, this place is no longer 5 stars. The increasing prices and smaller portion sizes are a game changer for me. We paid $40 for 2 entrees, 2 drinks and a kids meal, that didn't fill us up. Sadly, we probably won't be back for a while. But it's still a great place for people wanting to try out vegan fast food or those not wanting to stress about dietary restrictions. Their menu is always changing- this could be a good or bad thing as some of my favorites are no longer offered. Lately though, when I've tried new foods, I've been disappointed. So, I won't be trying anything new when and if I return.

I always like to check Veggie Grill for their seasonal specials. Their food seems to feel healthier than eating Native Foods (but I am also a big fan of Native foods as well). The only disadvantage of Veggie Grill is that the serving amount does not match how much one pays. Often when we takeaway, we open up our food with disappointment of the amount of food received. After eating the food, we aren't that full. For this reason, I recommend buying an appetizer to share along with two mains to have a good meal. Beyond Burger: tasty. But I stopped buying this when Costco started to carry the Impossible burger patties. Making this dish easier and less expensive to make. However, the different concoctions of burgers available are worth a try. I just do not go out of my way to keep ordering the burgers. Wunderbrat: disappointing serving size. Although it is good. Thai Broccoli: not too spicy. Crunchy broccoli too. Nachos: a classic starter when I'm eating with someone else. The mix of flavors used are good.
