Vela plaža Baška

Lovely beach with cristal clear water. The coast is covered in pebbles mostly. Depending on which area of the beach is visited, it can be child friendly, however the water becomes deep quickly. Plenty of sunbeds are available for renting. After visiting, immediately became my favourite pebble beach.

Amazing beach and friendly locals, I think is the only place where you can pay by card and locals are super nice. The beach has a long bay with little tiny stones then a few steps into the sea and is sandy. On the promenade, you'll find restaurants, pubs, cafes, souvenir shops, happy hours, kids friendly places, boat trips, parasol and bed rental possibilities, basically everything.

Beautiful place, but in the season it's just crazy crowded. Unfortunately you have to pay for everything, including toilets and showers, so that nothing in Croatia is free, when parking is already 20 Euros. Thousands of people and I hardly saw anyone going to the 1 Euro toilets, they tell me where people probably go to the toilet. I won't bathe in other people's liquids. I won't go here with my children again. Out of season, I'd give it 2 extra stars.

Great beach. You have to arrive in time if you want space at the water. Otherwise it is crowded. Great fun we had with kids 10 and 8 yo.

Generally overreated in high season,but was worth to visit. Outside is crushed stone,inside is sand,waves are pretty much strog and water was warm. Parking is everywhere actually and we paid 1h/1€ so that was decent with price As a Croatian I felt as foreigner because 95% of people there are not from Croatia so high prices of food and drink is normally there... The best comparation as my gf said is very similar of beach Cancun/Mexico.

The only downside is that there are no free public showers !!! Unless you pay 1 euro and the sea is very very salty. No free toilets either, unless you pay 1 euro. There are a lot of places where you can park, these are pay parking, and is located minimum 5 minutes uphill from the beach. Great place, friendly locals!

Too crowded. Awful! In high season no space for 2 towels. But beach is beautiful.

Amazing cyan water color. It is a narrow but very long city beach, 2km., with amazing views of the surrounding rocky mountains. Small pebble stones on the beach and very fine sand in the water. Many boutiques and restaurants for all budgets.
