If you like history, archeology, and caves, this is a good stop.
It's one open cave, don't expect an extensive "network" of caves or the like.
Awesome views of Vela Luka. And nice trail adjacent to stroll and see 2000 year old olive trees.
It's good to learn about the 20,000 year history of human habitation in the area, and the artifacts and remains unearthed.

An interesting place to visit if you want a glimpse of history. It’s not a large site — just a single cave with one main chamber. Excavations have uncovered many historical artifacts, and there are information boards explaining the findings. So far, only a small part of the cave has been thoroughly explored and excavated, but there are hopes for more funding in the future to continue the research and uncover additional historical details.
You cam come ther by car or you can walk from Vela Luka, and for that there is bit efort since the wolk is uphil around 1km but there is nice view on Vela Luka and some information boards on local plants on the way.

First of all...its cash only, so before the long walk up from the harbour...get cash!
The cave is amazing, and you can actually imagine Neolithic man living here, close to the sea, high on a hil, BBQ mammoth ( probs)
However...best thing.
The lovely lady who took pity on us silly tourists who arrived card in hand after the long walk up from the harbour....

€2 per person to enter. To get to this cave you drive up a narrow winding road and enjoy the views as to the town below as you go through terraced olive fields.
Once you reach the cave there's parking for maybe 4 cars. It's interesting to visit and imagine what it may have been like for the people who lived here 10,000 B.C.

Quite a fascinating place where there's evidence that people lived there 20,000 years ago! Archaeologists are still excavating the area and finding new things between all the layers of rocks! We came around sunset and the light was perfect through the holes in the caves. Drive a little further and you can also get great sunset shots. There is a very small entrance fee.

Hole in a ground for 4€/person and without possibility to get in with a dog. And while I can understand that pets shouldn't get in, this info should be online - not only as a sign on the gate.
