Velassaru

My husband and I stayed at Velassaru Maldives for our anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were so warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent all around. We stayed in an overwater bungalow, which was beautiful, private, and had direct access to the lagoon, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views. The resort itself is breathtaking, with crystal-clear water, soft white sand, and plenty of activities to enjoy, some of which are complimentary depending on the day. We had full board, and every meal was delicious. A special highlight was our private dinner with Chef Arnold, who was wonderful and made the evening so memorable. Velassaru truly exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect mix of luxury, tranquility, and outstanding hospitality. We can’t wait to return one day!

Just came back from Velassaru, very nice and clean hotel. Stunning waters and plenty of areas to enjoy the beach! The staff was incredible friendly and helpful! Always with a smile!

Excellent five night stay. I stayed in a deluxe bungalow for 4 and then got an upgrade as a gold HH member to an overwater bungalow. I much preferred the regular bungalow as I had a big outdoor bathroom with shower. I just loved that! Even though that didn’t have a beach view I was only a minute walk out the door to a quiet stretch of beach. I was in 136 which was just lovely. It was on the windier side of island which was fine for me. Great breakfasts. Free water for room. Slippers, flip flops and beach bag also in room. Boat ride to and from airport was easy. I got a nice welcome platter of fruit and snacks on arrival. Ice cream man goes around island giving out free ice cream twice a day. I would stay here again!!!

Amazing overall experience! Beach pool villa is impeccable, great selection of dining options, beautiful lagoon, lush vegetation and top class main swimming pool. The best part was the Velassaru team, who made us feel like home. We already plan our next visit! Shukriya

One of, if not the most amazing place we’ve ever stayed. The 4-night stay was extremely welcomed after a non-stop tour of Sri Lanka. The Deluxe Bungalow room was great, especially fell in love with the outdoor shower! Situated just 50ft from the sea the location was perfect, but that would never be an issue on such a small island! Food was incredible, we didn’t try the buffet restaurant but instead opted for ala carte at the other restaurants which were all amazing. Absolutely loved the fresh seafood and ordering buratta salads became a daily occurrence. We spent most of our days mixing between the beach and pool, but between eating and drinking it doesn’t leave much free time! The gym was well equipped and empty both times I visited. Snorkelling we managed to see some sharks, a stingray and lots of lovely fish. This place truly is paradise. We might have gotten bored if there for longer, but 4 days was perfect for us. Cannot recommend highly enough, thank you for looking after us and we’d love to return one day 😊❤️

Velassaru as the finest, from the moment we arrived till the moment we depart, they have been done fantastic service. Helpful staff, amazing water bungalow with private pool, delicious food, beautiful beach. We had our 3 days 2 nights there, and still wanting to have longer stay! Spa Manager - Titi was helping us choosing the good treatment, Spa was so good, jacuzzi was amazing. Rucira - The Restaurant Manager always taking care of us, for food and beverages arrangement. Definitely will comeback again, one day! Velassaru will always be in my heart! Thank you!!! Keep up the good works! ❤️

It was a beautiful trip our book includes a private pool and jacuzzi also we have our own beach but it’s not a 100% private The main problem that we faced is that our villa a bit far a way from the main restaurant and there are no bicycles to ride or the gulf car not allowed to be used so you have to walk all the way to main bar or restaurant every time. Every things else is very GOOD.
