Best place to stay in Cabarete. Clean and secure. Close to all of nightlife-al walkable but far enough that it's quiet when you sleep. Landscaping very well manicured and super tropical as you would expect. Pool is amazing as it is adjacent to the ocean. Restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. Great drink prices at happy hour. This is not a huge resort and staff is all very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful oceanfront property, with excellent views. Only downfall is, you have to walk several blocks to get to a usable beach.

What we reserved is not what we got. The bed showed in all pictures was standard-hieght King size, and we got a low 3 inches above ground platform one. Although it is great using eco-friendly shower dispensers, the one with the shower gel didn't work. Compliant several times, we have no success. Wind up using shampoo for everything. Nice large room, but the AC was installed in the corridor near the front door. Couldn't feel the cooling air in our sleeping area. Needed to use ceiling fan. We were given a top floor with a decent view. However, we needed to walk 3 flights of narrow spiral stairs to get to our room. Try luggage several bags through this. The only good was a large bathroom. the food was great, and the check out was 1 pm.

We spent a week here and had a great visit. We rented a 1 BR condo, it was spacious, well equipped and comfortable and has a wonderful balcony with a view of the pool and the ocean. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained.||I spent many hours by the infinity pool that looked out over the ocean and had many walks on the beach, which is right in front of the resort. We had perfect weather that certainly helped and we were able to buy groceries at Janet's, which carries everything you can imagine, a 5 minute walk.||The Sunset Grill Restaurant on the property is fantastic! We had our best meals there and they have a great Happy Hour, it was so nice to sit out on the patio and watch the sunsets with a great cocktail.||Overall, this resort is comfortable, beautiful and perfectly situated, we will definitely be back.

Nicely nestled away from the noise in Cabarete, this great gem of a location is ideal for more relaxed and quieter getaway. Not to say it doesn't get traffic. Also has a restaurant on location and is close to many other options, including a supermarket a 3 minutes walk away. Rooms are clean and well equipped, with the junior suites being my recommendation. My favourite getaway on the north coast.

Velero truly is the best here in the DR. we are on our honeymoon and unfortunately booked somewhere else originally that said they were a 4 star but was a 1 star, & Velero saved our honeymoon. They got us a room immediately & were so kind to us. Great resort, great prices, gorgeous views, on the beach, amazing pool and staff, great restaurant services. We would absolutely book here again!! Highly recommend!!!

The Cabarete atmosphere is laid back and you will see a mix of tourists and locals. This resort is walking distance to all the restaurants/bars (literally on the sand) in Cabarete beach. The resort only includes breakfast at their restaurant, but the menu has a good variety. We also had lunch and dinner there and the food was very good. They also have happy hour, so don't miss out on that while your poolside. The resort is relatively quiet meaning no loud music (just maybe some low music in the background for atmosphere). This resort is to get away and relax, but if you do what to do something, they have pamphlets in the reception area with info about excursions you can do. There is also a place on the main strip where the restaurants/bar are where you can get more info on excursions. Note that the resort has beach are just in front of it that when we've gone in December and May its underwater, but in September it's a really nice sanding beach. This is not a big deal though since when its underwater you just walk out to the main street and head towards the restaurants to cut through one of them to get to the beach. I have found vacationing in this area is very affordable. This just one of the many places to visit in DR. The island is beautiful.

We spent a quiet relaxing week at this scenic location. Everything was wonderful except our climb up the spiral staircase to our third floor room. Perhaps we over imagined the abilities of two people in their 70’s. Rooms were made up and cleaned daily before noon. The rate includes an a la carte breakfast at the Sunset Grill. The pool was clean and refreshing. We never lacked access to the sun loungers as well. The beach in front of the hotel has been annexed by the ocean, so you need to walk a bit to find a sandy place to be.
