I love this store and I wish it was in California! I bought a few items on my most recent trip to Seattle for a friends birthday. They wrapped them beautifully and carefully. They have a beautifully curated inventory with lots of unique items. They were closed on my last day in Seattle and I wasn’t able to pop back in and buy a few things that I decided I couldn’t leave without so I placed an order online and the shipping was fast and the packaging was beautiful. If you are in town visiting or live in Seattle I highly recommend stopping in and if not, check out their online store!

I found my way to Velouria thanks to a stylish friend who tipped me off to Cat and Chika's beautifully curated collection. I've been hooked ever since. I love the easy-to-wear styles and gorgeous fabrics, and I especially appreciate the sizing tips and videos on the website. Of course, popping by the storefront is always a treat, as well. Cat and Chika are so lovely (and helpful), and they make shopping at Velouria the best.

Shopping at Velouria is always a delight but it's been more than just that for me as a fat femme - it has helped me reclaim my body trust. Living in a larger body has sometimes meant experiencing discrimination and open hostility at other stores while just trying to find comfortable, stylish clothes, but the crew at Velouria has always gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome and safe. Private shopping appointments and detailed measurements of garments, excellent fit tip videos--all of this gave me the confidence to begin modeling plus sizes for the store on occasion! (I'm compensated for modeling but not for this review.) While the selection is limited, it is thoughtful, and every single garment they bring in is incredibly well-made and worth the investment. Every shopping experience should be this great!

Velouria is definitely one of my favorite boutiques in Seattle. I've worn their clothes for the full spectrum -- weddings, interviews, and just casually out and about -- and I always get compliments. Chika and Cat are always so friendly and helpful and have even gone out of their way to open up for a shopping appointment for me outside of their normal hours. Everything is so cute and comfy, and almost all dresses, skirts, and pants I've tried on have had pockets. Definitely a great find!

I love Velouria so much! They carry some of my favorite lines and I adore everything I've purchased from them. I don't live in Seattle, so mostly order online and it's so easy (the fit videos are genius and SO helpful!! -everything I've ordered has fit perfectly). I also love Velouria because I try to only buy ethically manufactured goods, and want quality pieces that I can wear a long time. I know anything I buy from Velouria has been thoughtfully selected and vetted. It just makes me so happy to shop here!

Beautifully curated shop! I appreciated detailed product descriptions and videos to make it easier to shop online. Cat and Chika are very personable and provide wonderful customer service. I'm so happy with my purchase!

Google
One of my favorite boutiques in Seattle! Amazing curation of high quality handmade goods. Every dress I’ve bought from their shop has pockets (ladies, you know why this matters). The staff are all lovely, warm, and helpful people. Your dollars are well spent patronizing Velouria. Bonus - curbside pick-up is available which is helpful since parking can get scarce in the area.

Google
the best place to shop in Seattle, slow fashion, ethically sourced goods made in North America. everything I buy from Velouria is a staple that lasts for years, and Cat and Chika are the best shop-runners and kindest people you can find

Yelp
I first read about Velouria in I believe the Seattle Met article Seattle's 100 Best Little Shops. I then stumbled across it during one of my lunch break walks (okay, I didn't stumble, I looked for it). It's connected to Cone and Steiner, right next door to Quality Athletics around SoDo/end of P.Square. Anyway, they have lots of unique gifts, jewelry, body products and clothing. My favorite things here are their cute, hand-crafted mugs with vaginas or sayings like f$%# and other bleepy type sayings. I recently got two pairs of the cutest, most comfortable leggings for a relatively decent price (~$32). Besides being cute, they are holding up warmly in today's 30+ degree weather. Some of the other things are more pricey, but everything there appears to be of great quality. One of the owners, who I've seen there both times I've been in, is really friendly and helpful. Very sweet. I'll probably be back for more leggings and one day a vagina mug. Stop in and check it out!

Yelp
Not another customer in sight while I looked around. Both employees were actively engaged in conversation with each other at the register. They glanced at me but neither bothered to say hi or move to offer any assistance. A random mixture of a small selection of ladies clothes and home decor and gifts. Nothing unique, overpriced and bare bones. Attached to Cone and Steiner, I came through after visiting there.

Yelp
I haven't been into Velouria, but I follow them on Instagram. I can't remember how I found them, but I liked the styling, the outfits, and the variety of models. Recently, I ordered clothes online. Cat and Chika communicated with me about shipping costs (making a swap that saved me money) and fit. I returned what didn't fit or that I didn't feel great in and ordered a pair of Rebe overalls. Again, we chatted about fit. I love them! And I appreciate all the patience and effort Cat and Chika put into my long distance sale. Seattle, you're lucky to have a pair of thoughtful and stylish women running a store in your midst.

Yelp
I love this place. They have a rotating selection of high quality goods by amazing artists here in Seattle and beyond. Their limited quantities keep things fresh. I love that every time I am, I find new one-of-a-kind jewelry, all of the cards (!!!!!) and practical clothing (uh, pockets!!) made from fabrics and in prints and colors that are highly versatile.

Yelp
Fun shop with local designers. Clothing is priced $50-250. I can usually find things in my price point, and just picked up an amazing sweater on the sale rack. Small shop. Fun styles. The first time I went, the map showed it in Jackson, but it is one block south on King, sharing the Cone & Steiner store. They are starting to stock larger sizes also (XXL XXXL) which helps with my gift giving.

Yelp
Velouria is one of my favorite place in the city to shop. Why? -beautiful store -unique clothes and accessories that I can't find anywhere else, but not so delicate that I can't wear them to work at my spa. 80 percent of my closet is vintage, but when I want new, Velouria always has what I need. - very inviting to people of all shapes and sizes. -fun location -most important owned, curated, operated by two lovely women who make it part of their business to support others in the community! Go visit!

Yelp
This place is THE BEST- and a great asset to our city - looking for well made, great fitting, sustainable fashion. Nooworks is my favorite one-but lots of local and US designers represented. Keep the li'l shops alive! SHOP LOCAL.

Yelp
I visited Velouria for the first time yesterday, while out doing last minute Christmas gift shopping. At first it was a little tricky to find - the map and/or address seems a little off - but I walked further down King and found it attached to Cone & Steiner (a great pairing!). The shop is beautiful and well-organized, with a lot of lovely natural light to complement its clean, spare aesthetic. It's absolutely piled with gorgeous, unique offerings, from homewares to jewelry to clothing. Definitely more here to please those of the feminine persuasion; my boyfriend was quickly bored (but he hates shopping, so..). Although the prices are higher than my budget allowed this time around, the quality seems worth the price and I know I'll be back when my finances have recovered from the holiday season.

Yelp
Love this perfect little store!!! The girls who own/work there are not only adorable but super friendly and helpful. Just what PSQ needed. Great jewelry and scarf collection!

Yelp
Velouria is so great--an independent shop run by women supporting US- and Canada-based independent designers. I shop at Velouria mostly online given I'm located in San Francisco, but visit regularly when I'm in Seattle. Whether in person or via email, they offer A+ customer service, are super friendly, and sell gorgeous, high-quality, stylish goods.

Yelp
Cat, Chika, and the entire Velouria team have done a remarkably consistent job making me feel like I'm part of their customer family. I enjoy my visits to this shop and am always compelled to explore all the things! Hands down some of my most cherished apparel pieces come from here -- cropped pants, overalls, a man repelling over-sized onsie, a wool pull over, a long fleece coat -- and I feel confident every time I wear them.

Yelp
I am so glad Velouria now calls Pioneer Square home. At first, I worried I wasn't Lena Dunham enough to pull off their look. (True confession: I will soon turn 50!) But when I took the time to work through their conscientious collection, I realized I was wrong, wrong, wrong. I found a stylish, organic cape by Curator that looks stunning and makes me feel coltish again. I picked up one of Ananke's cut brass hair combs that simplifies my daily coiff. And I can't stop buying Frida Clements' pun prints. These are clothes and accessories produced by designers who want to green and grow the local fashion scene. Chika and Cat and all of the staff are knowledgeable without being pushy and welcoming to neighbors of all stripes and sizes. I like the stylish wit on display in their windows, too.
