Behind the Scenes of Prague's Growing Natural Wine Scene - AFAR

"Prague’s only bar devoted exclusively to natural wine, set in the hip Karlín neighborhood; it offers a cozy, unpretentious vibe and focuses on bottles sourced from within the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. There is no formal menu — the team opens around 30 different bottles daily and selects pours after consulting customers’ palate preferences. The venue also functions as a primary distributor for many Prague eateries and bars that feature natural wines." - Kat Odell

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Inside, the space felt a bit empty and lacked atmosphere—most guests seemed to prefer sitting outside. 🍷 The idea of showcasing wines from old regions and offering personal recommendations is a lovely concept, though I would have appreciated a menu for reference, even just for information. 🍷 The non-alcoholic wine resembled more of a blended smoothie and unfortunately had a thick fruit residue at the bottom, which made it unpleasant to drink. 🧀 The charcuterie board was okay and featured products from the Czech Republic. The bread was delicious, but most of the cheeses were quite hard and had overpoweringly strong flavours, which didn’t pair well with the wine.

Really nice wine bar with a great concept much like the Japanese omakase just with wine. The host brings a bottle to the table presents it and lets you taste and if you like it you can buy a glass. Prices are extremely fair and the wine is great and often very local. We had a small platter with local cheese and meat as well that was nice too.

Lovely wine bar! The staff were pretty on point with their wine suggestions after we explained our preferences. Great place to try new wines and take home some bottles!

Google
Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. The only let down was I was poured too little on one of the glass I ordered because it was the last glass of the bottle. They didn’t bother to open another bottle to top up to the proper amount. Otherwise this wine bar is really affordable.

Amazing organic, local (Eastern European) wines with knowledgeable staff. No wine list - just tell them what you’re into and they’ll find you something delicious!

Google
Love wine bars in general and this place has a big selection of wines and the staff are very helpful. Nice atmosphere to sit and drink, would have happily stayed for more drinks if we had time.

Google
Absolutely fantastic wine bar - the waiter offered us 6 tastings before we decided on our first 2 glasses, all of which were amazing. The wines are all natural, from former Austro-Hungarian territories, and only sold by the glass. Great atmosphere and decent prices for the high quality too. Don’t miss this gem.

Yelp
One of my most favorite wine tasting places in Prague. They have a great selection of interesting wines and they also serve nice little finger food to go with the wines. Definitely go with their recommendations.

Yelp
They are very much a unique place to sit and enjoy the late afternoon early-evening atmosphere. We went on a perfectly sunny evening, sat and tasted about 12 bottles of natural wines all very unique and tasty. Predominantly spent time with whites and the final glass was a chilled red that was fantastic. Service was extremely on-point and they leave you with a large magnum sized bottle of water to balance out the wine consumption and/or clear the palate. Kicked off our evening, would spend much time here if I lived in the area.

Yelp
Sorry to say: I need to correct my experiences from years back...This place does not deserve the hype anymore...yeah...you could well be served badly treated wine here - well versed arguments about organic wines do not make this better:-P. This is not about the wine selection they offer here, it is just how they do it. With wine it's sometimes necessary to talk nice and convince even, since the experience is so subjective - but if you overdo it, it's just misplaced. They are putting the proverbial lipstick on the pig and I don't need that:(
