Excellent gelato, pricier than some but gives larger scoops plus it comes with a chocolate covered waffle bit and in either a cone or adorable parfait cup. Honestly not bad for the cost considering the options and the amount/service. A massive amount of flavor options. Very very nice employees (thanks Lorenzo!)

Gelato! We love the gelato at Venchi - we've visited several outlets now and it's consistenly high quality. The flavours are delicious and the rich creamy texture is heavenly!! At €4.80 for a medium cone, it's a little more expensive than the other gelaterias but it's worth it!

What a great store! This store has all the chocolate and ice cream you need! Creamy and flavourful, with great staff to help. We were assisted by kind smiling Alicia and Alesso who served, helped and guided us to great flavours! Thank you ☺️

The venue is beautiful and the staff were very welcoming. But having had gelato at many places during my travels, I don't think you'd be missing out if you tried it somewhere else instead.

This is some of the best gelato in Rome but it is quite pricey in comparison to some equally good and less popular gelaterias! We tried the pistachio (the best of the flavours we tried), vanilla, fig (also great) and coffee. One thing you have to try is getting your cone coated in melted chocolate and dipped in crunchy nougatine pieces before they add the gelato - absolutely delicious! Their chocolate, however, is second to none. Truly the best quality and an amazing range of flavours and varieties. I recommend anything they make with pistachio, the golden caramel flavour and the white chocolate with salted nuts.

During our time in Rome, we stopped by Venchi Cioccolato e Gelato near the Pantheon — and loved it so much that we went back twice in the same day (which almost never happens for us!). The gelato was absolutely incredible. The tiramisu paired with cappuccino was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — you could really taste the espresso notes without it being overpowering. Later, we tried pistachio with tiramisu, and it was just as impressive. The pistachio tasted authentic and nutty, not artificial at all, and the creamy tiramisu complemented it beautifully. A special thank you to Veruska, who served us both times. She was warm, welcoming, and made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re near the Pantheon and craving something sweet, this place is a must-visit!

One of the best gelato places around pantheon area. I enjoyed their pistachio and strawberry gelato. Simple and flavorful. You can either get in a cup or cone. It also comes with a small waffle coin so you can use that as your spoon for sharing if you get the cone. but don't share make your party get their own because you will want to eat more after. Service is good. Fast and easy and the place, is definitely not a place to hang and chill, so it's best for you to go in and out.

11/10 chocolate crepe - better crepe than that actual Creperia I went to later on during my trip. I took mine to go and enjoyed exploring w a lil treat.

Venchi is noticeably the luxury gelato chain, but their gelato does the talking. Everyone is so friendly even though this is a very touristy location. Loved that they had chocolate (would be great as a gift) and a ton of flavors, I wasn't sure what to choose. Got the piccolo (small) that comes with 2 scoops, hazelnut and the tiramisu flavors with a free "chocolate" on top -- you're free to sample as well. Super creamy and so delicious, got gelato almost every night

Came here while wandering around to find souvenirs. Loved the variety of chocolate and while I was there why not more gelato. Definitely more commercialized since it's a popular brand in Italy but still good. Very friendly service and very organized shop even though they have so many choices. This location was closer to the Panthion.

Gelato here is very good. I got coconut, strawberry, and mango. Strawberry and mango were the best by far. If you go with the fruit flavored ones, it's more like an Italian ice which is really nice. Good place but not worth waiting because there's lots of other good places to.

I was visiting Rome on a school trip with 7 hangry kids. There was no better stop than Venchi's gelato shop. There wasn't a line when we walked in and they were quick to serve. Everyone enjoyed their gelato selection. I got a small tiramisu and it was delicious!

Venchi is a great place to stop and get gelato and souvenirs. It isn't the best gelato I've ever had but it is still very good, I actually like their chocolate a bit better than the gelato. In the chocolate/candy side of the store they have great prepacked tins to take home and give as souvenirs. Service at this store was very good and the staff was very friendly. We went around 9 pm and there wasn't a line so we were in and out very quick as well. There isn't any seating though so if you are looking to sit after you get gelato this might not be the best place for you.

Best gelato hands down in Italy. I tried 10-12 different places that makes real gelato and Venchi took the prize. The gelato is very flavorful and they add chocolate to the bottle of the cone which was just a cherry on top. Very nice interior, and they sell chocolates.

This little cute shop is located in the little alley between the Trevi fountain and the Pantheon. They have decent gelato. Their sorbet shake with whipped cream is the best. Ive never tried the whipped cream like that before and I was impressed. It wasn't too sweet and caused bloated. I've haven't tried the chocolate, but it looks like they are specialized in chocolate with a lot of options

Came in for their gelato. I ordered a cup in a small size for $3.60 and also purchased two bags of cioccolatini assorted chocolates. The service was excellent and friendly . Everyone was so happy working and pleasant. The ambiance is bright, colorful, neat and very clean. Go in and order your candies and enjoy their gelato.

So many good allergen friendly options. Some of the friendliest staff as well. The line was long but service was so fast.

A great gelato place! There's always a line to wait for. The inside is gorgeous with lots of chocolate decorations and has the classic chocolate wall. I got the stracciatella and chocolate gelato on a cone and it was so good. One of the best gelatos I had!

Well, its heaven for chocolate lovers. Its more of a gelato shop but you can buy their products too. We have tried Venchi in NYC but of course, taste in Rome was much better. My wife particularly screaming like kids. She was so happy. We had gelato, bought some chocolates for home. There was chocolate fountain behind the counter and it looks so fascinating. I always found the line but the good part is it keeps moving. The flavors are mostly centered around chocolate and creams but they do still offer fruit flavors. This was one of the best gelatos we had while in Rome! I loved how the cone had fresh poured chocolate onto it.. just tasted so so fresh. The gelato was delicious!! Highly recommend stopping in here while you're walking around Roma!

Gelato + Pantheon. Set the stage for this Roman battle steps away from the Pantheon. Pro tip, they are a chocolatier, so be sure to choose something that is chocolate-y. They have gelato but also a wide assortment of chocolates as well. Nice setup.

Prettiest and my most favorite gelato place I've been to in Rome! They have a few locations in Rome that are conveniently located near hot spots. The line gets long, but moves fairly quickly. You can use it as an opportunity to decide on what you'd like to order. I opted for the nutty/chocolatey flavors, as I'm not a fruity/sorbet person. Their gelato comes with a cup, cone or pay extra for a chocolate cone. The flavors I chose were pistachio, stracciatella and chocolate. So creamy and perfect on a hot and humid day. My favorite was the stracciatella, and the pistachio and chocolate paired so well with it. They also sell chocolates, which were delicious. All in all, pricey, but worth it.

Wow this is like walking into chocolate and Gelato heaven. It a feast for the eyes. They are very famous for their fine chocolates and it smells so good inside. The gelato is just rich and beautiful and the colors are so vivid. We started with a chocolate with whipped cream on the top and a big vanilla. I had a pistachio before which was crazy good. If you want to take fine chocolates home with you this is the shop to buy them in. They are always busy but it's worth the wait. It's a feast for the tastebuds.

Great spot to hit for a delicious chocolate crepe especially if the line across the street is too long!! The service was fast and friendly and the crepe made perfectly to order. Lots of fun chocolate merchandise to purchase. Good air conditioning during a hot heat wave in July!

How tasty!!! Venchi! Venchi!! How tasty!! Not that you need more sweetness or tastiness in Rome! Venchi do them all! Kitty corner from pantheon is this shiny bright new beaming choclati shop. And it's not just a chocolate shop. They have gelato, breakfast! Truffles!! So on!! Their chocolates are delicious and aesthetically so appealing! Even the gelatos are too. I like the truffles!! The Italian style!! So Italian style chocolate: hazelnuts from Perugia!! Pistachio from Sicily, and laguria's olive oil! Not just milk and butter. It tastes so much better too!! Overall, there are venchi everywhere (Italy that is)! And I enjoy them!! This ones the most because of the location!

Gelato was so good that we didn't order dessert at dinner so that we could savor Venchi (yep, 5 nights of Venchi). Yes you are paying slightly more then the corner gelato shop but it is sOoOo worth it! Venchi is a little taste of heaven on a chocolate dipped cone! The Cremino and chocolate were my faves!! And the service was always great! The picture of my 1.5 year-old son and 69 year-old Dad say it all! #VenchiFans

Well, it has been a year since I was last in Rome, and our first stop is Venchi. In this instance, it is the store on Via degli Orfani, near the Pantheon, and although I agree with the prevailing wisdom that nothing good can be found in touristy areas, Venchi is the exception to the rule. I really like Venchi -- great gelato, chocolate and a beautiful store. Stores, I should say. I have visited Venchi in Florence, Milan, Rome, and Venice, and all their stores have been beautiful. Their Pistachio gelato is better than most, Hazelnut is outstanding, and their Chocolate, oh their Chocolate, is supremely good. Top one or two gelateria, I would say, edging out Lindt in the chocolate category. I recommend Venchi whole heartedly. Four Stars.

This place is not just a gelato spot, but an experience in itself. The chocolate waterfall is insane! Great place to grab some souvenirs too. The desserts here are over the top amazing. Crave it all the time now!!

Venchi is by far my favorite gelato place in Rome. They also have excellent chocolate. I have tried Giolitti which is supposed to have one of the best gelato in Rome. However, I find it artificial tasting and way too sweet. Venchi on the other hand tasted fresh, not overly sweet and delicious. Venchi doesn't have as much flavors as other places, but it's more about quality than quantity for me. My favorite is their chocolate gelato. They also have freshly dipped chocolate cones, dipped in front of you.

This place has the best gelato I had ever tasted. I had a scoop of hazelnut gelato and a scoop of nougat. Both are subtle flavors so I recommend it if you don't like your desserts super sweet. The portions were huge and it comes with a wafer on top! You have to pay before you can order. It was a little confusing because everyone just stood around not knowing what to do. We waited in line to order for about five minutes before one of the workers told us that we had to pay first.

Venchi definitely stands out as a gelato shop because of how fancy it looks. It's very clean, and the presentation is top notch. The gelato is also delicious, but not as good as some of the others I've had in Rome. I shared a cone with Pistachio, Giandujotto, and Stracciatella with two other people. These three scoops cost over €6! They are well known for their chocolate flavors, so those were obviously the best. Their gelato is very soft and creamy, so it'll melt quicker than most. I also put nuts on the cone, which was delicious. The downside to Venchi is that the price point is higher than other gelato stores. Since there are so many other, better gelato spots, Venchi just seems overpriced.

Still thinking about the orange peels covered in Venchi chocolate...I seriously regret only getting a few pieces because now it's too late. I'm going to crave this until the next time I fly to Italia, which is hopefully next year. The store is beautifully decorated with a picturesque 'fondue' chocolate wall. I find the chocolate to be delicate yet strong. I love dark chocolate so I guess this is why I love this place. Stumbled across this place since I was searching for chocolates to bring back to my family and I'm so glad I got a few signature bars, truffles and chocolate covered fruits. Prices are 'okay' and a bit high but it's the same price range as godiva but cheaper than Patchi in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

This one is the one with no chocolate fountain. It is small compare to the other store. The cashier is nice but the person getting ice cream for me was not friendly :(

Best gelato I had in Rome. They have several locations and sell lots of cute chocolates and gifts in the shops as well. I had the small cone dipped in chocolate and peanuts, which comes with two flavors. The cappuccino and custard flavors were both delicious. My only complaint is that it melts extremely fast so don't take too long with photos once it's in your hand. Enjoy!

Ohmygosh. Venchi has the BEST chocolate gelato ever. I'm serious. Our tour guide had told us that Venchi made, specifically, the best chocolate gelato of anywhere in Roma. Lady wasn't lying... it was certainly the best chocolate gelato I had on our trip. Smooth, creamy, bursting w/ cocoa. I paired it with a scoop of hazelnut - spettacolare! Had I known it was going to be so good I would have gotten a larger size cone. Ordering is easy - we told the cashier what cup/cone size we wanted, paid and were handed a ticket. Once you've decided on your flavors - hand your ticket to a scooper and enjoy! The ladies behind the counter were the sweetest and while the place was packed they moved quickly. They've also got chocolates and other desserts if gelato isn't your thing... but you'd be crazy to go to Venchi and not order gelato! Sei pazzo!

This place is true gelato and not made with chemicals out of packet- you know this when there are few flavors, they do not have blue bubblegum or bright green mint and the gelato is flat and not fluffy- Just learned this at a Rome food tour ;) The pistachio was my favorite!

Venchi gelato was great! The line was long particularly it was a very hot day in Rome. It was worth the wait, and the servers were nice. I have 2 scoops in a cone with chocolate placed inside the cone. It was pricey but worth the money I paid for. I think it would be nice if they have some chairs and tables to stay around while eating. The mango gelato was out of this world!

Gelato!! The best in my opinion for taste and experience. Each gelato is had scooped with an intention to make it as perfect as possible. That means their trademark swirl, and layered after being softened gently not to overwork. The cone dipped in fresh melted chocolate and sprinkled with nuts or my preference more chocolate. Original and fresh flavors, include chestnut, seasonal fruits. Venchi is a chain, but don't be fooled either in a train terminal or city street. It's a great experience. They also have crepes and hot chocolate (liquid pure goodness) be careful of your shirt. ;) The bulk candy is sold my Wieght and has a nice selections of candy.

My sister was very excited to get a gelato, and checked to make sure they were still open the entire duration of our dinner. After dinner, we walked over to satisfy her gelato craving. We were the only people there at the time and my sister asked to try a couple flavors since we couldn't understand some of their flavor options. The guy working told us that we had to pay up front if we wanted to sample the gelato. We thought it was weird, but since we were going to get a gelato anyway, we paid him. Then, these Caucasian tourists came in and asked to try some flavors. He gave them samples immediately without making them pay first. Although we still bought the gelato, it ruined the experience. I would go anywhere else for gelato than deal with this kind of discrimination.

This was just slightly above average. They are a bit on the pricy side, especially for their packaged chocolates.

Some of the chocolate was pretty good. Service was alright. You're in the middle of Rome so this place gets very busy. To the point you're waiting outside of the shop for a good 45 minutes, but it does move.

Delicious. Their pistachio is really good. Same thing goes for the nocciola (hazelnut). People were friendly. Consistency was creamy. Flavor was good. One of my faves. About 2.50€ for a small size in a cone. But they give you a lot!

This place is amazing. They have a chocolate flowing wall, delicious treats and gelato. This place does get packed but stays moving with people. They do know English and were so helpful. It's right next to the Trevi fountain, so if you are in the area definitely stop bye and see what the buzz is about.

Best Gelato in the world!!! I highly recommend visiting while in Rome. Also recommend trying all the flavors. I went to this place three times while I was there for 3 1/2 days. GO NOW!!

Really yummy ice cream. The line was worth the wait. I would highly recommend. I would have loved to have bought the chocolates but it's just to hot and it would melt in my trip.
