Cheap and solid ponchas.

24 shots(1 meter) of different ponchas(not the tastiest ones) for 18 EUR. By my calculations 0.6litter, with rum max 0.25 in it. Do not know about anything else. As complimentary bartender gave peanuts. Portuguese music there. Was good starting point for rest of the night.

Very nice bartender. Explained the extensively what the drinks was and how it was prepared. Tried the capinegro.

Really not impressed. €3.50 for the smallest glass of poncha ever and was quite weak compared to others we’d had in Madeira. Staff not very helpful and were playing awful music really loud. Wouldn’t recommend

Poncha was pretty good, quite pricey compared to other places. Staff were very rude and not welcoming, clearly did not like tourists

Probably the best poncha in Funchal. There really isn't much more to say than that. It's a hole in the wall for sure and it doesn't really catch your eye but this is the one place that all the locals recommended to me for poncha. It's definitely not the ONLY place but every poncha I tried here was fresh and delicious, and it's properly sized for the price (which you can't say for some of the more touristy spots).

Good place to taste a wide variety of Poncha. The place is typical and the service is relaxed. The ponchas could be bigger. Very small glasses

Touristic spot with a severe anti-tourist attitude. We walked in, hoping to order two cocktails at the bar, and were met with absolute indifference. One bartender was too busy socializing with his mother and a small child who was literally walking on the bar with her shoes – he looked directly at us multiple times but couldn't even manage a simple 'hello.' The other bartender saw us too but also chose to completely ignore us. We tried sitting at a table next to the bar, thinking it might help, but still nothing. We eventually gave up and left. Seriously, skip this place if you want to avoid being ignored and feeling unwelcome!

This is the 3rd time in here. After first 2 nights I gave 5* rating. (1st photo) Tonight was disappointing. Last two photos show glasses full of ice, little to no alcohol in the Poncha. In addition, waiter asked us to pay for the drinks on the spot, but two days before we were able to have multiple drinks and we paid at the end. Why can't they keep offering the same service everytime?

Yelp
Of the bars in Funchal, this place seemed to be bumping every night. They have different flavors of poncha. You can see the bartenders make the poncha at the bar. Not my favorite poncha in the area, but still does the trick. It attracts a younger crowd (college-ish)? With every order, they give you a cup of peanuts and sometimes chickpeas.
