I wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary, but this place truly exceeded all my expectations! We arrived on Saturday night at 8:30 without a reservation and, as expected, it was full. Still, the team offered to take our number and asked us to wait about 30 minutes. They called us as soon as our table was ready — that extra effort to accommodate us immediately showed how professional and customer-focused they are, which is honestly rare in Amsterdam. The service was excellent and genuinely friendly. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive and recommended several dishes that we absolutely loved. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant — lively and vibrant, but not overwhelming so we could chat. The food was delicious from start to finish. We had a tartare, skewers, and pâté, all perfectly paired with a great wine. We finished with a chocolate dessert that was the perfect ending to the evening. I’ll definitely be coming back — we need more places like this. My girlfriends and I had a fantastic night, thanks to the chefs and the entire team!

Just became my #1 spot in Amsterdam! The menu is unique, the flavors are mouthwatering, and the quality was top-notch on every single dish we tried. Friendly service and great atmosphere, our overall experience was very positive. The Basque cider tastes a bit like funky orange wine, if that’s your thing👌 Can’t wait to come back!

This spot opened just a couple of months ago and feels like a real hidden gem! The food is excellent — especially the langoustine and lamb, both were delicious 👌🏻. Dessert was super nice too, just what I was looking for: warm dried cherry clafoutis and ice cream 🤤🤤! I agree with others that it’s a bit on the pricey side, but I guess the quality makes up for it. Service was good (they did forget to bring some water and took away the wine glass too quickly, but this is more small things to improve since the restaurant was empty; and not really smth that bothered us) more importantly they switch to English while they might be Dutch speakers at the table! I find that super nice!

I seldom write reviews, but I had to because after being disappointed by a lot of ‘good’ restaurants in Amsterdam lately: high price points, subpar satisfaction. So we were pleasantly surprised at Veneur. The quality of dishes and the service was a highlight, truly delicious and left us wanting to come back again. Our picks: tartare, red mullet, rabbit, pheasant were all great!

We discovered our new favourite restaurant in Amsterdam! The food is perfect and the service is amazing. Try the wild seabass crudo, it’s the best crisp you’ll ever eat! There are also vegetarian options available.
