Google
A must-stop in Terlingua for truly fresh coffee, tasty food, and a calm place to relax. There is colorful art all around the place, reliable internet, and beautiful views! They also carry camping supplies, plus books and handmade crafts from local artists. We tried the salmon Florentino and it was delicious.

Google
Food with a surprise! Similar to driving down Ranch Rd 170 to top a hill to another rock structure that surprises you! This place nestled in Terlingua, surprised us with its artistic vibes, walls of textures that provided a pleasant and cozy atmosphere for all! Industrial meets arts of social comfort! The many textures welcoming many kinds to just sit and take in the vibes! Everything in it could be bought. Beautiful art, plants, cactus containers, outdoor gear, souvenirs and more! All staff were nice, food was amazing and the owners were quite friendly! Don’t miss this place, you will be missing a part of culture that just hits perfectly!

Came here for breakfast. Not too crowded right when they opened at 8am. The food I ordered came out in around 10 minutes. The eggs benedict were nicely cooked and delicious. I also got their muffin to-go, which I had it during my hike to the Lost Mine Peak.

Google
It’s hard to believe this place is in a ghost town. The brunch is excellent. The items they sell are high quality and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is incredible. I’d definitely love to come back.

Google
Thoroughly enjoyed the Ruben sandwich with FF. Friendly and quick service at 10:45 a.m. This is a laid-back atmosphere has indoor and outdoor dining, as well as cushioned seating areas that offer views of the outdoors. The place is decorated with a variety of art pieces, most of which are for sale. From what I recall, all of the furnishings are custom built with reclaimed wood, slabs, and metal fabrication. Jeff and his team have nailed it!

Google
Modern Gem in Ghost-town!!! Sooooooo good!!! I was between two cafes. I drove by and saw an EMS truck, which means it has to be good. Local first responders know. Delicious coffee with healthy add in options. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito with bacon which was just right before heading north. Staff were very friendly, and I was honored to meet the owner. Funindoor and outdoor dining vibe with contemporary art, gear, and snacks available for purchase. Job well done creating Venga!

Google
Order the steak fajita burrito with rice and beans. A little pricey at $17, but well worth it. The burrito was huge and the fajita meat was very tender. Delicious! Place was very clean and quiet (but I did go on a Monday at 2pm).

Google
Great food, cool store/cafe in terlingua for anyone looking for a nice breakfast or coffee! Beware there is no espresso! Otherwise this place is great for some views and very close to a lot of the campsites around town

Yelp
Venga exceeded my expectations. The trendy building sticks out like a sore thumb in Terlingua and admittedly, I was initially reluctant to visit. However, their support of local artists won my heart. My husband and I had a teriyaki chicken bowl and enjoyed it. The teriyaki sauce was sweet for my taste, but everything in the bowl was fresh and flavorful. Chips and salsa was tasty too.

Yelp
When dining in Terlingua, I typically think I am grading on a curve. There isn't a lot down in these here parts, so I appreciate what is. With all of that being said, Venga is a 5-star breakfast joint anywhere! It was so good, it was our only repeat restaurant during our 4 days in the Big Bend region. Venga is a little more fancy looking that the rest of the area but it's not fancy. It's......modern. Part breakfast/lunch restaurant, part coffee shop and it's also a place to grab a souvenir or some basic outdoor gear. Our 1st morning here, I got a basic ham, onion and peppers omelet and some sort of multi grain toast. Everything was delicious and yet so simple. The second visit I went with the breakfast tostadas. 2 tostadas with chorizo beans, breakfast potatoes, cilantro and cotija cheese. These were amazing. I also got a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked to the perfect combination of meaty/chewy and crisp (which is rare for me to find). it was my favorite meal of the trip. If Venga were in a major city, there would be a line at 8am every weekend. Can't miss spot in Terlingua.

Yelp
Quickly became obsessed with this place and wish I could've experienced a lunch there, but we didn't leave the park soon enough! The avocado toast was the perfect size and everything tasted very fresh. It was great to enjoy the food while also viewing the gorgeous sunrise. Service is quick and there is ample seating both inside and outside. Plus there is an entire shop and tons of really awesome art work!
google avatar

Yelp
This is the cutest coffee spot in town and one of maybe the only ones in town. They don't have espresso here so just get the iced coffees instead of lattes. Their food is fairly good though. Love the vibes, the tall ceilings, and all the art work.
google avatar

Barbara D.

Yelp
Very cool place to enjoy breakfast and/or lunch and great coffee. Love all the art work. They have a great outdoor patio too.
google avatar

Guillermo C.

Yelp
What an awesome place to eat at. Not only are they friendly and the food is great but you get to check a lot of local artists work around the establishment. The food was fairly priced, the service was attentive and the restaurant itself was clean and decorated very well. It was fun to eat and just look at around at really dope art and see how much it would be to take it home. I did not expect something like this for being out in the middle of nowhere but I'm really happy we were all able to stop and enjoy some great food and fun vibes. This place is a must stop if you ever find yourselves around this area.
google avatar

Yelp
This coffee shop and café is unique and very trendy. Though the indoor is beautiful the outdoor seating section is my favorite. Great spots to take in the view and sip coffee. No espresso based drinks are offered here but the coffee was great and they are located in such a convenient spot while we were visiting.

Yelp
People don't come to Terilingua for fine dining or great food. Most people are here for Big Bend so it's a trade off from adventure vs great food. This is probably the best food offered in this town. I can only comment on breakfast, we never made it back from the park early enough to try lunch and they close early. The breakfast burrito is pretty packed with flavor and great portion. I ordered the egg and cheese burrito with spinach, grilled peppers and onions. My husband had the chorizo and egg. Both were tasty. The salsa was too sweet for my liking. My husband said his coffee was good. We ordered online and by the time we got there, food was ready. I ordered the breakfast croissant with egg and cheese the first time and it was not very good. The croissant seemed old. Don't bother with it. I'm glad I gave it another chance with the burrito. Just something else we observed that made zero sense. Their handicap parking is on the side and has a ramp for wheelchairs, however, the entire patio to get to the door is covered with good size rocks. You will not be able to navigate a wheelchair through the patio to get to the side door and the front entrance is steps only.

Yelp
Great food! Atmosphere great! Jeff settled an argument with my husband over the decor. I won! We've been back several times! Breakfast was awesome! They made me an omelette with tons of veggies! Pancakes with strawberries so goooood!
google avatar

Catherine H.

Yelp
Phenomenal place! We had breakfast and it was delicious, perfect eggs, bacon, beans (so good) and let's talk about the toast... who knew toast could be so tasty! Everyone was super nice! Great vibe!
google avatar

Guthree G.

Yelp
Traveling thru and decided to stop in for some Java and this place was pretty cool. The artwork, the people and total vibe was spot on. We decided to just grab some coffee but will definitely stop in for some food next time. Coffee was really good and price was decent. Service seemed a little slow for just a few people in line, but they had many items on the menu and plenty to choose from. Will definitely stop by the next time we're in town and have more time.
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute spot! Went in for lunch on a Thursday around 11 and it was pretty quiet. A few employees were hanging art to sell on the walls and watering plants. The reviews said the food takes forever to come out, but not for us. It was ready in about 15 min and was delicious! I had the beef fajita burrito with rice and beans on the side. It was perfect and kept me full all day. Lots of neat little things to look at and buy too!

Eileen M.

Yelp
Food tasted great. Items were fresh. Premade sandwiches, muffins, and fruit available. We don't drink coffee so I can't review that. Shake was delish!

Brandon C.

Yelp
Wish we could have tried it out. We pulled in on Friday at 4:39pm, and as soon as we walked in we were met with, "We are closed." I mentioned that their posted hours say they're open until 5pm, and was told, "We decide to close when things slow down." This was surprising--especially the day after Thanksgiving, one of the busiest days in Terlingua and Big Bend with people sitting and drinking inside still. While we were turning around, three other cars also pulled in expecting them to be open. Disappointed we didn't get the chance to try the place, but it would be helpful if the posted hours reflected when they actually operate.

Eliana N.

Yelp
The chorizo burrito was amazing! so yummy and flavorful I wish I could have it again! However, if you are a matcha person this isn't the place. Not good:(, but the food: yum!
google avatar

Yelp
Loved it so much, we came back twice. Pancakes, eggs benedict, and the breakfast burrito were done perfectly. Such a cool spot.
google avatar

Terry E.

Yelp
Wonderful food. Very reasonable prices for the area. Amazing interior with decorations and artwork for sale. Plenty of parking. Helpful and courteous staff. Lots of fun logo wear for sale. Interesting tables and chairs. Plenty of table room for big families or your group of friends as well.
google avatar

Danielle F.

Yelp
Food was the best meal we had throughout our Marfa/Big Bend weekend. I had the chorizo omelette and my boyfriend had the chorizo breakfast burrito. Food prep does take a bit, so if you're in a hurry, order one of the grab & go items from the counter. The space itself is open, with plenty of tables & seating options indoors and outdoors. There are lots of both leashed & unleashed dogs that come in with customers which was awesome for us since we're dog lovers, but just a heads up if you're not. Definitely worth a stop on the way in/out of Big Bend!

Crystal E.

Yelp
Food was delicious (had both breakfast and lunch here on separate days). And the design of the space was a delight for my architect husband.

Yelp
Very cool spot In Terlingua. I ordered the Fajita Burrito with a combo of chicken and beef. Added a side of rice and beans on the side. Insanely affordable prices for the quality and atmosphere! Food was very delicious paired with a refreshing Topo Chico. Food was very fast for us, maybe took 7-10 minutes to receive. Bought a cool art print to take back home in Houston. Tons of outdoor gear to choose from if you need something you forgot to bring with you. Cool Terlingua hats and t-shirts. Friendly staff. Cute pup named Tink that ran around the store bossing everyone around - loved it!

Yelp
Food - 4 Stars Service - 3 stars Atmosphere - 5 Stars We recently visited the Big Bend/West Texas area, and if you are familiar with that area of Texas, it is very isolated with very few choices for decent places to stay and eat (actually, there are quite a few restaurants and hotels/motels interspersed throughout the area, but most you wouldn't even consider entering.....primitive camping would be a better option, even without any gear). Anyway, this place appears to be a relative newcomer to the Terlingua area. It is located in a modern facility (very out of character for the area), is very clean, has a nice "store" for local art, and plenty of seating. I had the smoked salmon avocado toast, and my wife had the regular avocado toast, both of which were good. The food I saw on other people's tables also looked good. We didn't have an opportunity to try any of the other menu items, other than a chocolate muffin which kept calling out to me, and which did not disappoint! We did run in to some people we knew from our town (talk about a small world), and they had different items which they said were good. The only two complaints I had was that the portions were small, and the service (walk up counter). While the staff were friendly enough, they were understaffed for the time of year (week between Christmas and New Year) and extremely slow! I could see through the kitchen window and noticed that they had a LOT of orders backed up. That was evident in that it took close to 40 minutes for our food to come out. In all, our visit took a little over an hour and a half. It is fortunate that we weren't in a hurry, and that we had already paid for our food at the time of order. That being said, we would definitely eat there again.
google avatar

Paul L.

Yelp
I could live here. This is an incredibly beautiful and well designed building that blends well with the Terlingua landscape. The menu is pretty basic (for now). I just grabbed a soda and sat at one of the long wood tables while admiring (and lusting after) this stunning interior. A colorful painting of Willie Nelson hangs on the thick concrete wall. Frankly, I don't care if Venga served only water. I'll be a return visitor if only to nerd out on the architecture.
google avatar

Teresa S.

Yelp
Great ambience, good food, a little bit of a wait but worth it. My family (4) went to Venga for a late breakfast. You order at the counter. There is ample indoor seating, a GORGEOUS view, inviting outdoor courtyard, and a good array of odd goods to appreciate while you wait. The coffee was delicious and we enjoyed all of our meals which were priced fairly. We did arrive around a rush hour of 10-11 AM and waited about 40 minutes for our food which was the only downside. We would still recommend and go back!
google avatar

Patrick G.

Yelp
In town for the weekend with a friend to visit Big Bend. We came here for breakfast one morning. Wow -- is all I can say. Delicious food and awesome atmosphere/space. Absolutely worth a trip if you're in the area.
google avatar

Moira S.

Yelp
Came here 3 times throughout our trip and loved it every time! The decor and atmosphere, the views of the mountains, and the food!!! so glad they built this place! First time here but won't be our last. Definitely recommend if you're in Terlingua.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
We ate breakfast at Venga every morning of our trip. The salmon avocado toast fresh, light, and super tasty! The staff were welcoming and the cafe is dog friendly. Good prices and in a convenient location.
google avatar

Christa S.

Yelp
Newest addition to Terlingua! Stop in before your morning adventures for either a sit down or take away breakfast! I highly recommend the breakfast tacos! There's hot and iced coffee as well! They are still in the beginning stages, so be sure to allow for time with food prep, but overall worth the small wait! There's seating inside and outside. I highly recommend checking the place out! Pro tip: if you go before 8:00 it's definitely less crowded and easier to park! Great place to hangout and definitely will be back next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Another kitchy wonderful place to sit on your saddle for awhile. My son and I spent a few days in the area for the Big Bend Ultras and struggled to find someplace open for breakfast on our way out of town on MLK, Jr's birthday. It was difficult to find someplace easy to get to, that was open and wasn't super crowded. I don't know if that was because it was a holiday, a Monday, or the off-season. After driving around and yelping for a while we chose Venga. The parking lot was pretty full, but with all the great reviews in Yelp, we thought this was our best bet. And, oh boy was it! We took a menu off a stack when we walked in and took our place in line at the counter. Dont know if they typically have wait staff during vacation season, but it looked like the line was the place to be. My son ordered a smash burger (everything on their menu is served all day long) and I ordered a breakfast burrito. We did have to wait about 30 minutes for our name to be called, but we weren't in a hurry (yet) so we filled our coffee mugs and grabbed a seat at a table. It was fun to look around the place, as there was a lot of art on the wall for sale by local artists, and of course some local Big Bend and Terlingua merch. When our name was called, we hooked ourselves up with one of their unique hot sauces that were in squeeze bottles by the coffee station, grabbed our food, and dug in. From the first bite - both of us got wide eyed and were like "Wow!" The size of the servings were generous but not so large that you couldn't finish in one sitting, and the taste was so unexpectedly wonderful considering you are in a small town in the middle of nowhere. It would compare to any 4-5 star joint in the big city. So good. What else is there to say, but, hit this place up when you are in the area. There might be a wait, but for good food in the desert, what else would you expect?
google avatar

Lynn M.

Yelp
Clean and cute cafe. Got the rocket salad and this was delicious. The people here are also very nice too.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
We stopped in here for some coffee, ended up staying for breakfast and to just chill. The atmosphere is great -- if you love art they have lots to choose from and gear if you forgot something! We will be back!

Pam F.

Yelp
The food was very good, although my husband and son felt the smash burgers they ordered had too much sauce. My husband (who loves most things spicy), said his burger's sauce was too spicy. However, my grilled cheese was excellent. This place has a pleasant atmosphere with lots of seating. Love the big windows and the art on the walls. The young "ginger haired" lady who waited on us at the counter seemed like she wanted to be anywhere but there. No smile whatsoever. I'll never understand that. Life is too short and it costs you nothing to be friendly and give someone a smile. Maybe find a job where you don't have to interact with people continually???
google avatar

Alonzo P.

Yelp
This place was amazing. Some of the best rice I've ever had in my life. The beans were amazing also. It was affordable and medium portions. We had the steak fajita burrito and the Ruben sandwich which was both good. I'm use to Ruben's having more meat but for the price I won't complain. Very good and I'll be taking some of that good ole rice to go.
google avatar

Donovan S.

Yelp
Man the breakfast here was absolutely delicious! We both got the breakfast plate and I asked for the grilled onions and peppers on my eggs and I am glad I did! Yummo! The potatoes were good, and the salsa and pico de gallo were great additions. The sausage was tasty and the here is really good, and great prices! Very eclectic art, cool place.
google avatar

Rebecca S.

Yelp
This is a DO NOT MISS spot! They have great gifts, art, t-shirts and more...to ensure you never forget your trip to west Texas. We stopped here every morning before entering the park! I LOVED their breakfast options and coffee! Their service was AMAZING! But best of all...their vibe inside is spectacular. A true oasis in the middle of this beautiful desert.

Aneesa I.

Yelp
Beautiful interior and vibes. I love the way different artists are displayed throughout the store, making it like an art museum in some ways. Came in for a quick drink and I think the drink menu could be developed more since it is a "cafe" and they only had drip coffee and iced coffee as well as tea bags. That being said, I got the iced coffee with vanilla syrup and it was delicious.
google avatar

Raquel G.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere were fabulous. It provided a cool place while grabbing something to eat. I had the Cuban panini with fries and hubby had the ham and Swiss panini with fries. Food was hot and very tasty. BYOB is a plus. They did have a variety of sodas, coffee and tea. Would definitely recommend if in the area.
google avatar

Desiree R.

Yelp
The place is brand new, super clean and very spacious. It was aesthetically pleasing with several spots for pictures. They sell gifts and limited camping supplies! We got a shirt, tote and a small painting. They do not offer cocktails regularly. The young girl who took our order was very pleasant and charismatic! During our meal she told us about their free mimosas on the weekends so we actually went back a second time! The weekend we went was busy due to a wedding in town so the service was a little slower but nothing terrible The food is decent. Nothing spectacular but still tasty. Our first time we had the Tostadas and the Breakfast Burrito, both with chorizo. I preferred the tostadas. Second round we went back for the mimosas (tasty and free!), breakfast muffin and breakfast croissant. Both were good. Coming from Houston, we appreciated a beautiful place with good food at a GREAT price. Our meal total would've regularly been per person back home. Venga is top tier!!
google avatar

Annie B.

Yelp
Venga is an incredibly cute coffee shop near the ghost town. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced, my only complaint on the food is the portion is on the smaller size. Service was quick and friendly and there is even a little shop off to the side that you can buy art, clothes, and hiking/camping gear. There's plenty of cozy seats inside and outside and the outside is very dog friendly! My only real complaint is that for a coffee shop they don't offer a lot of coffee options. If you are a hot coffee drinker there's plenty for you here but if you prefer espresso or iced drinks you are stuck to buying canned options.
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
Excellent breakfasts fortwo mornings in a row. Coffee as well. Wish it would stay open for early supper.

Eric A.

Yelp
One of the nicest spots in terilingua Food was fire cashier is nice and ambiance was relaxing. Definitely will be back.
google avatar

Jerry C.

Yelp
Good modern aesthetic, spacious concrete structure with ahoppinh for gear, pets allowed, great food we had the chorizo omelet and hummus abocado toast both were good. There was also some art on the walls which were great to look at. Would eat here again
google avatar

Allison F.

Yelp
We had breakfast here 3 times in our 4 day trip! It was delicious, clean, professional. I would not recommend if you're in a hurry, but it was wonderful to chill and enjoy meal and conversation with our family, plus new people we met there. We tried the blueberry pancakes, the breakfast burrito, salmon avocado toast, and avocado toast. The coffee is also delicious! It's sometimes hard to find good coffee on vacation but this was yummm! It's also so clear to see that the owner has an eye- such a cool and artistic space. We each bought tanks/T-shirts to take home as souvenirs! Loved it!
google avatar

Roamy T.

Yelp
Favorite place to eat in Terlingua. We visited 4 times while in town. The tostada's were my favorite thing on the menu. I ordered one of each- Avocado with sumac onion and feta, and Pinto beans, chorizo, ham and bacon. What!? So good and refreshing after spending a day in the beautiful, toasty town of Terlingua. Try the breakfast menu as well. Burritos, smoothies, baked goods and specialty toasts all hit the spot. They also offer to-go options like sandwiches, salads and desserts to fuel you up before heading out for a day in the park. Great music, art and comfy lounge areas complete the experience at this unique, lovely place.
google avatar

Kristina G.

Yelp
Very cool place to visit! I've been following since it opened! I ate both breakfast and lunch here. So delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the breakfast but I had the egg sandwich. My friend got the egg plate and it was a great portion! The salsa is so delicious, make sure to ask for it! For lunch we had the fajitas! Very delicious, and tastes great with the salads!
google avatar

Moneet S.

Yelp
unfortunately this place has extremely slow service. if you are planning a quick bite skip. Food is fine though
google avatar

Neptune's Q.

Yelp
Cool vibes, lots to look at. And if you had lots of time to hang out, would be great but we just stopped for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich to go..took 35 minutes and then all the drip coffee makers were empty..all 3. Breakfast sandwich was tasty though!

Ruthie G.

Yelp
We walked in here with limited options and were so glad we did! The food was fabulous and brought us back to life after a challenging hike. The coffee was great too. The place had a great atmosphere and the art is cool. We walked out with a couple of crocheted cacti that were adorable for our kids.
google avatar

Yelp
I really love this place the food is always excellent and ambience is wonderful my only issue is their drinks they have nothing fresh nothing healthy . Hopefully one day it will change till then I just get fresh OJ from Milagro and take it with me to eat the wonderful food at venga....

Albert W.

Yelp
Had the salmon on avocado and toast excellent! Also, the fajitas are to die for More than adequate Portions
