Venice Breakwater

Unfortunately this photos and videos were made during the LA Fire 2025, so you can see the cloud of smoke in video’s and photos! But this part of the Venice Beach is really beautiful! Breakwater made of stones is ideally for meditation and watching waves hitting the rocks! I add some photos from the last summer 2024!

Not crowded! Water and sand are clean! The boardwalk is also very clean. No sign of homelessness. Lifeguard on duty. Police presence. Just some clean fun day at the beach!

Amazing peninsula views, lower tide offers a bunch of tide pools with fish, crabs and marine life. Great for kids to explore. Storm drain leading out to the rocks is covered with very slippery green algae. During higher tides, waves do break over the rocks, so be mindful if your going to climb on them. Quite a few folks have gotten hurt when crashing waves wash over them. No swimming is allowed near the rocks (North or South side) due to the very strong rip currents. Lifeguards will come over and tell you to get out. Amazing sunset views!

Visit during sunset time, And the atmosphere feels so good. Lot of surfing activity, and the splash of waves against the rocks. Great spot for photographers. I loved the sunset pictures from my collection here.

You MUST walk to the Breakwater to truly enjoy your day. When the wave is high and closes in on that long row of rocks, the water hits them. This creates a huge cascade of water high enough to feel the ocean spray on your face. You gotta get a little close but not too close. Make your move after seeing how the water flows a few times. It really is amazing to watch the waves that are created by this force of nature. Makes for some peachy keen surf riding too. I'm taking surfing lessons this summer. Maybe I'll be able to ride on one of those waves. I'll let you know. Aloha

Walking along venice beach is one of the best experience in los angeles. Much to explore, clean, and peaceful

The view is amazing, you can look from Palos Verdes all the way to Malibu.
