Venue Hotel

My friend and I really loved our stay. Our room was clean and regularly tidied up. We also loved the charming neighborhood which was accessible both to buses and the MRT station. Although the latter is around a 10-minute walk— that's near to us already and we don't mind since it's such a walkable neighborhood. What made our stay even better though was the customer service. Thank you so much, Joseph and Davin, for being so accommodating. We appreciated all your help and assistance. 💞 We're definitely coming back and we're missing SG already. :)

I checked in at around 2.30pm and was assigned to my non-window room 323 accordingly and they do have some rooms with windows at a slightly higher price. Joseph who attended to me suggested to check into my rooms first. However it wasn’t the platform double bed room that i wanted so he re-assigned me to this really big room 311 with no windows. This is a huge room but unfortunately the Aircon took quite some time to work. It was not that i did not like this room that was recommended by Joseph. Indeed it was a much bigger room with platform 2 single beds and spacious bathroom with partitioned shower glass. I asked Joseph to show me room with window and he showed me one with a super tiny window (i mean is not even a window at all more like a skylight. Lol) so i asked if there were other windowed rooms and he brought me to the fourth floor (room 416)|. Despite being a smaller room and it was not a platform bed but i decided to pay the slight additional because of the window. I think it was perfect size. Room came with the usual shower gel, shampoo conditioner, toothbrush, tea and coffee maker and most importantly slippers and hair dryer! Thank you Receptionist Joseph for being so patient again and again. By the way room comes with safety deposit box and an empty fridge but there wasn’t any mineral water provided as they use those filtered drinkable water from bathroom. But in case if you need any bottled water there is a mart two doors down which closes at 9pm so is ok. Shower is almost over the sink without partition so it will get wet everywhere but it wasn’t too bad honestly! I think this room meet the basic need for someone looking for budget stay. Also staff is nice here and when you come look for Joseph. Thank you again!

I enjoyed my stay at The Venue Hotel, primarily because of the very good service from the staff who were always helpful and friendly. They allowed me to check-in early after my longhaul flight, I can't describe how good that shower was. They were always accommodating, securely storing my luggage for my last day in Singapore as my flight was at 10:50pm. The room was clean and had the basic amenities. The bed was comfortable and the cleaning was always of a high standard. The location was good, Joo Chiat is quite a hip area so has good coffee shops, some artsy type boutique shops but also there's a laundromat and a supermarket a few minutes walk away. It's not very close to a metro station but there are a couple of bus lines nearby and, as you know, Singapore transport is efficient. The only downside to the stay is a common one in Singapore, while the floor and the walls seem to be well sound-proofed the walls are less so, I could here someone come in late one night and take a shower😕 Overall I would recommend The Venue and would stay there again.

It was my first stay at Venue Hotel and tbh the service were great. Very friendly and welcoming. Our room was pretty clean, the room size was suitable for two people. Amenities available was sufficient for a short stay however, my room’s toilet door that connects to the room does not close properly. Other than that it was good. Surrounded by lots of food options around the hotel. It was okay getting to the hotel if you don’t mind walking for like 2-3 minutes from the bus stop.

Great experience, Joseph our man at the reception is a sweetheart, and a good conversationalist. We were hyped to find he used to be a makeup artist! Only issue was a neighbour smoking in their room, the smoke got through to our room via the vents, at that point it was turn off the AC and/or open the hallway door. Rooms were epic though, beds are comfy, the shower is perfectly designed and the sink has a drinking water dispenser built-in!

Had a great stay at Venue Hotel. Room was clean. Not big (probably pretty standard for Singapore) but had everything I needed. Reception was friendly and helpful. Love the location - right in the heart of Joo Chiat area, lots of interesting shops, cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and drinking establishments!

rooms quite small as difficulty to store our large size luggage. perhaps could choose a bigger room as easy to move around. overall, all ok, great location and lots of halal eateries. suitable for muslim, such a blessed! definitely will come back as staffs are welcoming and no extra charges for early check-in. thank you all for your warm hospitality 🫰🏻

Highly recommended hotel. We arrived 4:30am this morning and a very friendly staff checked us in quickly and allowed us for late 1pm late check out on the same day. At 11am, my son still soundly asleep so I went to the reception and asked if it is possible to extend another hour as our next flight is midnight. The young Chinese looking man at the reception accommodated me nicely and very friendly and gave me 4pm check out which is a bonus to our stay,as we just want to rest before our next flight. Just outside the hotel you can buy very affordable food at local restaurants and cafes. Very handy location. I want to stay again here next travel. I greatly appreciate the extra free hours given to us. My son is so happy.

It's cheep, it's somewhat clean. I was here at Oct 10th and the make night staff was verbally abusing a child. Taking photos of him and screaming at him. I wanted to speak up but the staff was being really insensitive towards the child. I went to my room shaking because of how the child was so scared and the adult was yelling at him.

Aside from the location, there isn't positive things to say about the hotel. Even before we arrived, there were no responses to our emails, and when we arrived late after a long journey from KL, we were given a terrible room next to the cleaning closet, where the housekeeping staff congregated from 7 in the morning till midnight.  The room was filthy, so much so that our feet were covered in dirt after walking barefoot ... and what is up with the sad toilet paper dispenser?!? Although we enjoyed staying in a lovely residential area with great restaurant options, I would not stay in this hotel again.

This is my second night here. This is a very cozy hotel. The rooms are much smaller than I anticipated. Very small actually. I am 5'10" and my legs are almost hanging off the bed. The AC works great and the room was cooled down working a few minutes. Maybe it's because it's so small. Lol. The room is very clean and well kept. This hotel seems to be no older than two years hence everything seem to be sparkling new. The staff is very friendly, engaging in conversation and accommodating. They went above and beyond to recommend place to visit during our stay in Singapore. My whole stay here has been pleasant until the night came. There is an issue with the sewage system and the room was filled with a very unpleasant odor. We contacted the front desk and they immediately came to rectified the issue. They first brought in a machine to help remove the odor and then offered to upgrade both our rooms. This has been the most responsive the staff has been at any hotel I have visited. All in all. I would stay here again. I would be sure to book a bigger room.
