Venue Hotel

- Suitable for solo travelers staying 1–2 nights. Not ideal for large suitcases 30-inch due to limited space.- The room is clean with no musty smell. Air conditioning works well.- The bathroom is clean, with strong water pressure from the shower. However, there is no separation between wet and dry areas.- The walls are quite thin I can clearly hear noise from neighboring rooms. Earplugs are recommended for sleeping.- The door has only a single lock and no additional latch, which may cause some concern about security.- The front desk staff are polite and helpful.- The lobby has insufficient seating. Replacing the two large chairs with smaller ones along the wall, or a long sofa, would better accommodate guests.- The MRT station is about a 12–15 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel was in a mediocre location - not close to any MRT but a short walk to the nearest bus stop with limited choices. The room was very compact and suitable for only solo traveling. The water heater had issues and did not deliver any hot water. Hygiene in the room was acceptable but can be improved. Overall it is appropriate for a short stay but may not be a good base to enjoy the whole of Singapore.

Location: right in the center of the colourful & vibrant scene of Joo Chiat Road in Katong District - a residential conservation area with a wonderful fusion of modern day houses & UNESCO heritage charming nyonya architecture.Room: it’s clean and orderly as advertised. It does serve you the essential needs of brushing your teeth, shower & toilet. Bed was decently comfy but just that the bed was a bit shorter than my height despite claiming as queen sized. No roaches, good water pressure for shower, clean drinking water from tap. Lobby: there are 2 macintosh computers for browsing. There are 2 books in the trendy looking quiet lobby (1 was a good read for me). Staff are attentive and helpful.The jewel is the hotel’s JooChiat st location. I’d stay here again if visiting Singapore. I loved the coffee and bread at Olsen bakery next door too the barista was uniquely polite and friendly, all stars.

Good, clean place, the view area is nice. Puteri & Davin is nice and welcoming. Location is very good, close to shops and bus stop and train. My go-to place to have a break! Thanks for making my stay comfortable!

Would like to say the staff at Venue Hotel were amazing and fantastic!! Especially Davin and Joseph!! |Davin is always warm and friendly! He remembers all my special requests! He make me feels at home! |Joseph especially attentive! Was raining and he came out and shelter me with umbrella,he also help me with baggage. |Really amazing staff,would always go back and stay again! Hotel is clean and convenient to most places! Recommend highly!

Firstly what makes our stay the best start has always been its customer service . And Mr Davin has never once failed me .. he easily puts a smile on to my face even tho how jet lag i can be .. i purposely didnt come to my safe haven for the longest time due to my curiousity on whether Mr Davin’s customer service was genuine enough to remember me .. and guess what he absolutely remembered me .. even tho i lost some weight, had long hair extensions and a new tatts on my full neck.. hahhaaa he’s amazing not only does he love his job and what he does but he is for real when he forge a rapport with his clients. And also another cutest lady working there who i nevef expected to remember me was Putri, she’s efficient and always on que even remembers that i always misplaced my keycards and she always on standby to scan another one on my arrival .. please look out for these two .. enjoy ur stay and the comfort of peace.. the warmest thank you to a vietnamese chambermaid called Hao .. he does a good sparkling clean and neat job.. friendly always knowing what the clients needs and always prepared to help us. Love y’all

Pros: Katong is a beautiful location with so many options to eat & chill!There are gyms, yoga studios, pilates classes that offer free trial classesAffordable price Friendly staffCons:Shower door had a poor sealing. Whenever I took a shower water spillt all over that tiny bathroomToilet had a bad sewage smell It’s quite oldNot much amenitiesI guess you get what you pay for.

It's cheep, it's somewhat clean. I was here at Oct 10th and the make night staff was verbally abusing a child. Taking photos of him and screaming at him. I wanted to speak up but the staff was being really insensitive towards the child. I went to my room shaking because of how the child was so scared and the adult was yelling at him.

Aside from the location, there isn't positive things to say about the hotel. Even before we arrived, there were no responses to our emails, and when we arrived late after a long journey from KL, we were given a terrible room next to the cleaning closet, where the housekeeping staff congregated from 7 in the morning till midnight.  The room was filthy, so much so that our feet were covered in dirt after walking barefoot ... and what is up with the sad toilet paper dispenser?!? Although we enjoyed staying in a lovely residential area with great restaurant options, I would not stay in this hotel again.

This is my second night here. This is a very cozy hotel. The rooms are much smaller than I anticipated. Very small actually. I am 5'10" and my legs are almost hanging off the bed. The AC works great and the room was cooled down working a few minutes. Maybe it's because it's so small. Lol. The room is very clean and well kept. This hotel seems to be no older than two years hence everything seem to be sparkling new. The staff is very friendly, engaging in conversation and accommodating. They went above and beyond to recommend place to visit during our stay in Singapore. My whole stay here has been pleasant until the night came. There is an issue with the sewage system and the room was filled with a very unpleasant odor. We contacted the front desk and they immediately came to rectified the issue. They first brought in a machine to help remove the odor and then offered to upgrade both our rooms. This has been the most responsive the staff has been at any hotel I have visited. All in all. I would stay here again. I would be sure to book a bigger room.
