A very decent hotel in the center of San Ignacio…The mattresses are a bit weird and there are no curtains in the shower, but other than that the hotel is ok. The personnel is OK and the hotel is clean, too. There is a massage place just next door , a good coffee place across the street and a few good breakfast and lunch places

Stayed here for a poetry event in San Ignacio. The location is perfect for anyone hoping to explore downtown - plenty of nice shops and restaurants are literally minutes away. The rooms are really affordable as well as comfortable and clean. I had booked a standard queen room and was pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a king room. The only downside was that it was located close to the entrance and I could have heard most people's conversations outside. They do have quiet hours though, so this didn't bother me too much (i'm also not a fussy person). Still great value for your money.

I really loved this hotel. It’s a little funky (doesn’t have the most up-to-date style) but totally clean. AC worked great. The King bed was totally comfortable, though i suspect that the full bed in the living area (that we did not use) was a little less so. It’s right in the middle of everything. From the balcony you can hear all of San Ignacio - the people calling, the birds, the futbol matches just below - but no bar noise or things like that. Just one thing to be aware of - the bedroom in the suite has no windows. This is just a tad bit creepy - but it made it quiet! Staff was awesome - very helpful.

We loved this hotel! It was right in the middle of everything! Very clean. Our bed was comfy, and my son said his bed was ok. Took a few minutes to get hot water in the shower. A/c worked great. Street in front of the hotel is pedestrian only and full of tour agency's, restaurants, and shops. The town square is directly behind the hotel and was so fun to see the activities there every night. The phenomenal farmers market was just across the parking lot behind the hotel. So many beautiful fruits and veggies and a handful of delicious places to eat. We loved staying here with such close proximity to everything. Workers were very nice and hotel was decorated so cute! Seriously loved it!

The location is in the heart of the town, with shops, restaurants and the farmers market all right there. It is bustling and a bit noisy, but that was fine with us. The room was decent, but the mattress was tired, and no shower curtain resulted in an unnecessarily wet bathroom floor. The price and location made up for those negatives, and joining excursions from here was easy and convenient. |Good value for the price, as long as you are realistic about charming old hotels.

Had a very bad experience here. Reserved ahead from Belmopan and was told no standard rooms available so I accepted the deluxe room upcharge. It was not a deluxe room. You had to back down the narrow alcove to the commode. Once there you could not turn around. No towel rack in the bathroom, no desk or chair to use with a computer, minimal outlets, could not charge multiple devices at the same time. I immediately went back downstairs before so much as unfolding a towel but was told no refund would be issued for the first night. I did get a refund for the remaining nights and I moved almost directly across the street to the Maya Belle which I highly recommend.

This hotel is very charming! Just be aware the amenities are minimal, but this didn't change my view on the hotel at all. The staff were so nice, location was absolutely perfect. Funny thing, I couldn't get my wall a/c unit to work, and honestly I didn't even bring it up to the front desk, I didn't care. I opened the window or spent time on the balconies, embraced the experience and loved it! I'd stay here again.

Stayed at the Venus for 3 nights. Love the location and view of town from the balcony areas. Easy walk to several great restaurants. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Noise travels through the halls so you may hear your neighbors a little, but other than that we slept great. Staff was friendly, felt safe and well cared for.
