Venus Hotel

Solid 3 star hotel in the center of town. We booked last minute and couldn’t be happier with our room. It’s a modest hotel at a modest price ($80 USD per night), with a fridge, fantastic air conditioning and super soft beds. Five minute walk from Guava Limb, the San Ignacio Market, and tons of restaurants right outside.

Clean and comfortable. Excellent wifi, complimentary drinking water, good a/c, hot shower. We were very happy with our stay. Note: this hotel is located on a pedestrian only street in the town centre. Great free parking is located behind the hotel, with a short walk up a small hill to get to the entrance, then a flight of stairs up to the second floor reception area.

This place was great! Clean, central, friendly and safe! Ask about the pass to hit the pool at the Midas Hotel too. We loved room 15 here - hot shower, ac and open windows to take in the bird sounds, the local kids playing soccer and all the sounds of San Ignacio. Be sure to head for the market only two minutes away - the food there was cheaper and better than on the main strip. We would come back to Venus again for sure!

Great budget option right in the centre of town, surrounded by bars, restaurants, and everything you need. The room was simple but comfortable, with a big bed, good shower, and excellent air conditioning. The staff were awesome, the guy at reception even found a warm storage room to dry out my shoes after the ATM Cave tour so I could wear them again the next day. You can also use the pool at their partner hotel, the Midas, which is a nice bonus.

The room and service is great. However it’s in the middle of the town and there’s so much noise at night. The wifi in the room is not so good. The water pressure is low and it takes 5mins for the water to heat up. It’s cheap, but I’d rather stay somewhere even cheaper like a hostel for the reasons listed above.

AC worked, staff was great, they held my bag prior to check in, & accommodated the extra blanket I requested. I walked to the barbershop, near by resort y for tours, & a park. No heat - so, ask for blankets.

Good couple rooms. We stayed at the king deluxe and we loved it. Available purified water, room service with daily cleaning, AC, all great. Best location close to the downtown. Highly recommend.

Simply room with hot shower. Free drinking water. Wifi was stable. Air con in room. Google tv
