Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa

Lovely friendly hotel, not too big. Welcomed with a drink on arrival. Room good with comfortable bed. Shower strips a little tired, noted by staff. View from room over pool and the bay. Weaver birds nested in tree outside and frogs took over in the evening! Pool had good loungers & shades, served by a pool bar and able to get snacks at lunch time. Outside and indoors buildings kept clean. Bottled Water provided each day. Walked to Shops & restaurants in the town along the sand. Someone let the hotel know it was our 50th wedding anniversary! Had a bottle of fizz & fresh fruit on the 1st night and gifted an a la carte meal another night. Our room also had some more fizz and decorated swan towels and petals! Lovely plus we also had a chocolate cake at dinner! We kept it in the fridge to eat the next day. I would go back again as all people helpful and friendly.

People in Mauritius are so kind and helpful.|Even the staff at the hotel are really nice, always asking if this going well. |The food at the hotel is so good and we had a nice and wonderful cooking experience with all the staff m, Padmini, Lindy from the entertainment, Aurora from the guest experience.|The clay workshop with Roukaya was really relaxing and it was my first time doing it with people from different countries, not understanding what they are saying but we still feel that we had a connection while doing the clay sculpture.|The Mauritian day was amazing. Good food, nice and good live music. |The management cocktail, was amazing, gathering people together, people dancing, sharing.|Room always clean and the deco stunning.|We are having an amazing time and we had to share it. We are really grateful that you people taking good care of us. And we will surely come back and recommend.

The hotel and surrounds are just beautiful, but the standards and service need to be lifted a long way. Some staff delightful and are hampered in their efforts by limits of the place. Other staff don't listen, make multiple mistakes and just don't seem to care. A hotel offering all-inclusive should never run out of beer or food at the buffet!

Veranda hotel is really nice. We had a nice welcoming and we are more than happy of our choice. We appreciate the friendliness of the people. And we visited a lot of places which we recommend. |You may go at Port Louis to see the typical area. The locals shop, historical places, old post office. Lots of souvenirs which you can buy for families, really colourful and busy.|Cap Malheureux , good area with good food. |The food at the buffet are delicious , we liked the pineapple pickles and the chef came personally to gives us the recipe which was really kind from him. |We are happy of our stay. And thanking everyone for their kindness.

We came here for family vacation and we are more than happy with the hotel services and accommodation. It is a small hotel, not so many rooms, boutique style hotel with a beautiful creole style decoration. We request special food for breakfast which are served everyday with love. We really appreciate and was a really kind gesture. We had a nice room and was clean and well done everyday. We had nice outings as well recommended by the ream of the hotel. We recommend the hotel. It is a family friendly hotel.

We had the most restful and peaceful stay at the Veranda Hotel. The rooms were beautifully designed and comfortable, with stunning views of the bay right outside. Days were filled with activities — from snorkelling and boat rides to simply relaxing by the pool or on the sun loungers. The food and bar were excellent, offering plenty of variety, and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Nothing but positive words to share about this hotel. The room is beautiful, we stayed in a privilege room and it felt very private and exclusive. There is a nice mix of sun loungers available by the pool and beach and it’s very comfortable. Some water sports available to, we used the pedalo. ||What makes this hotel the best though is its staff! They are the most friendly attentive people. Every single one of them welcomes you with a smile and is always happy to help. |We met Aurore on our first night, she made us feel at home straight away and throughout our holiday always checked in. She is also very fun at the events (like dancing at the rum tasting) ||Jordan and Lindy went above and beyond for us and they honestly made our holiday perfect. They were so much fun, always made the effort to come and talk to us, we’re happy to play uno in the evenings and really helped bring some guests together. They are the kindest people and we will never forgot this holiday because of them! ||The waiting staff are incredible, too many to mention (and unfortunately I can’t remember every name) but Ajay cuco is one that stands out. He works so hard and made sure we always knew where he was if he needed anything. ||Ashvin looked after us alot in the restaurant and also Dushan! Very quick service, really fun to talk with and made our meals special. ||Overall this is a very special hotel that I can’t recommend enough. It’s in a great location too! Must visit!
