Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa

For me this is honestly one of the best hotels out there! The gardens are beautiful, the style of the decor is lovely and calming, the food is delicious and fresh, there’s a beautiful view over the bay and across to the peaks in the distance, and the pool looks out onto a cute little beach. But best of all are the staff! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming - from the restaurant staff to the bar staff the the cleaning staff. I have been here with my son and Arourare, Roukaya, Lindy, Cristella, Elisha, Cristobelle, Kelvin and many other members of the team (too many to name!) at the hotel have spent time with him, making his stay as fun as possible! As a single mum it’s been so relaxing to know that everyone has been looking out for him. The hotel also has a trampoline, kayaking, a glass bottom boat and snorkelling which is great for kids. And we even had a trip from Santa on Christmas Day! In fact, the entertainment has been great all round - a magic show, shadow puppet show, fire show, sega dancing and some great singers. We’d love to come back again - thanks so much to all the staff 🩷❤️🧡

We had a relax time and really enjoy the hotel. December 2025 We had a lovely stay and happy that this hotel has been recommended. Child friendly hotel. Some staff really went above and beyond. Special mentioned to Aurore who is really appreciated by our grand daughter. Christabelle from the reception, and Cindy from the restaurant , our favourites. Chef Sudhir and Babee from the kitchen who were really helpful providing food for our grand daughter. Lindy from the entertainment also really nice and helpful. The hotel proposed lots of activities at the boathouse and also proposed a leisure playground. There's a nice swimming pool, beautiful sunset. Food was good at the restaurant which we really enjoyed. Big thanks to the whole team and will surely recommend the hotel.

I had a very good time at Veranda Grand Bay, excellent services, great staffs especially Aurore,Darren, Lindy, Cindy, Group Trio ,Roukaya, Sudhir and Mme Babee from the kitchen. Things which really marked us is the welcoming. Always proactive when asking for something. We had nice time, good entertainment, especially the live music and they also accommodate to our demand. Good activities for the kids like sea activities. The location is good and really important as we had lots of facilities around and supermarket nearby.

12th December- arrival at the hotel after taking a taxi from the airport. We met some amazing staff and then ventured out to the town for dinner. 13th- After breakfast at the hotel, we took a taxi to the mall and then visited the market close by. 14th- on this day we went on a catamaran and had a delicious room service delivered. 15th- we went swimming in the ocean near the hotel and spent half the day in the pool (which is the perfect temperature) 16th- we travelled to Port Louis to see the umbrellas and do some shopping. 17th- another day spent visiting the market and lounging around in the beautiful hotel with drinks. 18th- undersea walking, tubing and a speed boat topped off with live music after dinner back at the hotel. 19th- half day until we flew home. Overall: Grand Baie is a stunning town full of charming people and many quaint shops. The food is delectable and the ocean is perfect. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are beyond amazing. The hotel is excellent and perfectly located right by the sea. The staff is truly exceptional – always smiling, attentive, and ready to help with anything you need. They made us feel welcome from the first moment and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The facilities are new, clean, and beautifully maintained. We have stayed at the veranda Gran Baie in Mauritius for the past 9 days and had a fabulous time. Accommodation is very colonial feel to it, with lovely relaxed feeling and vibe. Staff at reception very helpful, welcome drinks on our arrival too. Room lovely and airy with twin beds and loads of space with fridge in the room to put all your drinks etc. great shower and facilities within the room too. Had a poolside room over looking the pool, 10 steps to the lovely infinity pool. 2 bars and great staff. We were HB and enjoyed the food for both breakfast and evening meal. There is a bar that serves food, however we didn’t need to use this as we did excursions most day and lunch was included. Very relaxing and lovely holiday… will be coming back.🥰

Great hotel. Family friendly. Convenient location for good restaurants close by. Very intimate experience at the hotel. The entertainment was great. |The hotel is luxurious and the rooms were cosy and quiet. Very friendly staff and easy to get assistance. |We had easy access to the tours, catamaran and speed boat and activities.

I had a lovely time at Veranda Grand Baie. From start to finish the staff were exceptionally welcoming and warm and extremely approachable. They made you feel at home at all times. The rooms were clean and aesthetically pleasing with great air conditioning. The food was amazing and we got to experience the Mauritian culture and cuisine while staying here even without going into town. But even going into town is really easy and close by. I would highly recommend a stay at veranda and I would definitely come back again.
