Fantastic experience! We had the 6 course tasting menu last night, and it was amazing! The menu was reflective of fall, and many of the flavors were integrated into each dish in the best way possible. There were many flavors I was not used to eating, and enjoyed every second. From the delightful salad with fresh veggies, a silky smooth squash soup, perfectly cooked Tuna with an amazing squash/beet sauce, great risotto with mushrooms, and tender short ribs. Each dish had the perfect amount of seasoning and unique flavor to enhance each dish. Do yourself a favor and go here!

Top notch restaurant for a gastronomic odyssey with Chef Scott. I had the 6 course menu and each plate was carefully crafted to tell a story, the story of their maker, the journey of the ingredients and the story of love. (You probably want to share this experience with those you love) The colors on the plates were vibrant, fresh and tantalizing, and every bites came with a measured proportion of flavors creating a perfect symphony on my palette. I came with my own wine as recommended, the server took pride and joy in executing the service of food and the pouring of wine. By the time dinner was done, three different tables joined in a conversation for vacation recommendations, other food experiences and business ideas. It was magical to see the love across gender, race and social /professional status. That's what good food does to people, we get back to our innermost desire, unadulterated, innocent and carefree desire to relate to other human beings. Lastly You don't come to Verbena BYOB to see if it lives up to your expectations, You come here for an upward calibration of your expectations.. Indulge yourself, you are worthy of it all.

Truly an amazing meal! Four of us had dinner here and opted for the 6 Course Tasting Menu. This is the right choice - trust me. It is pricey, but for a meal this mind blowing, it is absolutely worth it. Staff was friendly and provided us with an outstanding evening. Chef was a Gandalf the Grey class kitchen magician. Each course was perfectly flavored, seasoned and presented. We all agreed that that these table-specific dishes were 10/10 - every one. We will be back, and cannot wait to try your next ideas. I do not remember the names, but here is what we were served - photo captions

If you are looking for a fine dining experience in the Wilmington, DE area this may be your place. Four of us dined there on a Friday evening, for the (6) course tasting menu ($105.00per person). Tasting menu is presented on Friday and Saturday nights only. The menu changes daily depending on what chief finds at market. (This is a farm to table process) The web site shows a SAMPLE menu; however, you won’t know what you are having until it arrives on the table. Since this is a BYOB is makes it a little hard to decide what wines to bring. Food is very good, but some of the ‘bites’ seemed a little disjointed (i.e., some of the bites were difficult to figure out how to eat them to get the experience the chief may have intended). As I noted you don’t know what you are having until it arrives on the table and other than a brief description by the server no other information is forth coming on what you are eating. A single sheet of course descriptions would go a long way in helping you understand what is being served. (I have enclosed photos but since the menu changes every day they are simply for your viewing pleasure). Service was good, however we had to slow down the pace by eating slower since the first three courses came out almost on top of each other. They offer a three course Pre Fixe on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for $55.00. Parking is ample across the street ant the city parking garage.

Had an incredible dinner at Verbena! The service was friendly and attentive, but most importantly, the food was phenomenal. We had a delicious sweet potato soup appetizer followed by a ribeye steak cooked to perfection and a deliciously crispy skate on a bed of green beans and other vegetables. Dessert was a warm and decadent homemade baklava. Would definitely eat here the next time we're in Kennett Square!

Chef Scott Morozin cares, full stop. Verbena BYOB is outstanding, full stop. But I'll elaborate. Chef cares about creating an experience. He cares about locally sourcing ingredients so you have the most fresh and seasonal sensations. He cares about creativity, quality, consistency, and a highest standard of execution. He cares that you are well fed, well cared for, and, well, appreciated as a patron. He connects - with his menu, with his house, with the community, and with you as soon as you walk in the door at Verbena. So what are you waiting for. Go. Eat. Enjoy. And bring a damn good red.

Yet another AMAZING DINNER at Verbena. As always, Chef Scott knocks it out of the park, and the waitstaff as well, can't be beat! For you foodies out there, please, please, give this place a try. If you've ever wanted to go to Tallulah's Table and can't get in (or even if you can) do yourself a favor and also try Verbena. It's truly in the same echelon of food. For my fellow picky eaters out there, I am not the pickiest of eaters, but I am a bit picky and not terribly adventurous. But every time I've been to Verbena - even if the description of the dish made me think "I don't know if I'd like that," when I tried it I always liked it more than expected and often LOVED it! Do yourself a favor, and give Verbena a try if you haven't already. You won't regret it!
