Verdant Hill Hotel Kuala Lumpur

We had a very positive experience at this hotel. Despite arriving early, the staff kindly arranged an early check-in for one of our rooms, which was greatly appreciated. Our room was clean and well-maintained, with all the basic necessities a traveler needs. The housekeeping was excellent—they cleaned the room thoroughly while we were out and were respectful of our personal belongings. The daily breakfast buffet was hearty and satisfying. The pool area was also clean and inviting. While the vegan options were limited, this is fairly common in Malaysia and not a specific fault of the hotel. The staff were consistently attentive and friendly, making our stay even more pleasant. Overall, a great choice for a comfortable stay.

Every time I visit KL, Verdant Hill is my top choice. It’s a charming, unassuming hotel just 5 minutes away from Jalan Alor, the famous food street. Location The hotel is about a 9-minute leisurely walk to Bukit Bintang MRT/LRT. Along the way, you’ll pass by many bars and massage parlors, and in the evenings you may notice some characters loitering around. They’re easy to spot, harmless if ignored, and I’ve had no issues even while walking with my kids at night. Just stay aware of your surroundings. Services Housekeeping does an excellent job—our room was always spotless, and you can really see the effort they put in. Breakfast is another highlight, with a wide selection: local dishes (including delicious Sarawak laksa, a must-try for visitors), an egg station, pastries, Indian dishes, fruits, and desserts. Plenty to satisfy every appetite. Staff The staff are friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile. Overall I highly recommend this hotel. If you’re comfortable walking and plan to use public transport, Verdant Hill is an excellent base. From here, I’ve easily walked to Fahrenheit, Lot 10, Pavilion, Sungei Wang, and Berjaya Times Square. Just remember to bring an umbrella for KL’s unpredictable weather!

This hotel is in a nice quiet back street not far from the super hectic Bukit Bintang area. The hotel still has traces of overused modern elegance and airy feeling. The pool is definitely a big plus to cook off KL's relentless heat and humidity. Buffet breakfast was nice but could gets really crowded with the guests. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

I do not recommend this hotel, mainly due to the "Noise" section elaborated below. Location: Great location in the heart of KL. Plenty of restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood. The evening vibes are great in the neighborhood. Staff: Only one of the staff members at the reception seemed friendly and polite, while the others just seem to be bit unfriendly. Check-in: Fast and smooth check-in process. Parking: While the parking is effectively free for guests, it's a hassle. You're supposed to your own TouchNGo card (or something similar) to enter the parking area, and before taking the car out of parking, you're supposed to verify/validate your card so that no money is deducted. This is required every time. Instead of all this, the hotel could just provide their own parking access card that work just like a room access card. Rooms: Weird floor plan. Wastage of space at the room entrace, effectively reducing the usable space in the rooms. Decent bedding and linen. Rest everything's standard. Noise: This one's worth mentioning. Extremely poor noise isolation across different rooms. If someone turns on a tap or a shower in any of the neighboring rooms, you'll hear a sharp and loud noise that's enough to spoil your sleep in an otherwise quiet and calm setup. Same if someone opens a door or talks in the lobby. The staff is indifferent about these issues. It's a deal-breaker IMO. Never experienced something like this in any hotel before. Breakfast: Decent options, lots of varieties and healthy options too.

Pleasant hotel that ticks most boxes, though I feel it just scrapes into a 4 star rating. It was generally quiet. PROS: Great location, central to most attractions and public transport. Staff are helpful. Spacious room, clean. TV has good choice of channels, including movies. Nice breakfast area, plenty of choice (go before 9am, gets busy). Nice pool and bar area. CONS: Bed is very firm, we found it uncomfortable. Carpet & bathroom well overdue for updating, looks tired - mould in grout & basin edges. TV picture is poor - dark & grainy. We stayed 7 nights & didn’t mind it, but prefer a newer hotel with softer beds.

Quite a good stay, I would recommend it, despite of minor annoyances. PROS: - breakfast options are pretty neat, I liked authentic Mayan and Indian options - nice view from a window - quiet neighborhood (you can really book something very close and have on going night party - this hotel is in the quiet location) - location - close to Bukit Bintang - vibrant and authentic district of KL - location - close to the Rabbit Hole restaurant cafe - very modern restaurant with fantastic the best coffee in KL! - location - also close to a few local restaurants with authentic Malay food CONS: - lot of dirt below the bed (tons of dirt and some leftovers from previous guests, such a small bottle!) - staff asks for money even for small requests - for example - I asked for the towel for a kid (we were 2+1 but got only two towels) and reception guy asked for money; later, when I requested for extra towel (I had to do this everyday), I wasn't asked for extra charge

The Hotel Was Superb. Location is nice. Hotel service also good there staff served nicely understanding staff in hotel Rooma are clean and good. Need add some more Veg Option in breakfast lunch and dinner rest. Staff coordinate politely with customer's.
